Consistently TERRIBLE service. Workers are constantly more concerned with eating behind the counter than helping customers. The larger girl who sometimes decides to do some work once and a while(dark curly hair who I think is the owner’s daughter) completely cross contaminated several food containers. She cut the duck liver pâté(very tasty) then used the now meat covered knife to pick tomatoes out of a container to put on the plate, then used the knife to cut a cucumber… but didn’t bother to use a cutting board and instead cutting the cucumber like someone would cut the peel off an apple with a pocket knife. She couldn’t be bothered to wash the knife or get a cutting board out, pretty useless as a café worker. Sounds harsh but I worked in food service for a decade and she is going to give someone food poisoning if she hasn’t already. The dish is supposed to come with a side salad and when I asked where my salad was the waitress said that they didn’t have any more lettuce and even when it comes with lettuce that it is such a small amount that it really doesn’t make a difference. I call BS since you have full entrees consisting of salad so I highly doubt they were out of lettuce. I have had this dish on at least 7 other occasions and they came with quite large side salads. To top it all off the sliced tomatoes I was given were growing white mold in them… probably from the disgusting food prep practices. My waitress provided bread, as it comes with the dish…3 pieces of 2.5 inch thick baguette slices. SERIOUSLY??? Are you so lazy that you couldn’t cut the bread a few more times so that it was possible to take a bite from it? It really is a shame because the food is actually very tasty and the wines are pretty good but I wouldn’t recommend this place until the servers get their act together as the service is going to run the business into the ground, and possibly give someone food poisoning if they aren’t more careful.
