Friendly staff helped me pick a variety of Belgian chocolate. I always make it clear that I only like to purchase dark ones; most times, people recommend something still too sweet. This place was on point in selecting dark, bitter-tasting, authentic Belgian chocolate for me. Their waffles are nowhere near as good as the small Belgian waffle stores on the other side of the street, though. This place is also quite packed with tourist groups. It was probably the best Belgian chocolate store in the area, but unlikely among the top within the whole city of Brussels. I shall have to do my research for more authentic, less touristy Belgian chocolate shops for my next visit to Belgium.

This is a lovely place to buy chocolate in Brussels. It is a cut above the commodity places and much more accessible than Pierre Marcolini

To the locals this is probably an average place for waffles, but for someone like me, these waffles were the best I ever had. Talk about true Belgian waffles, these were freakin’ awesome. The texture was so right on, lightly crispy on the outside and soft and warm in the center. Nothing in the States can beat these. My wife and I tried the hazelnut and caramel waffles. They were so good, we probably finished them in 30 seconds. They also sell gourmet chocolates and ice cream. They had some interesting chocolate flavors like curry, ginger, cinnamon, etc. Out of all the things we did in Belgium, the most memorable were the waffles at Corné. We want to come back just to eat the waffles here.
