Japanese food. Really enjoy the warm green tea before the meal. the sushi, salmon are delicious and the price is reasonable. Udon is from 9 to 14 euros, good but not that«amazing» as you expect.

Firstly, I’d like to recommend the excellent Japanese food here to all of you. It’s wonderful and the best Udon Noodle I’ve ever had in my life. In addition, they offer Udon in such a huge bowl, allowing you to carouse the soup to the fullest. However, the 3-score review doesn’t come from no reason. As a tourist, I just wanted to borrow(obviously, I wouldn’t take it away with me) their cable for my iPhone to charge. I forgot my cable at the hostel this morning, which was my own fault admittedly. What one of the Japanese waitresses told me was that«it’s not possible». Originally I thought there might be some reasons or explanations for this inconvenience, while she just walked away, leaving me standing there blankly. This is not a good attitude to their customers.

I don’t consider the other Ishin restaurants as remarkable japanese cuisine but THIS ladies and gentlemen was probably their best idea: An udon restaurant. Their udon is just on point and the soup are great. Never thought I might found such a good place in an area which is focused on fooling tourists with crappy food. I can barely say how much I fricking like this place. So first of all the quality of the food: The noodles are as mentioned homemade. I had one with mentaiko and egg flowers(my broth was basically egg flower soup). It was very well seasoned and the texture of the noodles are amazing. As a fierce eater I really appreaciated their option to order the bowl in big size as well. Beyond their different udon dishes they also serve the usual Ishin menue. But go for the udon, really it’s fricking good.

Original and genuine. It was the best udon I’ve ever had. The salmon and spinach udon is close to perfection, the sake creamy sauce is a trip to heaven! They welcome you with a hot tea, and that’s perfect because of Berlin’s cold!

Udon Kobo Ishin ist das jüngste Mitglied in der Kette der Ishin-Filialen. Aktuell sind es also schon 6 Filialen. Bei Udon Kobo Ishin wird anders als in den anderen Ishin-Filialen, das Hauptaugenmerk auf die Udonsuppen gelegt. Der Sushiliebhaber bekommt hier zwar dennoch Sushi serviert, allerdings nicht an Sonntagen und Montagen. Die Udonsuppen bei Ishin sind geschmacklich absolut top, und haben mich und meine Freunde auch von der Portionsgröße her überzeugt. Ausserdem gibt es hier ein Dessert, das nicht in den anderen Ishin’s serviert wird. Hierbei handelt es sich um den Matcha-Pudding. Dieser war mir persönlich etwas zu stark gesüßt, sodass ich mir in Zukunft wieder den Mangopudding bestelle. Die Kellner sind hier nach meinem Gefühl etwas schneller als in den anderen Ishin-Filialen, was auch klasse ist. Die Einrichtung erhält ebenfalls einen Pluspunkt von mir, da hier wirklich eine schöné Atmosphäre aufkommt. Dies ist ebenso anders als in den anderen bereits von mir besuchten Ishin-Filialen. Bei den Öffnungszeiten sollte beachtet werden, dass das Team eine mehrstündige Mittagspause macht.

War wieder vor Ort, die Speisekarte immernoch sehr unübersichtlich dennoch gewöhnt man sich daran. Hate mir die Udon selber zusammengestellt und muss sagen, hatte noch keine bessere. Die Nudeln sehr geschmeidig, der Sud süffig und die Einlagen Lecker ! Das Toro Nigiri von bester Produktqualität ! Möchte hiermit 5 Sterne vergeben, da Essen Top und der Service auf Zack waren !!!

Die Udons bei Ishin sind einfach grossartig, ich kanns nicht anders sagen. Die Speisekarte enthaelt deutlich mehr Gerichte als in den anderen regulaeren«Ishins», die Udonsuppen sind einfach sehr lecker und man wird richtig satt(guckt euch die Fotos an). Es gibt wahlweise 200gr oder 400gr Nudeln zum gleichen Preis. Zu den Udons kann man kleine Besonderheiten bestellen wie zB ein weichgekochtes Ei das man dann mit dem Udon vermischt, superlecker — und genau so gibt es das auch in Japan. Die Sushi-Karte ist etwas reduziert, enthaelt aber alle wichtigen Klassiker, es gibt immer wieder besondere Angebote die im Laden beworben werden, zB Salmon Kimch Cey-Ro(Lachs mit Kimchi und Gemuese im Bambustopf), das war zB auch sehr lecker. Im Herbst und vorallem im Winter waermt eine heisse Udon richtig auf und passt einfach perfekt. Neben den Suppen gibt es dann noch Japanische Currys, die habe ich noch nicht probiert, aber bestimmt beim naechsten Mal :).

