The Hub House

So I really want to love the Hub House. We started going when the doors originally opened but since then in my opinion things have gone down hill.
Breakfasts are always great, I can’t fault them but dinner is another story. Recently two of us visited for dinner, two of the same burgers were ordered. It was a quiet Sunday night. Two different burgers come out that were not ordered. Accidents happen, I get it, I’m reasonable.
My burger was as ordered but the other was incorrect. By the time the correct one came, I had two options, eat mine so it didn’t go cold or wait and have it go cold. No offer to take both and serve us together. The waitress was more interested in chatting up some bloke outside as she paraded around in the shortest shorts I have ever seen.
At the counter, no acknowledgment of the screw up, no apology or attempt to make it right.
Probably won’t visit the Hub House again, there are better alternatives around.

Massive servings and the food is delicious. Recommend the chicken and street corn. A bit pricey.

An excellent breakfast spot in Dulwich Hill. The bacon and egg roll with hit sauce is amazing (even with a $ 12 price tag). The coffee is also above average.
This morning I had the waffles ‘gone bananas’ and apart from hating myself afterwards, would rate them highly.
My partner ordered the bacon and egg roll which I thought was great, however she ordered the egg runny and received it well done.

Good food, good coffee, great service. All round great place to catch up with some friends for breakfast, lunch or a quick coffee

Have been here three times now since it opened and have thoroughly enjoyed the standard of service, the food and the atmosphere.
It’s a really unique restaurant situated in an area not known for new restaurants.
I’d suggest the House Beef Burger with some of the best fries I’ve had in Australia. Oh and get a side helping of their delicious Hickory Smoked BBQ sauce.
