Great café. Spacious, friendly on point service and a large up to the minute menu. The design is light and bright but welcoming at the same time.

Umm have you heard of a Narnie? I like to think that it was named that because something so great could only come from a mystical land like Narnia, whatever the origin… YOUMUSTTRYONE. It is a naan sandwich and the brisket one even comes with chipotle mayo… so just to let that percolate that is delicious naan surrounding tender brisket with savoury creamy chipotle mayo and crisp pickle slices… genius…and I don’t just throw that word around for fun! Hungover, sober, hungry… all reasons to try a Narnie. I really like the beef brisket Narnie but really you can’t go wrong. One time my housemate and I realised that it was almost cut off time when Three Williams stops serving nannies, AKA sadness o’clock, so we placed an order over the phone and they let us do that which I thought was excellent customer service.

First visit, I rated this place very highly for the customer service and food. You need to try the Maple cured bacon breakfast, which is essentially a thick pork rasher, cured like bacon in maple with a poached egg and seeded toast. Coffee is much of a muchness, but they do have beer and also a thing which is like a Peanut butter milkshake. I didnt have any trouble getting a table for 4, even though it was decidedly busy and full of inner city wankers and celebs like Michelle Bridges and her Commando BFF. (I guess that means it’s healthy too?) Second visit, I felt like I needed to pull out a copy of the work place sexual harassment guidelines. There was a lot of touchy feely action between the staff, which, at best, was kind of awkward to witness. Staff are attentive to your needs, though it became plain that this kind of efficiency, is a ‘hurry up and get out’ maneuver, albeit well executed that you might not realise unless you were actively assessing for Unilocal review purposes. Food great! Awkward sexual tension between staff not so great! Im trying to eat my porky bacon over here. Side note: Lighting is very dim. They have used Ceiling light fixtures as sconces, but that’s none of my business.

There was no wait for a table. However I felt we waited a while to order. The brioche toast was really good. the pecans sweet and crunchy. There’s enough fruit for every bite. We waited a while to receive our check.

«Would you like to order coffee first?» Asked the wait staff, I said yes please, single origin picollo 1 sugar. Where’s the been from I asked? Let me checked! Then he comeback with barista showing Santa Special Creation blend, and I was taking advantage to take a picture right away, it was cool idea! I did order French brioche with berries and maple bacon, well it was rich. I couldn’t even finished my breaky. I would say this hipster place is doing great job on what they do! I would definitely comeback for some breakfast, and would like to try lunch menu

Maybe I’m immune to the hipster brunch trend, but lately I’m finding that all cafes that serve up brunch are similar. Coffee was strong and bitter and my egg brioche was delicious! However my dining partner’s lunch«narni»(naan bread with sandwich fillings) was just so-so. I’m thinking — no more average ordinary brunches, and saving my money for a really exciting and different brunch experience.

I feel like I stepped into a hipster wonderland, and I was okay with that. I just felt underdressed and wished I upped my brunch outfit game but oh well. Was unsure if we sat ourselves but the people at the counter sat as. The menu was to die for. Had a difficult time choosing what I wanted. Our server was great. I swear, all of the wait staff were Australian men with black hair tied up in their main buns and dressed in the same white shirts and denim overalls. Oddly enough, it completely worked. Food came in good timing. Inhaled our food. However, it took forever for us to pay our bill for some reason. We were under the impression our server would drop off the bill until 20 minutes later the same guy who sat us saw our perplexed faces and told us we could just pay up front. That would’ve been some helpful information/nice to know so we weren’t looking dumb and wasting our time. I would definitely come back to this place to try their other options. This place feels like home.