At first I was skeptical but it turned out that they had pretty good food. The broth of the kitsune udon was good and the noodles were huge but still good. The tonkatsu curry was also good though I didn’t want to drink the broth. The only downside is it took forever for the food to come but it didn’t disappoint.

Was für ein Abenteuer, als wir relativ neugierig zum Mittagessen ins Lokal stolperten. Zwar hatte ich durchaus schon einmal Udon-Nudeln gegessen, aber irgendwie waren seinerzeit die Schüsseln kleiner oder die Darreichungsform wesentlich europäischer … Nachdem wir uns in der durchaus gewöhnungsbedürftigen Karte orientiert und bestellt hatten, stand dann ein riesiger Teller der leckeren Nudel-Suppe auf dem Tisch — in meinem Fall mit Fisch und Jakobsmuscheln(14 Euro). Da saß ich dann mit weißem Hemd, den Stäbchen und dem Suppenlöffel! Noch rechtzeitig vor der Dekoration meiner Oberbekleidung mit diversen Suppenspritzern realisierte ich, dass es sich bei der vermeintlichen Serviette neben dem Teller um einen veritablen Oberkörper-Spritzschutz handelte, den man hinterm Hals verknotet. Das entspannte die Situation erheblich, da a) klar wurde, dass alle Gäste kleckergefährdet waren und b) nicht nur wir zu blöd, die Nudeln vermeintlich richtig zu essen … Es schmeckte auf jeden Fall herausragend gut und wir dankten der netten jungen Servicekraft noch nachträglich, dass sie uns von den«großen» Portionen abgeraten hatte, die es wahlweise gibt. Nach Mini-Abbildung in der Karte und dem Gedanken«Es ist ja nur Suppe» neigt man ja gern dazu, eine XL-Version zu bestellen. Nicht nötig, man wird gut satt!

I’m from Japan and I know how udon should taste like and how the texture should be. :P It tastes amazing! The udon was very very good and it is handmade. I wish if I found this place earlier. Highly recommended!

Ishin continue à tester d’autres formules que son business«cantine à sushis» de base ! Après le resto japonais traditionnel à proximité du Zoo, la nouvelle ouverture de 2015 près de Hackescher Markt est un resto spécialisé dans les Udon, ces grands bouillons de nouilles bien épaisses avec tofu, viande ou poisson, certains au curry. Comptez 7 à 15 euros environ le Udon, suivant la garniture. Vous avez deux tailles, petit ou grand, curieusement au même prix ! Franchement, à moins d’être un rugbyman de retour de match, le petit suffit, surtout si vous avez la vague intention d’aller compléter par un dessert, sur place ou ailleurs. Ou alors vous en prenez un grand(de la taille d’un saladier) pour deux, ce qui atténuerait un peu le côté chérot des prix pratiqués. Mon Udon aux oignons confits et bœuf était très bien, même si je né suis pas un fan de soupes en général(qu’elles soient japonaises ou pas). Déco zen agréable, c’est tout neuf, et encore peu fréquenté, peut-être aussi du fait que c’est bien caché dans une rue peu passante coincée entre Hackescher Markt et Karl-Liebknecht-Straße. Ça valait l’exploration, mais je retourne à mes sushis !

die Suppe mit Tofu war viel zu süß! ich schätze mal die haben salz mit Zucker verwechselt. Nachdem ich den Kellner daraufhin gewiesen habe, brachte er mir eine neue schale. als die neue Schale fertig zubereitet wurde, meinte der Kellner zu mir, ich müsste extra noch für diese zahlen. tollen dank!

das neuste Mitglied der Ishin Familie konzentriert sich ganz auf die japanischen Udon, die es hier in zahlreichen Varianten gibt. Sehr viel schicker als die anderen Ishin Restaurants kommt das Kobo Ishin daher, lichtdurchflutet, weiträumig und in guter Lage. Mittags sowie am Wochenende gibt es ein Menü mit einer Udonsuppe, zahlreichen Beilagen, einem Salat und einem Getränk. Die Udon sind ganz große Klasse hier, vorallem die Auswahl überzeugt. Unbedingt probieren!

3.5 A great option for house-made udon with juicy, thick, atsuage tofu. The establishment has a proprietary udon recipe that lends it’s noodles to a nice toothy udon texture. The portions are generous and the udon toppings are also generous. The kitsune udon was zested nicely with fresh yuzu peel which provided a nice touch.

Für Freunde japanischer Udons einen Besuch wert. Das Lokal ist stilvoll eingerichtet und bietet schwerpunktmäßig leckere Udons(Nudelsuppen), mit hausgemachten Nudeln. Die Zutaten und die Suppe ist sehr fein geschmacklich abgestimmt und wird in schönem Geschirr serviert. Personal ist typisch japanisch, dezent und entgegenkommend.
