Abe’s Barber Shop

Abe & his crew are awesome. Never disappointed when my man gets his hair cut & beard trimmed. Definitely recommend to anybody looking for a amazing barber! They also have a location on the north side in North Town Center. Affordable and Talented!

This place is hit or miss. they have a constant rotation of terrible barbers. Don’t recommend this place

This place is the best place to get your beard trimmed. They do an excellent job every time. My son won’t get his hair cut anywhere else.

I’ve been seeing Abe for about 8 years now. That place feels more like a hang out then it does my barber shop. He’s got a great solid crew in West Ed with a few new rookies who bring a great modern look on men’s fashion.
Anything I’ve ever asked of Abe, wether it be a new hair style or advise on what’s fashionable, he’s been on point and top notch.
I trust nobody else to touch my hair or beard.
I even go to the point that if he’s not working at his West Edmonton Mall location… I will drive all the way to his Northgate Abes Barber Shop 2 to get my hair cut.
I entrust him with men’s grooming so much that I send all my clients who require a barber to him… without hesitation.
Great vibe in his west Ed location and a beautiful spot in Northgate.
I’m now experiencing Bohdi Spa which is attached to his Northgate location for massage therapy and his Girl there is phenomenal.

Disaster. I think The guy is psyco and so rude. Just because I asked him to cut a bit more after showing me his work in the mirror, he started to loose his mind and told me u r moving your head too much I could hurt myself, excuse me??? Who is holding the sharp tools here and who’s tied up in a confined seat??? He made me feel that A prime minister is cutting my hair and I just wasted 2 more minutes of his valuable time.
No service culture at ALL, never go there.

This place is absolutely disappointing. There are only 2 good barbers here and the rest don’t know what they are doing. On top of that they charge $ 21 for a haircut and expect a tip… really? I understand you want to be fast about your service but at least give a good haircut. I’ve been there a couple times thinking maybe the next time will be better but Im honestly better off cutting my hair at home…

Getting a haircut can be an intimidating thing for a guy in this day-​and-​age. It seems that all that’s around are new age hair salons that advertise «colour-​cut-​style-​wax» and charge like $ 800. There’s also old-​school barbershops with the swirly thing out front and some guy 90-​years old inside with a white smock and a straight razor who wants to make you look like your grandfather.
Abe’s bridges the gap between the old guard and the new. There’s an LCD TV hanging from every vertical surface in the shop that play all the current sporting events (except pay-​per-​view). The staff are friendly but they’re not very talkative, which is cool. I guess they assume that the customers are into the game.
The shop is bigger than it appears from outside. Abe’s waiting area is tiny and at first glance it appears that they’re really busy if there are as little as two guys sitting there. If you poke your head inside you’ll see that the place is quite sizable with many barbers on duty. Often the people at the front are just waiting for their buddies inside and not necessarily waiting for a haircut themselves.
The barbers do good work and they’re fast. Prices are reasonable at $ 21 and you won’t come out looking like Seigfried and Roy.

I usually get a decent cut here, not the friendliest place in the world but I take what I can get. I showed up today at 8:30, was the only person waiting and was told they couldn’t take me. Their hours of operation say they are open until 9 which is the standard mall hours. I ha e short hair that only takes 15 minutes to cut, would have been done long before 9. I have been getting my hair cut here for almost 2 years, I will not be returning.
