I went there almost 6 months ago. The food was really good. If it’s hard for you make a decision, this restaurant help you because they just have 2 or 3 dishes.
The ambient is also nice and the service was super! I’ll back soon.

Die Maultaschen waren sehr lecker, die Käsespätzle etwas fad. 4 Sterne, weil ich die Preise als etwas zu hoch empfinde. Die Bedienung war aber sehr nett.

The food is quite good and authentic. I quite liked the dumplings and the salad. No complaints there (just a bit dry). But to be honest, although Berlin is quite more expensive in general every day, these prices are just too hight in my opinion, especially with portions not really big enough.
Decorations of the place were okay, but also not any special nowadays. Just like any other new small place just opening up right now.

St. Mauli ist ein kleines aber feines Restaurant etwas abseits der Klassenfahrt-​Straßen in Friedrichshain. Die liebevoll rustikale Einrichtung hat mir besonders gut gefallen. Das eigens für den Laden designte Logo (auch auf den Bierdeckeln!) ist ein echter Blickfang und verkörpert die jung interpretierte Hausmannskost wunderbar! Die Maultaschen an sich haben meine Erwartungen erfüllt. Besonders die hausgemachte «Salsa» ist mal etwas ganz anderes — toll! Der Beilagensalat wird in einem Weckglas serviert und vor allem die Vinaigrette schmeckte fantastisch. Die Portionen könnten etwas üppiger ausfallen… Die Bedienung war schnell und aufmerksam. Insgesamt ein schönes Restaurant für alle Tage!

I had ‘Maultaschen’ with melted cheese on top served with a stout-​like beer from the South of Germany. Man, these dumplings stuffed with meat were unbelievable tasty. Just fuckin’ try them. Best ever!!! Service was perfect as well. And don’t get me started with the interior. They did a fine job. It feels cosy and not too edgy even it’s brandnew. Right on!
