Tried it for the first time a couple days ago. Yeah, it’s alright. The meat is fresh, the fries are plentiful. I just feel that it lacked something, and I can’t quite put my finger on it. Not to say I won’t come back, but I do think there are better places out there.

Unlimited refills when you get the soda pop, free peanuts, good quality hamburgers with yummy customizable toppings? This makes for a good casual dining experience. That said I was rather disappointed with the fries on my most recent visit here. I don’t know what it was about the fries but although there was copious amounts of them, they weren’t as delicious as I’ve had elsewhere. That said I did like the fact that they still had potato peels on them. The burger was good but it often tries to fall apart so be sure to eat it quickly enough. The seating area is pretty good and the windows let in a lot of light. Colouring pages exist for kids and staff clears tables frequently. This place is definitely not a good one to visit with anyone with a peanut allergy — the free peanuts are everywhere. But if you like peanuts in the shell it’s a perfect place to visit!

Best burger I have had, with the exception of my homemade ones of course! Little pricy, but worth it! Love to munch on the peanuts while waiting for my order.

The Guys pile on the fries and the beef is actually ground meat without filler. All other burger joints I have been to have gristle or a lot of filler. All those amazing free toppings are incredible. If you are a vegetarian restaurant owner do not serve beef to your customers, because you do not know what you are serving your customers.(Comment to other burger joints I can’t believe they know what they are serving.

If you want a burger… This is the place to go. Don’t forget to ask for the A1 sauce… It will take your burger to the next level. Also, make sure you ask for Cajun spice on your fries; you’ll be glad you did!

What a disappointment! The burgers here are super processed and taste like stadium fare. We got 2 double burgers and the meat tastes like the low quality factory farm sausage patty from like 10 different cows. Plus the cheese well I haven’t had cheese slices since I was seven. Am I the only one that taste buds have changed since being a kid? Processed beef and processed cheese slices served on a white sesame roll. YUCK.

I had eaten at this establishment before in England and wanted to try the Canadian version and was not disappointed. Based on the other reviews here, it must have been their quiet hour when we arrived because the floors and tables were spotless, no loose peanuts to be found. The burgers were phenomenal. A bit crispy on the edges but not in a burnt way, they were delicious. Haha too many fries! Don’t get me wrong they were salty bundles on awesome but dang we ordered too much. Excellent dining experience.

I expected much better for a place that served only burger and fries. Service is very slow. From enter to exit with food was 30 minutes. That 30 minutes was terrible, given the loud rock music and everyone(customers & employees), having to yell over the noise. The time I spent waiting for my food was spent watching the kitchen crew. Of the five guys, only one worked consistently. Given the demand and wait time for the food, they could have & should have worked more efficiently in producing the food. Food: Burger was average to below average. The only thing remarkable about it was that one of the patties was in two pieces, and one of them fell out of the burger. Fries were very greasy and salty. If the oil was let to drain, and much less salt was put on, then they might have been tasted. Self-aggrandizing newspaper articles and advertisements posted on the walls try to social engineer the customers into thinking that the restaurant is great. Anyone with their own mind and with active taste buds know that these decorations are promotion only.

I ordered a cheese burger, fries, and a coke. The total cost of the meal was ~ $ 14. Time waited for order: 30 mins. The burger had a regular sesame seed bun, greyish yellow processed cheese, iceberg lettuce, and onions on it. If it didn’t have a slight taste of residual diluted bleach(which it did, I’m assuming from the incorrectly rinsed off food preparation surface), I would compare it with an average tasting burger from your average local mom and pop diner. The fries, were horrible. ½ of them were small slivered end pieces burned beyond consumption, and I had to dig my burger out from underneath them, because the fool working in the kitchen dumped the cup of fries on top of it before he gave me the bag. Also, they use Idaho potatoes. Why use Idaho, when there are readily available Kennebec potatoes? Oh right, because they’re cheaper. Way overcooked, and over seasoned. Do yourself a favour, save your time & money and support your local Mom and Pop diner, or pub. Much more for your dollar. This place is 100% hype.

The burgers here were great and the service was fast. We ordered 5 burgers with a variety of fixings, and 2 large fries. We barely had dug into our free peanuts when our number was called and our order was up! Maybe we got lucky and went on a slow night but I was impressed and how quickly everything was made and to order. Now, it’s not a cheap night out for fries and a burger for sure. It was over $ 60 for 5 of us and note that we shared 2 large fries between us(no worries — there are enough fries in the bag to make up another whole order). And, while it appears to have a veggie option on the menu there is NOPATTY on the veggie burger — it’s just the vegetables from the fixings menu which is a little deceiving. I know it’s a burger joint but sometimes you are there for the kids and mum would like a different option. The other reason I’m only giving this place 3 stars is because I was freezing while I ate. I understand the workers have to stay cool while they are cooking but that means the customers are freezing while they eat. This is the second time I’ve been to this location and frozen while I’ve eaten my meal.

