This is one of my favourite places to go, and my absolute Go-To place place for Spicy Salmon Sashimi(No joke, order it once here and you’ll never go anywhere else). To put how much I love Sushi Town into perspective; I live in surrey and drive about 30 – 45 mins just to get my «sushi fix» at Sushi Town. Not only are their prices excellent, but their portions are exactly what anyone would want for that price. If you’re looking to sit down and enjoy your meal on-site, this place offers a very friendly, clean, and quite environment. Staff are always serving you with a smile. They greet you when you walk in, and thank you on your way out. If you’re in a hurry and want to grab sushi on the go, no worries, they got you covered. Give them a call in advance(be mindful however of the lunch rush) and you can have your order ready for pick up. What can I say, this place is just… well, if you can recall how Aladdin described Jasmine to Genie? That’s pretty much what I want to do, except I’m describing a sushi restaurant. Only cons I can think of is that tough left-turn past the school to get parking. On a busy time, you’ll probably wait about 2 – 3 mins just to make the turn, but the wait is very well worth it. I recommend ordering; Spicy Salmon Sahimi Don, Unagi Roll, and Smoked Salmon Cream Cheese Roll(Yes, I am one of those people that actually like it). If you find yourself having that sushi craving, this is the place to go.

There will be times when I came to Sushi Town for a quick post workout meal. Every time I go here though, it is the spicy sashimi that is trying to get my attention. I do not know what about it is. However, when I am seeing people who work at the gym eating this stuff, then it is a good recommendation to come here. So I would come here with my friends for some spicy sashimi and whatever delicious food is available. I ordered their spicy sashimi along having some tuna sushi. The sashimi has a nice touch of sweetness to complement the spicy flavour. It was great to help me lose some of the body fat I was trying to get rid. The tuna sushi is okay. Conventional tuna sushi, Nothing special. Overall, this is one of those sushi places that I would recommend people to go to because of the fact they do provide the right type of food needed to recover after a hard workout. For everyone else, it is a good place if you want to have a good time with your family and friends.

Quick service and good quality! My favourite is their seasoned saba nigiri and grilled unagi nigiri. Huge pieces of fish!

Great place! Amazing value! We eat here often — the location is close to family members, the food tastes great, and the prices are very reasonable.

Honestly, I love Sushi Town, but I’m a little biased and here’s why : Sushi Town is my neighbourhood favourite. I’ve been coming here for almost 9 years now, which is a feat in itself because its almost half my life, but I always come back. It’s cheap, its safe, and they know exactly how I like my Alaska rolls. It’s gotten to the point where my friends always know what I order: an Alaska roll and a spicy salmon roll. This place also brings memories for me, as I can recall all the friends and family I’ve brought here. Anywho, in terms of the restaurant and food: They give generous portions with the sashimi, and their house made spicy sauce is a delicious mix of sweet and spicy. I also love their takoyaki, which always comes piping hot. The salad dressing on the Alaska roll is also delicious. The service is great if it isn’t busy, but when the restaurant is full it can be a little slow. Also, if you’re coming with a large group, it can be quite a wait for a dinner rush. If you’re in the area, just grab takeout instead. All in all, I love this place. Never change, Sushi Town.

The location is a smaller, older more awkward location than the others but the food is the same. Our table was really wobbly so I think its time they invest in upgrading their tables. The food was decent for the price. A bit too much rice and not tightly enough rolled sushi but the flavor was there for sure.

Seriously do not ever expect good service here, you will be disappointed. However, the food is always prepared well. The only complaint I would have is that sushi rice is supposed to be cold and chewy, but their’s is always warm and soft. Otherwise it’s pretty good and their sashimi is very fresh. Would recommend the chicken teriyaki, portions are super big!

I don’t understand why this place has such high reviews. The cold sushi was warm and nothing seemed very fresh. Does«edible» translate as «fresh» or even«palatable» to people? They are very different things. I walked through the doors to a horribly offensive odor, which was a cross between fish and dirty mop to receive horrible service(which is the standard in this city, so nothing offensive there) and run of-the-mill americanized(fake crab and mayo) sushi.

I needed to rate Sushi Town with four stars simply because anything you order is very fresh and the price is extremely reasonable. One of my favs is the spicy salmon don & the spicy tuna rolls. Again, always very fresh. I live downtown and instead of walking 3 min to any of the 5 different sushi joints on the block, I’ll take the short drive up to Sushi Town. I think that right there says a lot, haha. It is usually busy on week nights, especially weekend evenings and sometimes I’ll have to wait at least 10 min for a table. No big deal though. The place is nothing fancy and the staff are decent. They take your order, make sure your drinks are filled(for the most part) and hand you your bill when you’re ready. Great place to have good quality sushi at an amazing price! I will always return when the crave strikes :)

We ordered quite a bit of sushi(one of the party trays). I was quite impressed that just about every piece tasted fresh and was cut generously. The service was a bit slow, but polite. I felt that the price for the amount of sushi we got was very reasonable. I would definitely recommend this location for some quick, quality sushi.

