Loud! And the tables are so close together. The dessert sizes were incredibly small and the cappuccino was lukewarm, at best. The prices weren’t too bad, given the status that Lindt has. My observation was that there were not enough staff on duty and therefore those who are on duty are quite busy. That doesn’t allow them to take the time to be attentive. Would I return? Probably, but only because my wife loves Lindt chocolate so much!

One of the nicest dessert cafes I have been to in Australia. The staff are kind and attentive, and all food is clearly freshly prepared to order, and the price is very reasonable considering the brand. I have been here several times, and the best options in my view are the hot chocolate and pain au chocolat. It can be rather busy at peak times and on weekends though, so perhaps try booking ahead(not actually sure if this is possible though).

Very pleasant today, not too many people, staff always courteous with a lovely smile . All was yummy … pastry on quiche thin, plenty of bacon in it, with egg of course… however, I dropped a star rating because it was only luke warm, my cuppacino cooled too quickly as it arrived way before the quiche and in my anticipation of getting pic altogether for this app Hazelnut macaron delightful, melt in the mouth!

Terrible service — no ice cream on the waffle not a glass of water people waiting to get their orders. Chocolat is average and place is cold Place to be avoided

You can’t get out of Sydney without going to this place. You gotta try the signature Choco drink. Of course, there’s other Lindt Cafes in other parts of the world but hey wouldn’t you wanna taste one from down under? I bet you should!

The Lindt Café is open once again after the terrible tragedy that occurred in December of 2014. We came in on their second day after reopening and it was wonderful to see the patronage of customers and the return of staff that had been working there on that fateful day. Although it was crowded and busy, they handled things fairly well. We received our drinks quite quickly, and they were very apologetic that the food was talking longer. We were kept well updated though. They were also kind enough to bring us little chocolates and hand made truffles while we lined up. My mocha was perfect and the ham and cheese croissant was excellent comfort food after a long morning on my feet. It’s good to see everything back to normal, with the only reminder of that day being two brass plaques on the inside of the doorway remembering the two poor souls we lost.

Lindt chocolate lovers heaven. Every wall is awash with those delectable chocolate balls. I had a salted caramel hot chocolate and I’m so glad I did. I have never had a hot chocolate as tasty as this, imagine drinking melted caramel Lindt balls in frothy milk. Pure heaven. Of course I couldn’t leave without buying a selection of different flavoured chocolates(wish I’d bought more now).

We had the dessert platter for two, taking advantage of the Groupon promotion a friend had gotten previously. They served two macarons, brownies, a lava cake and a scoop of vanilla ice cream sitting on shaved chocolates. It also comes with two hot beverages — for which we ordered a mocha hot choc and a pot of peppermint tea. The sweets and drinks were good as you’d expect from Lindt. But it did take us way too long to get a table and as we were waiting and dining, the queue got longer. Wait staff were overwhelmed by the number of people waiting to be served and were working quite inefficiently. I’m not sure if it’s due to the weekend rush or due to the Groupon promo but wait time definitely left much to be desired. Overall, pretty average.

Great place for lunch or a hot chocoloate/coffee or even just a sweet macaroon fix. The place is really cute, with lotsa different chocolates available for purchase. I have yet to try the hot chocolate but the chai latte is yummy and the macaroons are devine! Salted caramel, yummo! Been here once for lunch because my friend said they do great lunch specials for $ 13 with a drink, but I guess they stopped. Had the quiche which was good. Can’t go wrong here for drinks or dessert.

Being from the States, I have realized that there are no Lindt cafes. In fact, Lindt is abundant in the States but I don’t believe is very popular. There are stores of course. but I don’t know anybody who likes it that much. When I stepped into this place. and was amazed. Now my question now is. why do they NOT make macaroons anywhere else in the world. or yummy drinks? I definitely have stopped by here for a bite as I lived in the area at the time… definitely one of my favorite shops. as I hate Ghiradelli ones. So yucky and oversweet…

Sydney’s flagship establishment for Lindt Chocolate. Their chocolate appreciation evenings are also quite interesting. It is great to come here after spending a couple of hours studying at the nearby state library for some lunch. Any of their sandwiches and panini’s(especially the smoked salmon one’s) with a milk iced chocolate is just divine. Grab one of the cream coloured booths inside, and full table service is enjoyed. Their chocolate is quite thick and rich, so remember to also ask for some water. It would be suicide otherwise, and you will be left with a strong chocolate aftertaste in your mouth. The pick and mix is dangerous; trust me you will be better off heading to Coles to buy a packet of their chocolates, and it will be kinder on your hip pocket. The best time to visit this establishment is in the early morning to have a milk hot chocolate which is the equivalent of two hot chocolate drinks, and represents good value for money. Definitely in a great and trendy locale in Martin Place. Even the corporate financial and nearby legal types vouch for this establishment and have their occasional coffee meetings here. Sit inside where you can.

How can you walk past a chocolate café and not enter — especially when it has been created by one of the finest chocolate makers out there. OK, maybe most people can but not me, even if it was an early Wednesday morning. The Lindt café in St Martins place has a lot of charm about it. The old building, tall ceilings, bar stools, high counter tops give it the ambiance of a minimalist 1940’s city café. The chocolate isn’t cheaper but they do have specials — like fill a tin with these latte flavoured Lindt bits for $ 13. Good value if you like coffee flavoured chocolate. I like the fact that there is plenty of space in here. There are also a lot of tables outside but as we’re in the middle of the city and the interior is so lovely I’d opt for a table indoors. If you don’t want to dive straight into the cocoa land there are salads and other fine savoury dishes to fill the tum. But really you don’t go there for the meat — it’s the pud we’re after. Mocha anyone?
