St. Oberholz

Positiv ist einzig das Ambiente. Die Qualität der Drinks kann nicht mit den überhöhten Preisen mithalten. Hausgemachte Limo schmeckt nach langweiligem Zuckerwasser.

Das St. Oberholz kennen wir mittlerweile wohl alle. Ein Café/​Büro mit knarziger Holztreppe.
Stets brechend voll mit MacBooks und deren stolzen Besitzern die ihre Start Ups aufbauen. Man spricht hier überwiegend Englisch. Auch als Deutscher ;)
Der absolute working hot spot so zentral am Rosenthaler, wie es zentraler garnicht geht.
Wusstet ihr aber auch, dass es über dem Café noch die Option gibt, zu bezahlen um zu arbeiten? Ich nicht. Die Co-​Working Spaces über dem Café sind Apartments die umgebaut wurden, typische Altbauten, die eine schöné Arbeitsatmosphäre schaffen. Natürlich mit Küche und Spinds. und viel leiser als im Café ;) Ab und zu finden hier auch Events statt.
Aber damit nicht genug: Über den Co Working Spaces befinden sich Apartments! Du kannst dich als Gast also im St. Oberholz einmieten und brauchst das Gebäude bis zur Abreise theoretisch nicht verlassen.
Cool.

Disclaimer: ich bin schon mit allen erdenklichen Vorurteilen ins St. Oberholz

Das St. Oberholz ist ganz eindeutig mein absolutes Lieblingscafe im Rosenthaler Kiez.
Die Stimmung ist wahnsinnig kReAtIv. Fast an jedem Tisch sitzen Leute einzeln oder auch in Gruppen vor ihrem Apple Ma book odr einem anderen Laptop und arbeiten oder diskutieren neue Projekte. Eine Treffpunkt für Startups aus ganz Deutschland würde ich sagen.
Abends so etwa ab 22.00 Uhr legt ein DJ Vinyl Records im Erdgeschoss auf.
Heiße Getränke gibt es übrigens nur bis ca. 22.30, da dann die Espressomaschine gereinigt wird. Aber dann ist ja auch «Bar zeut» ;-))
Preislich: Café Latte 3,40 Euro, Espresso 1,80
Definitiv einen Besuch wert …

Internet is much more reliable than elsewhere in Berlin, unless you arrive during peak hours where it’s slowed a bit.
Annoying and pretentious hipster graphics, with gorgeous wooden floors.
It’s a toss up whether staff will be kind or dismissive and condescending. A former worker told me the staff are overworked and underpaid.
Loud music in the evenings, maybe to deter internetting.
Check out «Rizo» across the street for better coffee and service and still good internet.

Wir waren am späteren Samstag Abend auf ein Bier im St. Oberholz.
Uns hat der Laden nicht überzeugt.
Zunächst haben wir längere Zeit an der Theke gewartet, bis wir überhaupt beachtet wurden. Nach der umfangreichen Bestellung von drei Getränken, dauerte es auch einige Zeit. Das Weizenbier kam in einem normalen Bierglas — es wären gerade keine anderen Gläser da.
Als wir nur 0,20 € Trinkgeld gaben, bedankte sich der Kellner für das ‘fette Trinkgeld’. Sorry, das geht gar nicht.
Ein Stern für die gute Lage, ein Stern für die coolen alten Schiedsrichter-​Stühle an der Torstraße.

It is nice to walk into an english speaking coffee shop in the heart of Berlin, but do not expect an american service. Just like most places in town, this is yet another cash only spot, despite the fact that it is a two storey coffee shop on one of Berlin’s most central squares.
So I take out my bag of coins, a bit embarrassed, and stack three small piles of mostly yellow coins to make 3,20 euros and pay for my hot chocolate. The (american) waiter who took my order nicely says «you see, we re doing a favour!»
I drop off my bag and clothes on a near by stool and return to collect my drink. The waiter now seems annoyed and tells me that the count is not right. So I ask him how much is missing. He simply drops the coins on the counter and says «you count it, that’s not my job».
I was very upset. I counted again, 10 cents were missing, I added them and told him «by the way, it is your job to count my money» — to which he responded «don’t tell me what my job is».
Sorry, not sorry. This is no way to treat a customer.