So on the way to carriageworks for the contemporary art fair, we decided to stop for lunch at three Williams. Best idea. There were a few tables available at 12.15pm on a Saturday — beware that it is a basement so you won’t enjoy the sunshine/light but the space is still quite nice. Service is so friendly, quick and efficient — love that. Oh my god the narnies(15 $)…what a beautiful creation ! I had the slow cooked lamb with eggplants and yoghurt. The bread is moist, the lamb and eggplant were perfectly cooked, melting in my mouth… perfect cumin seasoning and fresh rocket for greens. It is absolutely a must try ! The breakfast menu looked really appealing too, notably the french toast if you have a sweet tooth

It was a freezing rainy Thursday, and I have always wanted to try Three Williams, with my hunger raging it was the perfect day to pop in and I wasn’t disappointed. The service was great and the food was delicious. So many yummy choices, I finally opted for he pulled pork Narnie. It was packed full of flavour and tender pulled pork. I could have done with a little less dressing as it was quite sweet. I will be back to try a few other mouth watering options.

Just when I thought I could be getting sick of brunch, I finally end up at Three Williams(yes I know, it took me long enough!) In a nutshell, it’s a great great place. Firstly, there’s ample space unlike many brunch places(though there are still queues by 1030 on a Sunday). Secondly, there is the unique inclusion of chilli on the breakfast menu(chilli fried egg, spicy salsa) which is a massive pleaser for the chilli lover within me. Thirdly, they still appreciate the value of a good fried egg(why should we all have to eat a healthy poached?!). The service is good, the coffee is good and I thoroughly enjoyed my grilled chorizo, haloumi, eggplant, spinach, fried egg, spicy salsa and sourdough stack.

Three Williams has been on the«Talk of the Town» chart on Urbanspoon for quite some time now, and it seemed like the whole of the Sydney foodie population had eaten there already. Even though their photogenic French toast was very impressive, unfortunately, the overall experience was a hit-and-miss for us.

Amazing food/coffee, service and atmosphere! When I go out somewhere these are always things that matter most to me and Three Williams ticks every single one with a HUGEYES! We walked in around 9am are were friendly greeted not only by the person on the door, but by every waitstaff person that we walked past to our table.(WOW!) We were then approached swiftly with drink orders taken, the waiter was then very courteous and helpful in taking our orders after we needed a little more time. My double ristretto quickly came out with a side of sparkling water(always a plus). It was full bodied, flavoursome and overall delicious! A perfect start! Food wasn’t far behind and as expected was like everything else of extremely high quality! Poached eggs on smashed avo is what I tried this morning(also highly recommend the Merchant burger!). The smashed avo was a good balance of avo, coriander and red onion, eggs were runny and perfectly poached. A second picollo to compliment the food and the morning was complete. Around $ 25 total and a morning well spent. Hugh recommend to anyone who loves great food, quality service and a lovely spacious atmosphere. 5⁄5 we will definitely be back soon!

On a recent mini break, I frolicked from the CBD to Three Williams for brunch. The place was heaving. It was pumping full of beautiful, shiny people, but they still seated us quickly and got our soy lattes super quick. I was drooling over the breakfast menu — so much choice! — and opted for the mushrooms, with poached eggs, smashed avo and a truck load of cheese crumbled on top. First things first — the serve was huge! Could not finish it. My dining companion scored half of it. The toast was crispy, the avo had the perfect salty flavour and the pan fried mushrooms were delicious. Washed down with two soy lattes, I then had enough energy to frolic back to the CBD.

Recommended by a friend’s friend and decided to come here for brunch after church. My friend who stayed at King Cross arrived here ½ hour before I did but after I managed to save a parking spot, we finally got a seat for 5 pax. It was definitely crowded even though the space was considered spacious. Heard the sarnies was good and the toast as well. I tried the Sarnies and the Brioche French toast. For the sarnies, I got the beef one. It had a lot of ingredients in it. The stewed beef brisket was soft and juicy. The ingredients(gherkins) and the condiments(chipotle mayo) on it definitely added flavor to the pita bread which acted like a burger. Definitely a good brunch dish. For the drink, I had super smoothie. It was a cold pressed juice and it was definitely a refreshing juice and filling especially combining them with mains. Servers were friendly and they got to us within seconds after raising our hands(glass of water, bill, utensils, etc). Price wise, for the food portions, it was definitely reasonably good. Parking might be tough as I had to turn to the same road twice before securing a parking spot.

