I went there today for breakfast with two friends. The coffee was wonderful and the food served as described on the menu. I stole a taste of my friends home made baked beans. The beans were nice and firm and the sauce with the right amount of spice and seasoning. But the big winner were the past poached eggs. Cooked to how we wanted them, not how the chef wanted to present them. I will be back.

This is my first review. I am only writing this so that other people don’t waste their time like I did. I will start with the only positive things I have to say: 1. It’s cheap 2. The coffee is great Now for the negatives: 1. This place feel like a daycare. I appreciate that they have tried to accommodate for young families but I think they have gone too far with that concept. Everywhere you turn there are toddlers running around, toys at your feet and screaming kids. I would suggest a dedicated play area for the young ones where they won’t bother the other patrons. 2. The seating arrangements mostly consist of large, communal tables or tiny little tables that you would expect to find in a preschool/daycare. This place doesn’t cater for small groups without children 3. The service was quite average and the staff were not very well dressed or presented. 4. The coffee took 30 minutes to arrive 5. The food took 60 minutes to arrive. I ordered a chicken and avocado on sourdough. The chicken was bbq chicken(probably from coles/woolies). It lacked flavour. The only seasoning I could taste was salt. I can’t fathom how it took them so long to bring out our coffee and food. The place wasn’t very busy and they had plenty of staff. Would I suggest this place? No. You could get coffee and food faster if you crossed the bridge and went to The Social or Bank Corner Café.

This place has all the ingredients for a great little café but it just didn’t pull through with the goods. The coffee was bitter and at least 10 mins after we ordered we were told the frypan ‘carked it’ so couldn’t have our bacon and egg rolls… Not sure how a frypan breaks but anyway. The staff were really sweet and the set up of the café was great, lots of different spaces to sit in. Would potentially give it another try if I was round, could have just been an off morning.