I just love this place. I always come here to work and chill in my laptop. Food is pretty good but the coffee is where it’s at here. So good.

Kult Status in Berlin Mitte und eine echte Institution am Rosenthaler Platz. Klar sind die Mac Books dominierend, jedoch kann man auch einfach gemütlich einen Kaffee trinken und dazu eines der Croissants geniessen, die wirklich lecker sind… Empfehlenswert für ein schnelles, unkompliziertes Frühstück.

Als ich zufällig da war, sagte mir jemand, dass es der Treffpunkt sei und viele hier wegen WLAN herkommen. So ganz reizte mich die Vorstellung jedoch nicht.
Die Getränkeauswahl hatte mich nicht so sehr überzeugt, aber war durchaus ok. Leider fand ich im Obergeschoss die Bänke (oder was das war) eher unbequem.
Ansonsten fand ich es erstaunlich wie ruhig es doch insgesamt war (im Verhältnis zu anderen Orten). Es lief nette Musik und man konnte sich gut unterhalten.

Great place to work and meet up with friends. St. Oberholz is always buzzing and crowded with people armed with laptops. Free wifi and co-​working space is the hottest thing it seems, and most of us are there for at least half a day. Sometimes it is hard to find a seat, unless you are willing to share a table. The coffee and sweet there are just ok, and a little bit pricey, but then we are not really there for the drinks and food. Oh, wait, should we be? Nah, get back to work y’all, and stop browsing Unilocal !! (head down* click* click* tap* tap* tap*)

Great, international hipster atmosphere. Ideal for working. You should order a thing or two of their great drinks and food, but nobody really bothers if you don’t order anything else for a couple of hours and just work. Free wifi. Prices a bit on the higher end. They also have nice outdoor seating for sunny days. If you’re alone and don’t mind sitting at a table with others, you’ll always find space. For groups it might be hard. Also it can get really hot up on the second floor!

Un café hipster où j’ai passé énormément de temps à travailler lors de mon séjour à Berlin :) Au final l’endroit ressemble à un café /​BU où tout le monde peux venir s’installer avec son ordinateur, boire un verre et manger.
L’espace est bien agencé, et j’y ai toujours trouvé de la place malgré l’affluence.
N’hésitez pas à vous installer dans la salle du haut qui propose une vue sympa sur la Rosenthaler Platz, maiiiis surtout des banquettes sofa super confortable. Le seul point négatif qui me vient à l’esprit est: l’absence de clim /​ventilateur… Pendant la période de «grande» chaleur, c’était difficilement supportable.

Sehr hipster, jedoch der beste Chai Tee in Berlin. Die Mischung ist hausgemacht. Ein guter Ort um Freunde zu treffen, oder alleine stundenlang am Laptop zu sitzen.

So much MacBook.
St. Oberholz is the café and workspace for entrepreneurs who have startups so cool that you will probably never undertand their business model, or what the startup even does (Nor will the market, the consumers or the investors, so new businesses are started all the time).
It’s busy, but a great place to network and meet people. If you like to work in busy surroundings, this is your spot. The prices are high compared to the quality, but the staff is super friendly and fun, even when it’s busy as hell.

One of my new faves! Good coffee, fantastic bagels (I had the avocado one), friendly baristas, a low key feel, and a great work environment. Everybody is on their laptop working on something, it’s not overly loud so you can concentrate and they have power outlets everywhere. The perfect place to get some work done. The only shortcomings are that they don’t take cards, it’s pretty crowded and they really need an AC.

Okay coffee – my soy flat white was remarkably bitter – and a decent lox bagel sandwich, albeit a little light on the sprouts. St Oberholz gets ⁴⁄₅ mostly for the staff, who were friendly and obliging of our very very poor German, and its super convenient location. Plus, lots of cuties – at least, from what I could see over the laptop screens… ;-)

I’ve been at many different times of the day, and it’s always a good place to work with your laptop and have a coffee, sandwich, or beer. Music gets loud enough at night that it’s not an ideal place to concentrate, but it’s still not too loud. Never had a problem finding a seat or a power outlet; the servers are friendly and speak English. Seems to be a nice mix of freelancers and casual coffee drinkers, with plenty of room for both (as well as outdoor seating when the weather is good).

