Great coffee and great service. And the wait time? Fantastically fast and doesn’t cause a blip in the time to catch a nearby bus or train. For the locals it also doubles as a community place to meet up and find out what’s happening in the town square. With a nearby water play area and grass square it’s a popular spot for Mums and Bubs meetings. It does a roaring trade with local office workers needing a coffee to go. The only downside is that there isn’t a lot of seating for anyone hoping for a bit of a sit down in a group. The seating area is quite exposed to the elements.

Coffee. Great coffee. That basically says enough. You get what you come for and that’s perfect coffee. Served in a quick efficient manner. You can text in your order on the way and have it ready for collection. Make sure to grab their rewards card, usable at a series of other food locations. I can imagine the people living in the Cockburn central apartments probably cannot get enough. It would probably influence me living there… Go along some time — you’ll love the staff too.

My G fusion was very gingery but a good kick start in the morning! My partner said his coffee was decent. The raw balls look small but are super filling & jam packed. It is too much in some respects… Even for me a chocoholic.

I love all the choices that are available here for coffee — in addition to flavoured syrups and soy milk they also offer coconut milk and almond milk as an option. It’s a funky little place that might be easy to miss if you’re looking for a shopfront where the rest of the cafes, restaurants and convenience stores are — instead look for the big container that straight ahead of the train station entrance rather than along the street. For those that are public transport averse, this place would make you look forward to your trip to work!

The sun is shining, I’m relaxing on a beanbag lounge while washing down a delicious breaky biscuit with the smoothest chocolate mocha. Welcome to Mooba, where the daily grind seems a life away, despite the proximity and convenience of the freeway and train line. A slice of escapism in suburbia.

My name is Jenny B. and I endorse Thomas F’s review! He hits the nail on the head! From the slim pickings of Cockburn to the actual nice spot that exists South of the River, Thomas is spot on. Whether riding the train line or meeting a client for coffee, I recommend Mooba, especially if it isn’t a stuffy colleague. It’s nice to get out, sit amongst container creations and watch kids get their crazy on. The barista is straight sexy pin-up with tats and brews a mean iced coffee. Coupon in entertainment guide.

Consistently great coffee finally makes its’ way to Cockburn. This is a charming outdoor café based around a converted shipping container in the main square of Cockburn Central. It’s worth checking out — the barista is superfriendly and a total gun at kickass coffees. They have a good selection of cakes, too. If you’ve got kids and it’s a warm day, let them loose on the fountain in the park while you sit with a coffee and a book; once they’ve got their crazy out of their system, the café is selling jelly cups for $ 1. Or forget the kids and experience the awesomeness of coffee with a side dish of jelly. Through April(and possibly longer) Cockburn Central has chilled out local music happening in the café on fridays from 5 – 7 pm, which is well worth checking out and supporting in a part of the suburbs that can otherwise feel like a cultural desert. The only downside to this place is that in the afternoon the shade can disappear from the outdoor seating area, but there’s plenty of other shady spots to sit in the Cockburn Central square. In any case, decent coffee is far more important than self preservation, so don’t let that deter you. This place rules.
