Tried this place on a busy week night, good comes out hot and fast. Lots of good recommendations from the service staff but the stand out was the blood sausage. Was very tasty also try the cornbread and Chorizo with Apple. So many good things on the menu will be back.

So far the best Colombian food that I tried in Sydney, a little bit expensive but the service is good and the food is big enough for any person.

Had the banquet as we were with a group and it is just easier that way. The food was below average. There was a really odd Niçoise salad with tinned tuna on it. Basically I recommend giving this place a kiss and try one of Newtown’s many other establishments.

We saw the bad reviews on Unilocal but decided to check it out anyway because it was Good Friday and many shops were closed. The Unilocal reviews were not far off the mark. The food was pretty average. We had the paella and mixed tapas platter. The paella rice was alright but the beef was clearly over cooked. It was like chewing rubber. The tapas platter was alright but I would have liked the patatas bravas to be crunchier — it was soaked in oil and became soggy. The service was decent and the ambiance was good. It would have been a good place for cocktails or drinks and just some food on the sidelines. Their food outperforms many pub food I’ve had so maybe they should focus on their liquor offerings. The $ 10 lunch deals were good value for filling your belly but too bad the quality isn’t there yet.

I’d seen this place pop up after what used to be there so thought I would give it a go. The food was certainly below average. There was nothing with a wow and for the price and what we got served nothing would make me want to go back again.

Never heard of this place before and came here via Groupon… so it was a banquet menu. The place is pretty dim, so I didn’t take any photos. Service was great, no complaints about any of the waitresses as they were very attentive and food came out quickly. Unfortunately, that’s where the good stuff ends. Started with bread drizzled with olive oil and jamon, and another piece of bread with a tomato paste(bruschetta-like) and olives. Then we had capsicum stuffed with cheese and patatas bravas, meatballs, and salmon croquettes. The last two dishes were a pork belly and bread and flan. There were two jugs of sangria as well. The tomato paste tasted like it came out of a can… as did the olives. The best dishes were probably the capsicum with cheese and patatas bravas. The meatballs were overcooked, and the salmon croquettes didn’t have much taste. The sangria was also just OK. The absolute worst dish was the pork belly and bread. I don’t think they seasoned this pork at all because it just tasted like bland fat. Same goes for the bread, it was like eating cardboard. The flan was OK, but nothing to write home about.

We ate there on the night of the AFL grand final after some bar hopping along King street. The service is friendly and attentive. Tapas dishes are extensive with various styles of chorizo, prawns, seafood and vegetables. Portions are reasonably big. We ordered some Iberico ham, cheese and blood sausage, garlic prawns and grilled sardines. More than enough for the two of us. Only criticism was the extremely limited wine menu. Only 5 reds, one of which was unavailable. No Rioja ! Overall, it was an enjoyable meal and I would recommend it if you are looking for Spanish influenced food in Newtown.

While I generally believe that there is a dearth of Latin American restaurants and that there should be more, this particular establishment does nothing for the reputation of the cuisine and should be removed as quickly as possible. The menu is super limited, the food is not very good and the space is just very dark and plane. Avoid unless you are desperate for oily, salty paella.

This used to be Madame Fling-Flong’s cocktail bar. Shame, I miss that place. It’s now a tapas bar, with a mix of Spanish and South American food. The menu of tapas is large and they cover lots of styles of food. And the portions are pretty big; you don’t need to order 3 or 4 dishes per person, more like 2. We had olives(nice), grilled sardines(big, nicely seasoned, a bit overcooked), cheese-stuffed capsicum(very nice, but cold, I think it was meant to be this way), and chorizo(tasty and lots of it). Bread was fairly average, just bread rolls really. They’ve kept the atmosphere dim and chilled. Service was very attentive and quick; they kept our bottles of water topped up several times without us ever asking. Wine list was quite good, with a mix of Iberian styles plus Malbecs.