How does this place have a low rating? Not sure but I know the place is great. The service was great and the drinks were amazing. Great conversations with the bar tender. Music was also great. Can’t wait To come back.

Okay let’s break it down:
Free wifi. yay. Good place to do work, upstairs or downstairs.
The coffee: completely terrible (really, like, notably terrible).
The service: devoid of enthusiasm, friendliness, or life.
The food: generally good
The bottom line: okay place to shack up if you need to plug into your laptop and ignore reality for a while. However, expect terrible coffee and unpleasant service. It’s always something of a mystery to me why a café that has gone to all effort of renting a building, putting in chairs and hiring staff, can’t follow that up with some decent coffee. Oh well. If you want to get some decent coffee head to The Barn. Or Kaschk. Or Distrikt Coffee. However if you want to be an anti-​social fuck on a laptop then head to St Oberholz.
Master-​Level Hot Tip — use the wifi for free but don’t buy anything !

Un peu déçue par cet endroit. Je m’attendais a quelque chose de vraiment sympa ou il était possible de se poser un moment pour travailler sur son ordinateur.
Au final, il n’y avait pas un centimètre carré de table libre, l’endroit était incroyablement bondé. Le service était sans plus. Le café n’était pas mauvais, j’ai apprécié le fait qu’ils aient pu faire un caffe Latte au lait de soja.
Au final, pas grand chose a dire sur l’endroit, j’y ai bu mon café en vitesse, et je né reviendrais probablement pas, beaucoup trop de monde à mon gout.

Office or a café?
Apple, Apple, Apple, click, click, click… From time to time, they take a sip of their macchiato, a quick glimpse at who’s entering the room while chatting over face time. The secret ingredient of this corner plot is obvious — Wireless Internet, a great place to be seen and ‘keep me up’ caffeine. This is no new concept in Berlin but somehow this one has become the preferred hotspot for the virtual junkie, the tech C.E.O and the skinny jeaned crowd.
But don’t worry, pixel lovers aren’t the only ones welcome here. Other things make St. Oberholz a great place to visit. For example, lots of interesting, creative and international people frequent the café, located in trendmeister Rosenthaler Platz. So it wouldn’t be out of the ordinary if the rake-​thin guy next to you is the creative one behind a platinum selling electro band, and if you look closer the gonzo guy buying a fresh-​made peppermint tea could be the author of a popular controversial coming-​of-​age novel. Or maybe they are just ‘normal’ like me? In any case ‘buzzing’ is the word.

Great café for homework — the upstairs is perfect! Come early though if you want a table otherwise it gets packed. Downstairs isn’t bad but it’s louder and with the two doors, it gets a bit drafty.
The teas here are really good but a bit pricey (€ 2.90) for small cup. Croissants are delicious and all their little salads and juices look good, too.
English speaking staff which is nice if its early and my German speaking self doesn’t want to come out yet. Will have to come get a drink sometime here!

Ich hatte mich hier mit ein paar Freunden zum brunchen getroffen. Die meisten Plätze waren belegt, die die es nicht waren, waren noch schmutzig. Ich fand die Auswahl an Getränken gut, doch fand ich die Auswahl an Speisen nicht so groß und außerdem fand ich sie zu überteuert. Die ganze Zeit kam niemand vorbei um das Geschirr von den vorherigen Gästen wegzuräumen. Freundlich fand ich den Service auch nicht. Im Café kann man Bücher kaufen, ich glaube die wurden vom Besitzer geschrieben. Ich hab mir gedacht das er mal ein Buch über schlechten Service und schmutzige Cafes schreiben sollte, da er damit ja wohl mehr Erfahrung hat.

