Though many have subtle features that give them their own personality, most Dôme café’s are much of a muchness when it comes to their design. This one in particular is pretty generic; the indoor seating is very enclosed, so you feel as though you could potentially be anywhere. You’d only know it’s Claremont by the stuffy vibe emanating from many of the patrons; as sharply contrasted to other Dôme establishments, this is not the kind of café where you’d want to bring your kids along. If you do, expect plenty of sidewards glances and whispered bitchy comments. That being said, if you’ve got young ones with you for a day out in Claremont, you’re probably going to be on the receiving end of that kind of stuff anyway. Service and food is at the standard you’d expect for a chain café. A pretty unremarkable place to have a coffee.