I really don’t think you can have enough Williams. Three is certainly on the stingy side. If Williams were readily available, say in a six pack, then I wouldn’t need to go to Redfern to get heirloom tomatoes and Serrano ham with two beautifully poached eggs with smoked cheese sauce and avocado(which for once had not been smashed up but simply sliced) …phew. long sentence… and a great cup of coffee.

So I’ve been meaning to come to this café for a while. And now I regret to coming here earlier. This place is great! A little bit hipster, but now a days everything is. I personally came to try the coffee. As I love Single Origin, I knew this place would have good coffee — and yes you can guess it did. I actually had 3 cups here and all were good! Then I decided to stay for the food. And seriously worth it. Everything that was ordered was amazing! But the cherry on top of the cake is the staff — seriously friendly and attentive. Recently places that are ‘popular’ have a snobbish attitude. I can’t stand when they act as we should be thanking them for eating there. This place is not like this, which is refreshing. Ok rant over. The other thing, and this is going to sound weird, is the music. They had really cool music. I know that’s weird, because who notices the music? But that’s the point. The music was so good that I noticed it. So if you are Redfern, drop by. Trust me. It’s worth it.

Surprisingly no waiting time over here, I went on two different occasions for breakfast on a Saturday and Sunday. Saturday had a queue but well managed by a dedicated member of staff at the door. The Sunday on the other hand was pretty empty not even half-filled. None of that communal table business and bar seating here. Yes, you can have your own table. I don’t know if some people actually enjoy those sharing huge tables but certainly don’t. THEMERCHANT $ 13 Well prepared ingredients, classic bacon and egg roll but of course improved with a slight kick from the chilli and acidity and crunch of the slaw, all of that encased in a fresh brioche bun. BIGWILLIAM $ 18 Bacon, fried eggs, Nuremberg sausage, Roma tomato, hash, onion relish Almost the typical big breakfast, it was done to a high standard. The unique selling point here is the onion relish which is absolutely divine with the sweetness of the tomatoes. Big William is there to hit the spot and fill you up… SIGNATUREHOUSEMADENARNIE $ 15 This one is a dilemma and I’ll tell you why. All the elements are well excuted. Lots of textures but flavour-wise it was too simple and lacked moisture. If we go back to the origins of the naan, it is at its most delicious when dipped or even soaked in curry. Here the narnie was so dry in the mouth, the roast beef despite being very tender did add texture but lacked flavour and sauce. All those factor just made each bite so dry. FISHCROQUETTES, LEMONAIOLI $ 6 More potato than fish, very nice comfort food. BEERBATTEREDCHIPSWITHHOUSEAIOLI $ 7 Chips were one of the best I ate all year, very crispy with a light aerated batter. Excellent and very addictive as they should be. PEANUTCARAMELSHAKE $ 6 This shake is very good, the peanut taste is distinct with the caramel giving that sweetness kick. The most surprising thing is the size of the cup, at $ 6 only it can easily be shared by two people. BANANA, MEDIJOOLDATEANDWALNUTPRALINESMOOTHIE $ 7 For the banana-lovers out there, this is a must. I would return just for this and the chips. Strong and natural tasting smoothie, great with the extra sweetness coming from the dates and extra thickness from the praline. Although I still prefer the Banana shake from Devon Café. Conclusion Do you want a high quality brekky/brunch with the luxury of your own table, you might want to give Three Williams a try. I still have to try the French Toast and Salads but overall strong menu that can please everyone and consistent execution makes this place worth revisiting for me. Just not a fan their«narnie» creation. @thesydneynoob