Ich war schon mehrmals dort, besonders gefällt mir am Café St. Oberholz das man sich lange völlig unbehelligt und zwanglos in Sachen regelmäßiger Bestellung zum arbeiten am Laptop darin aufhalten kann, was allerdings nur mit Kopfhörer zu empfehlen ist, um die Konzentration vor den zahlreichen Umgebungsgeräuschen zu schützen, die Einrichtung und Beleuchtung ist dezent, aber dennoch trotz teils einfacher Stühle gemütlich, dann sagt es mir sehr zu, dass es rauchfrei ist, dafür akzeptiere ich gern die höheren Getränkepreise. Die beiden Hochsitze vor dem Café mit Ausblick auf den Rosenthaler Platz, ehemalige Schiedsrichtersitze beim Tennis, haben ebenfalls einen Stein im Brett bei mir, die ich sicher noch regelmäßig einnehmen werde.

I was here for some cocktails at the end of the day. The interior is really nice but the cocktails are just ok. Nothing special but nothing bad either. The prices are a bit too high for this poor barkeeper performance and yeah… I guess is not my thing. This might be a nicer spot during daytime.

Jahrelang vorbeigefahren und gedacht: Mensch, da musst du doch mal rein. Also ab an die Bar, Bier bestellt, in die Ecke gesetzt und erstmal umgeschaut. Von außen sieht es deutlich uriger und gemütlicher aus, als es letztendlich ist. Eine Mischung aus Kaffeehaus und Hipstertreffpunkt. Jeder zweite Tisch ist besetzt mit einem Macbook und seinem Besitzer, Hohe Decken, imposante Holztreppe, american Diner Tische, sparsame Farbauswahl. Aus der Einrichtung werde ich nicht richtig schlau.
Die Preise sind nicht ganz ohne, 3,50 für ein 0,5l Bier vom Fass. Aber auch das war letztenendes nicht umwerfend sondern nur ok. Die Cocktails gibt es zwischen 7,50 — 9,50 €.
Fazit: Wenn man in der Nähe ist, kann man hier sicherlich einen Kaffee oder ein Bier trinken. Extra hinfahren würde ich nicht nochmal.

Un endroit super sympa pour travailler pendant la semaine ! Le café y est super bon. C’est ouvert, en plus, jusqu’à 2h du mat’, ce qui donne la possibilité de travailler tranquillement pendant la nuit.

De passage a Berlin. J’ai découvert cet endroit par hasard en sortant de mon appartement un soir.
Le lieu est super sympa! La deco, la musique avec le Dj passant de la bonne électro. Ambiance 100% berlinoise.
Les cocktails sont délicieux et on peut aussi y manger (aucun commentaire car je n’ai pas testé).
J’ai pu prendre un petit déjeuner et franchement entre le jus d’orange frais, le délicieux cappuccino et sa mousse parfaite, le bagel ou mon délicieux crumble aux pommes je savais plus quoi choisir !(du fait maison au passage)
Je recommande sans hésiter ! Bis bald !

3 Sterne sind für mich ein gute Bewertung. Insgesamt ist das St. Oberholz ein wirklich nettes und vorallem großes Restaurant direkt am Rosenthaler. Es gibt viele Stühle und Tische, die so aussehen, als seien diese schnell zusammengewürfelt worden, aber das verleiht irgendwie auch gleich wieder ein bisschen Flair. Auch aufgrund der Bemalung an der Wand könnte man denken, dass man sich gerade in einer Skihütte befindet, wenn nicht aus dem Fenster geschaut wird. Es stören aber die Verteilersteckdosen, welche super als Stolperfallen dienen und die die vielen leuchtenden Äpfel auf den Tischen.
Da im Restaurant selfservice ist, bestellt man an der großen Theke, in der auch allerlei Gebäck ausgestellt wird. Über die Qualität davon kann ich aber nichts sagen, da ich davon nichts bestellte.
Was mich aber störte war, dass die Kaffeemaschine bereits sehr früh ausgeschaltet wurde und es so keinen Kaffee mehr gab.
Daher insgesamt nur 3 von 5 aber das ist trotzdem noch definitiv eine Weiterempfehlung!