Sushi Town has been fairly reliable for me over the years in terms of consistency and best bang for your buck. The spicy salmon sashimi, negitoro roll, toro nigiri, and awesome roll are my favorites. I tend to get takeout more often than eat in, as it gets quite busy during lunch and dinner hours; however hubby and I recently came here for a late lunch on a Saturday afternoon between 1:30−2 and were able to get a seat right away even though most of the tables were still occupied. Don’t expect 5 star service, but I have noticed that service has improved slightly over the years. From our experience, the servers are more diligent in refilling tea(they were previously awful at this) and seem friendlier. I was disappointed with the BC roll though, as it was a large roll but 80% of it was cucumber. They might as well make it a smaller roll. It’s too bad, I used to love their BC rolls. 3.5 stars.

I am a regular customer and usually order take out entrees. I would not recommend sitting in. This is not the best place if you want good quality, consistent rolls. PROS: — decent prices — fast service — friendly staff CONS: — whole restaurant smells like fish — its usually very humid — everytime I sit in, I am constantly waving away fruit flies from my food — cramped seating, crowded standing room by the door — extremely sloppy rolls with tons of extra rice as filler — rolls are packed with mainly cucumber as a filling ** Once I sat in on a weekday afternoon when it wasn’t very busy, and to the table next to me was an employee leaning against the wall taking a nap. When the waiter came by and saw that we were looking at the sleeping employee, he said«Oh, haha yeah sorry», and continued to take our order.” Professionalism at its finest.

Looks like it’s been renovated since I last ate here, as I usually do pickup anyways. Always best to call ahead as they’ll give you different times, can vary from 15 min to even an hour during prime time. Their signature is the Awesome roll. Have heard great things about their toro sashimi too.

This is honesty mine and my family’s favourite and go to sushi restaurant. The food is always delicious and the restaurant is always very clean. Not to mention the food comes fairly quickly(although the line up can be brutal) and the quality is spot on. And with amazing, friendly, staff what’s not to love? My favourite dishes are the awesome roll, chicken teriyaki entrée and the udon. The portions are receive for the salmon sashimi are also very generous! Give this place a try, you won’t regret it!

Even though there were several people in front of us when we got there, the turnover rate was pretty quick, so we did not have to wait too long for a table. Tip: once you get there, quickly write your name down on the paper right inside the door. It’s first come first serve! The portions were big! Spicy salmon sashimi is a must. The roast — katsu was pretty good. The Awesome Roll was not as awesome as I had hoped, but it was good. The seafood salad was ok — I would have been happy to have bypassed this dish. I would come back just to try a few more dishes.

Not Canadian but making a trip to Vancouver soon? Find yourself asking what should you eat while your stay up there? My top answer would be: sushi! If you love sushi like I do then Vancouver has many options to offer. Sushi Town is far shy of a fusion or trendy joint. It’s a simple local eatery for Canadians, located outside of metro Vancouver City in a more chilled out place called Burnaby. I’m not saying you need to rent a car and make it a mission to this restaurant. There are many places to go to especially in the city but if you are in these parts of town, then I would recommend giving it a shot. Generally speaking, Vancouver truly has fresh sushi, the chefs give you huge cuts, and the most shocking thing to a Los Angeles native like me was the cheap prices. We stopped at Sushi Town because this use to be one of her spots back in the day. Steer clear from that Atlantic salmon we’re so use to down south. That’s AKA«farm» raised salmon. You’re in the Pacific Northwest; this is where you order the freshly caught wild stuff. Get yourself an order of the wild salmon. First notice the huge brick-like cuts sitting before your eyes. No, it’s not your lucky day. This is how they do it here. Second, look at the color of the fish itself. Yes, that’s what wild salmon flesh looks like. It hasn’t been poisoned and intoxicated with a bunch of chemicals and what not. If you are looking for a kick, then try their wild spicy salmon. There’s tons of Sriracha(Red Rooster) sauce in it. An aZn college kid’s past time favorite condiment. I’m so use to seeing Toro and other such special cuts for«MP» in LA. That’s scary talk for: Do you have your nifty credit card ready sir? Not here. Splurge, live, gorge, and enjoy. I’ve had many sashimi and all kinds of nigiri sushi, including some of their specialty rolls. All pretty tasty overall. By the way, we’re use to saying hand roll but don’t be surprised when they say cone instead. Salmon skin hand roll = salmon skin cone. I like Sushi Town because it’s pretty chillaxed. The prices are great and the fish(the two times I’ve went) was fresh. Again, there are tons of places to get your sushi fix on in Vancouver so choose wisely my friends. However, this place would be one of my go to spots for the Burnaby area.
