This is an interesting place to visit. It’s right at the edge of the Kingston Art Precinct and easy to find. Entry is free, which is surprising. On the top level (up two short flights of stairs or take the lift) you can look down on the fabulous craftsman at work in the HotBox studio. The red hot molten glass waits in the furnaces and the glass forms into shapes as you watch. Visitors are encouraged to have a go too — it’s great. There’s a gallery with items for sale and a café on site.

A nice way to spend half an hour. You can take a tour of the glassworks or just watch the glass makers at work in the workshop below the viewing area. There are some pretty items on sale in the shop too.
The glassworks are right next to the Old Bus Depot Markets so you can join a visit to both for a good morning or arvo combo.