I was a regular here during my time as a student. It was one of my favorite cafes to «get work done» (which was probably about half the time just me messing around on my laptop… anyway, I digress). The café has a very international/​hipster vibe going on. You will guaranteed see a lot of people sitting alone and hanging out with their Apple products. If you’re looking for a place to be alone with other people, this place is it. It wouldn’t be my first choice as a venue to meet up with a friend as there are more friendly and less technology-​filled places to go to.
It is quite expensive, but I guess I use the «free» wifi to justify the prices to myself. At least they have a bar so if your work gets annoying, you can just get a cocktail =D. The espresso drinks are decent, as is the food.
My best tip would be to come here during the summer. It is absolutely delightful to be at St Oberholz when it’s warm out, the sun is shining, and they have the big glass windows open.

Ein schönes Café in Mitte. Der Kaffee ist ok. Die Bagel etc. für Berliner Verhältnisse mit durchschnittlich 5 € etwas teurer als wo anders.
Die Atmosphäre ist gemütlich und schön. Besonders gefallen mir die hohen Decken und die Galerie. Schade finde ich, dass sie bei dem «Hipsterimage», den sie pflegen, keinen guten Filterkaffee anbieten und auch kein Geschmackssirup für Latte haben (Nachfrage besteht; wo ist das Angebot?:D)
Die Tatsache, dass es hier freien WLan gibt, kommt sehr gelegen, wenn man «lernen» oder an seinem ober-​innovativen krassen Startup arbeiten möchte, oder einfach nur auf Facebook o.Ä. verweilen und dabei wichtig aussehen möchte (vorzugsweise mit einem Mac, bei dem das Applezeichen demonstrativ zugeklebt ist). Für Gruppenarbeit bietet sich die Lokalität besonders gut an, da es auch sehr große Tische gibt!

Dieses Café hatte mal einen regelrechten Kultstatus und war bei Gowalla (wer kennt es noch?) mit einem eigenen Check-​In-​Badge vertreten.
Seitdem hat sich hier eigentlich nicht viel verändert. Die MacBooks dominieren die Tischdeko, die verlängerten Dreifachsteckdosen bilden immer noch Stolperfallen und das Mobiliar erinnert mich stark an meine Wehrdienstzeit bei der Bundeswehr.
Das sagt auch schon viel über den Komfort im St. Oberholz aus. Form follows function ist eigentlich ein ehrbarer Grundsatz aber man sollte dann doch keine Abstriche bei der Polsterung machen. Langes Sitzen ist auf den Stühlen nicht möglich. Zumindest bei mir nicht, denn ich habe es sehr gerne etwas bequemer. Das kann man dann auf den vielen Sofas haben.
Ein gemütlicher Ort ist das St. Oberholz nivht nur wegen des Mobiliars nicht. Auch die Atmosphäre ist anstrengend. Innen arbeiten fast alle angestrengt über ihren Laptops und werden von Musik beschallt und außen erstickt der Verkehrslärm jegliche Kommunikation.
Und um einen ausgiebigen Kaffeeklatsch durchzuführen muss man schon einen gut gefüllten Geldbeutel haben. Die Preise im St. Oberholz sind sehr weit oben angesiedelt. Das betrifft nicht nur Kaffee und Gebäck sondern auch die Hipsterbrause. Die selbstgemachten Naschereien und die stets freundliche Bedienung sind auch die beiden Highlights unseres Besuches hier.
A pro pos Hipster: Die Konzentration dieser Spezies ist hier nicht mehr so hoch wie befürchtet. Das St. Oberholz ist als Café im Mainstream angekommen.

Sankt Oberholz am Rosenthaler…
Wäre ich nicht in Berlin, kämen mir Bilder von Almen und Berghütten, Kühen und Gipfelkreuzen in den Sinn. Sogleich aber ruft mich das Schild am Eingang zur Räson: Das Leben sei kein Ponyhof!
Seit Jahren also mal wieder ins St Oberholz, weil es sich als Treffpunkt ja wirklich gut eignet und auch weil ich die Sonnenplätze zur Rosenthaler Strase hin mag, um mir die Sonne auf die Nase scheinen und die Menschen und all den Verkehr an mir vorbeiziehen zu lassen. Dazu ein Apéritif, ein Spritz etwa, wie er hier serviert wird — passt!
Aber ach, die Plätze sind begehrt und drinnen ist es mir einfach zu laut, zu wuselig. Die Preise gesalzen, das Essen leider nicht verlässlich lecker. Der Kaffee hingegen ist meist ok und im Herbst einen frischen Minztee — läuft! Schlussendlich komm ich hier des Gegenübers wegen hin. Und der Atmo. Und des Schauens wegen her und nicht wegen Essen und trinken.

