I’m reluctant to give a good rating, considering my past experience here. However… they are turning me around quickly. I received a random message from them this week offering me 50% off services for the next 3 months. the timing was eerie because i was trying to find an inexpensive salon for a hair makeover. I asked if I could come in to meet with a stylist before I booked anything to see if my vision could be achieved in my budget. I was booked with Alyssa for this morning and we definitely clicked. We both had a vision and we met in the middle. They rearranged things and fit me in right away to get it all done. the results were AMAZING!!! I couldn’t be happier with my hair. I don’t think I can afford to keep going there after the 3 month deal ends, but for now I’m happy return to Pink Lime. Good job guys.

The main redeeming quality I can discern for this business is that the management is nice and the employees told me that they are treated well. However, this place leaves a lot of room for improvement. I would NOT pay full price for the salon services. My feedback to Pink Lime — You really need to spruce up your mani/pedi room. Your«Royal» chairs look like they belong to a previous dynasty, they’re in bad shape and any of the local Vietnamese sweatshop places can meet your price while offering better service and supplies(massage chairs, better nailpolish selection, actual hand/leg massage with a spa mani/pedi, UV light nail dryer so less smudging later, air conditioning in the room because it’s really humid, hot and sweaty in there). You don’t want to give the impression that your salon is from a bygone era. Also my nailpolish bubbled, I think because a) there was no dryer and b) the topcoat was old and thick. You really need to step up your professionalism.

This salon is frequently empty when I walk by so I was a bit concerned about the quality of the cuts. I was really happy with my cut but not thrilled with the price so I will continue to try the many salons out there with higher recommendations on Unilocal :) An overview of my experience: I saw the 40% off student price sign in the window and they had a stylist with an open appointment who could see me right away which was nice, but I definitely was not expecting for the cut w/o tax or tip AFTER the 40% to be about $ 70. The styist was friendly and did some great work. I asked about the price after and the cashier told me it was because she had senior level experience. I really liked my cut but would not pay the $ 100+ for the cut. The other thing missing from my experience is a scalp massage during the hair wash which is one thing I that always made going for my cut so relaxing. I always looked forward to it at my salon where I used to live. They have good comfortable chairs but no scalp massage really… The inside of the salon is nice. Lots of natural light and very industrial looking inside-open piping on the very tall ceilings. I would for sure go back.-with a coupon.

I can’t argue with the other reviews regarding the price of services at Pink Lime, I would not(couldn’t afford to) go at regular price, but I got a dealfind discount for a haircut w/deep conditioning. And I have to say that I walked out of there with a great haircut. I am very pleased with the final result — though with the high prices, I can understand why the place was deserted.

I have been wanting to check this place out for quite awhile now and always found it to be very expensive so I avoided it — Until i got a living social deal… yep $ 75 for $ 150…I thought OK I can afford this… so I purchased it and booked my appointment for a facial. A real treat for me! The morning of my appointment, an emergency came up and I had to cancel… so I called as soon as I new that I wouldn’t be able to come… Thinking that I was a new customer and all they MAY understand… well nope… they said they had to cut my GC in half… so just $ 75 and if you have looked on their website you will know that literally gets you nothing, so I said I would have to look at what was within my budget and rebook my service, then I was told that I could not change my service… so I needed to stay with the facial that was crazy expensive($ 165) and therefore would have to come up with the rest to get it if I wanted to use my GC. I was very upset and just left it. Later that evening I decided to email them and tell them my situation… so fine I get a response from the manager or whom ever and says they really can’t help me out and it is policy and that they would offer me the same facial but for 30 minutes at a price of $ 105. Still to much especially for 30 minutes I thought but I went a head and booked it… to at least use my GC. So I get there and they proceed to check me in and state how I cancelled and that they were only honouring half of my GC and that didn’t include tax… Not only did I hear and get the message the rest of the clients did too. So the estecian comes to greet me and take me upstairs… She says hello and have you had a facial before? i said yes and she showed me to the room, said she would give me time to get comfortable and be with me in a few minutes. She never said another word until she said OK you are done and I will meet you downstairs. I never saw her again… Needless to say… NOTIMPRESSED… they tried to sell me on a VIP membership, I declined for obvious reasons. I was super excited to FINALLY get to try this place only to be so disappointed. :(Would I return? NOPE, not knowing what I know now.

ONEWORD = PRETENTIOUS I agree with the other reviews. This place is only interested in making money. The stylist did not listen to me whatsoever. I went in with long mid back length hair and asked to get about 2 inches taken off and even showed the stylist the shortest length I wanted. I came out with a chin length hair cut! Plus, no one my age even has the style of cut she gave me! I have never been so dissatisfied with a hair cut in my life! The bald man who answers phones and takes money still made me pay!!! He was originally CHARGINGME $ 80! That is the most expensive hair cut ever. I even found out the stylist was only in the industry for 4 years! $ 80 is completely ridiculous. Anyway, to make a long story short, I did not once get an apology for their mistakes. They did not even seem concerned that they butchered my hair. They took absolutely no responsibility for their actions and it was the WORSTCUSTOMERSERVICE I ever experienced. To top it off, I found out the stylist who cut my hair has only been in the industry for 4 years, and she’s giving $ 80 cuts? DONOTGOHERE! So not learning my lesson the first time… I became desperate and decided only to return to the salon for simple haircut. Nothing fancy… just clean up my layer and cut my bangs… I read the website and it said haircuts starting at $ 50…I walked out paying $ 80!!! Can you believe it?! For a clean up!!! I as well, got the $ 10 gift certificates which I threw away as soon as I got home. What a joke! Don’t be as dumb as me and be taught an expensive lesson a second time around… siiiigh!

I came here because I got a gift certificate for a bit of a discount. While I liked my hair a lot, the discount didn’t go very far. This place is so expensive! There are lots of quality high-fashion hair salons in Edmonton, but this place has a mark-up that seems a bit excessive. I heard that the old mayor, Bill Smith, and several sports-celeb types, get their hair cut here. It’s a nice, hip space right downtown, but I never went back because with lots of other great salons to choose from — M.U.D., Shanti, Mousy Brown’s, to name a few — why pay more if you don’t have to? They also have a whole assortment of spa services like massage, body wraps, mani/pedis and waxing, which is the direction many salons are taking these days as more and more women seek the luxuries of spa services.