These guys continue to hit it out of the park. Offering good burgers and great service, this location of Five Guys is recommended. Protip: as it will likely strike you as being dry and uninspired, avoid getting a plain burger; the bacon cheeseburger is the way to roll here. You don’t need fries, either, as free peanuts are available to all. When both of the foregoing are combined with a complementary cup of water, you’ll be betting a better meal for the same price than you would at McDonald’s, Wendy’s, A&W, Harvey’s, Burger King, etc.

They’re okay, but not worth going out of your way for. There are some nice touches(made to order, unlimited free toppings, free peanuts while you wait, etc.) so if you’re in the area it’s a good place to go, but I wouldn’t drive too far to try it.

Decent burger but way overpriced for something that is pretty much middle of the road. REally good fries though.

Just had lunch at five guys burgers in south Edmonton common. The location is clean. Staff was friendly and quick. The food was delicious. I ordered a cheese burger with all toppings. I didnt know it came with a double patty. The portions were perfect size. The fries were great but overkill. I probably threw away half the fries. Id recommend this place however it was pretty pricy for a «quick burger». My burger, fries and drink were $ 15.50. Enjoy. Please let me know if this review was useful. I appreciate it.

I gotta be honest, I was really expecting a LOT more. After hearing so many people recommend this place, our expectations were sky high! The interior is pretty cool, wide open with an old-school diner feel. But when it came to the burgers, my gf and I were pretty disappointed to say the least. They were okay… but not even in the same UNIVERSE as Fatburger! Quite frankly, I would rather have a burger from Carls Jr or Soda Jerks than this place. On the plus side, the fries were really good and you get a lot of them, but that’s about where it ends. They do give you all-you-can-eat peanuts but I’m not a huge fan and there’s a million peanut shells on the tables, floors, everywhere. I just don’t get the hype. As a burger lover, I WANTED to like this place and I’m not sure if they just had an off day or what but we haven’t been back since.

So I’ve been anticipating this for awhile. As a self titled burger aficionado I had to get my burger fix from five guys. So I ordered me a bacon cheese burger with grilled onions and mushrooms, mayo, lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, ketchup, relish and mustard. I was definitely not disappointed in the burger. However the fries really aren’t that great in my opinion, and at the time the coca cola needed to be changed as it had a pretty watered down taste to it. Like I said the burger was pretty good, but for the $ 17 price rage all told I think I could’ve gone somewhere that would’ve been better. I can see it being a $ 14 meal but it really isn’t worth the $ 17 it cost me in my opinion. At least it was tasty.

This is burger heaven in Edmonton. Five guys whips up a mean burger. Why is so good? A great meat to bun ratio, unlimited soda, and fries that overflow into the bag. They serve all you can eat peanuts while you wait, and you can get something like a million servings on your burger(no extra charge) When 5 gives was in Airdre we used to go there on the way to Calgary. Now that it’s in South Common I love hitting it their for a treat. That should be their slogan«Five guys: worth going to Airdrie for» Pros Great Burgers Massive Fries Lots of toppings Cons No drive through

No matter what time you go, this place is always busy with a line up, and with good reason! The burgers here are TODIEFOR. A little bit on the pricier side, as it will cost around $ 30 for two adults to eat. However, the quality of the food is top notch. Everything is fresh, from the potatoes to the meat. You can REALLY taste the difference in the quality of food here. I am not a huge meat eater, however when I want a good quality burger, I will come here. The food does not taste greasy or sit heavy in your tummy like most fast food places. There is unlimited refills on pop and a huge portion of fries(Cajun or normal). IMO, this place is better than Fat Burger. Space is clean and bright, you can see everything being cooked in front of you. One little complaint is that the place is very noisy and customers don’t often hear their order numbers being called, much to the frustration of the busy staff!

You know what you are getting when you go into a 5 Guys — and this location is pretty much right on target. Good burgers — above fast food but below«sit down». Good fries — and LOTS of them. Clean tables and floors — hats off the the kids running around, constantly doing upkeep. Fast service — depending on how busy they are. If you enjoy 5 Guys, this location will meet your expectations.

Pricey burger, but the toppings choices are great for customization. The fries were very good. Found the whole place a little messy with all the peanut shells. For the price, I would like to sit at a clean table and not have to pump my ketchup.