Die Bewertung hängt hier stark davon ab, für was man gekommen ist. Gelegen an einer vielbefahrenen Kreuzung, ist dies meiner Meinung nicht der ideale Ort, gemütlich zu zweit einen Kaffee trinken zu gehen.
Gehört man allerdings zu dem Teil der Bevölkerung, der freiberuflich/​von Zuhause arbeitet, ist das ein recht idealer Ort, der Baustelle vor der Haustür oder dem dritten Putzen des Kühlschranks zu entgehen und stattdessen unter Menschen alleine mit seinem Laptop zu arbeiten.
Für letzteren Fall vergebe ich gerne vier Sterne, da die Musik meist genau richtig, das Essensangebot okay ist, und keiner verjagt wird, der sich den ganzen Tag an einem einzigen Cappuccino festhält. Abzüge gibts für die eher unfreundliche Bedienung und Tische, die man gerne mal selbst putzen darf. Dafür ist das WLAN ausreichend schnell und ich bin hier sehr produktiv.

Self service here, so nothing mind blowing (food and drinks are average quality)…but the location is great right at the vivid rosenthaler Platz… the german «bauer» wisdom lines written on the walls, would put a smile on your face, when you take a break from online working on your electronic device…

Ebenso wie einige Vorredner wollte ich, nachdem ich schon hunderte mal dran vorbeigelaufen bin, auch mal auf einen Café ins St. Oberholz um mir meine eigene Meinung zu bilden. Sprüche wie «ohne Macbook lassen die dich da nicht rein» und «das ist der Mitte Hipster Inkubator» hatten mich bisher davon abgehalten :-D
Unglaubliche 6,20 € für einen Latte und ein Käsecroissant habe ich bezahlt und saß dann an einem nicht gewischten schmutzigen Tisch. Das ist für mein Empfinden to much. Eher der Charme einer Unimensa.

— wer free Wifi benötigt ist hier richtig aufgehoben, Steckdosen gibt es für den Digitalen Nomaden an jeder Ecke.

Ich denke nicht das ich wiederkommen werde. Wifi brauche ich nicht und nen leckeren Latte zu einem vernünftigen Kurs bekomme ich auch 100m weiter.

Warum sitzen hier alle an Ihren Laptops ?
Naja, Location perfekt und zentral. Nette Bar und sehr freundliches Personal runden das gute Bild ab. Die Musik ist so dezent, dass man sich gut unterhalten kann.

Had a cappuccino and the homemade Shoko-​kirsch Chili cake. It was amazing… sweet and chocolatey with a spicy chili aftertaste… whoever made that cake is a wild genius.
Hard to find a place to sit though, very busy!

Eigentlich habe ich mich bisher immer erfolgreich wehren können, wenn es darum ging das St. Oberholz für einen Mittagssnack aufzusuchen, da mich persönlich weder der Miitehipster-​Touripilger-​Nap, das erleuchtete Apfelkopf-​Publikum, noch die befahrene Autobahnraststättenaussicht gereizt hat.
So richtig erfolgreich war ich allerdings dabei nicht immer und musste mich zweimal der demokratischen Entscheidung beugen, bei welcher ich zumindest einmal unglaublicherweise und unerwartet gerettet wurde!
Dankbar wurden meine Zweifel erhört und noch vor der Bestellaufgabe am Tresen breitete sich ein widerlich-​verwester, Essig-​lastig-​durchdringender und beißender Geruch aus, der sogar die anderen, weggebeamten WLAN-​User naserümpfend den Platz weichen ließ. Hallelujah-​summend verließ ich das Oberholz und hoffte der Gral wäre für immerl an mir vorbeigegangen… vonwegen! Hoffen und harren… und so…
Neulich bei einem zweiten Besuch bestellte ich einen Nusskuchen und einen Sojalatte in der stillen Hoffnung eines Besseren überzeugt zu werden. Leider kam der Kaffee absolut verwässert und verbrannt daher, wohingegen der Kuchen so völlig vertrocknet war, dass sich sogar das verhärtete Buttercreme-​Pralinen-​Frosting beim Transport zum Platz davon verabschiedete. Ce café est génial. Tout simplement.
Il y a toujours de la place, du wifi gratuit, des boissons top et un super service.
C’est l’endroit rêvé pour venir travailler en groupe grâce aux grandes tables spéciales ordinateur portable, pour trainer à l’aise, s’arrêter en pleine séance shopping, regarder la pluie tomber… La deco minimaliste est hyper sympa.
C’est d’autant plus facile de rester longtemps que les prix sont raisonnables et que la nourriture est aussi excellente.

Cuando estes por el area y necesites trabajar un poco no dudes en venir a este lugar, si bien es cierto que los precios son un poco elevados, lo compensa con el tiempo que puedes utilizar para tener una buena platica con tus amigos, ademas que puedes tener wifi gratis :)

We came here just to have dessert and hang out. I liked the vibe of the place but mostly I like the fact that lots of cafés in Berlin serve alcoholic beverages and are therefore more like bars at night. And so unlike NY, you can actually go to places like these after dark, have a glass of wine, and quietly read a book. I didn’t get to check out the food selection too much but I did have a slice of chocolate cake that had dark cherries and hot pepper and the combination was awesome! If I lived in Berlin if definitely be hanging out at these places.

— Location innen gemütlich, aussen nicht schön, da direkt an der Kreuzung
— es gibt täglich wechselnde Tagesgerichte und Suppen, belegte Milchfladen, Bagels, Kuchen, Säfe, Kaffee, etc.
— Pflaumen-​Streuselkuchen war sehr lecker, ebenso wie der Ingwertee
— Preise absolut in Ordnung
FAZIT: Leckerer Kuchen, aber Location bei schönem Wetter nicht so schön!

un café hipster de berlin plutôt sympa, toujours bien fréquenté, mais vraiment beaucoup trop cher pour ce qu’il propose. 4 € un verre de jus d’orange et 2 € un petite tranche de cake à la banane surgelée, je trouve pas ça honnête

At first glance (and visit) I thought to myself…“how could anyone hate on this place!?“
It’s so lovely and vibrant and buzzing and cool. Approved by the Hipster Association Berlin. HAB!
And it is.
A bit too cool for school. As it were. Sometimes the staff is super nice and friendly and other times you’ll feel like you’ve interrupted an episode of The Real World Berlin. Sometimes snobby, sometimes fantastic.
The upside?
Plenty of tables, outlets, work space, energy, creativity, networking opps, clean bathrooms, decent light food options, fresh juices, etc.
The downside?
The ‘tude. It is out in full effect.
Still, I enjoyed several afternoons here. Even when the guy yelled at me for drinking my own water… even though… they have free tap water. Still. I enjoyed it. I get the policy, bro… no need to freak. We’ve got everything under control.

l endroit est sympathique a première vue, cependant le personnel manqué de savoir recevoir, et est un tantinet froid dommage pour cette endroit qui offre une belle vue sur la rosenthale platz, peut être est ce vraiment l endroit idéal pour aligne son Mac et garder la tête dans son clavier sans qe préoccuper de qui que se soit

Ambiance moyenne et serveurs pas sympa. Pourtant ce bar est toujours pleins, certainement parce qu’il est réputé pour son wifi. Mais sinon je vois pas d’autres avantages.

Perfeito local para tomar um bom café (um tanto carinho pro meu gosto), comer um delicioso quiche, ou uma ótima salada, enquanto navega pela net com seu laptop. É o tipo de café onde todos estao em seu próprio mundo virtual: trabalhando ou vendo o Facebook alheio, nao importa. 9 entre 10 clientes têm como acompanhante principal seu laptop. Sempre lotado, corre-​se sempre o risco de ter que usar seu laptop em pé, mas vale a visita, pois é um ótimo escritório coletivo, num dos mais movimentados e interessantes cruzamentos da cidade.
