Angry Chicken

Couldn’t be done better for the price. Can get a bit cramped.

We went there twice and unfortunately the restaurant didn’t life up to the expectations. Their speciality is Korean fried chicken. You can get soem wings with different types of sauces, marinates etc. We tried 3 different types, but were disappointed. Overall they are too salty and not tasty enough. Also the meat was somewhat dry, it seemed that the wings have been cooked quite a while ago and then just been reheated. We also had their food once at a Korean streetfood festival and it was great there, so I am not sure what happened the last 2 times there, but I won’t go back for a third time… A shame.

What a interesting name for the place, It is quite easy to miscalled the name of this place. Angry Chicken is a korean fast food, the place is quite easy to find, just look for the pink sign.
I went there for lunch, ordered a Bibimbap. something I will definitly try out everytime when I’m in the korean restaurant. It didn’t took long, I already got my food. It tasted quite good. Sure, I also saw thoese fried chicken from the other customers, it looks really tasty, probably will try them out next time.
The place isn’t so big though, At the lunch break could be really busy. I was there around this time. it is actually more space than I expected, but probably was just luck. They also offer order service. if you work or live near by and not feeling to go out. This could be a great choice.

Since I was craving for Korean fried Chicken that I knew from Korea, I was happy to find Angry Chicken in Berlin.
Angry Chicken is a small place in Kreuzberg with a few seats outside and neon-​comic style painted walls.
The menu is compact and it wont take you long to make your decision. Besides chicken and fries, they also serve Korean dishes such as cold noodles (Naengmyun) or Bibimbap. We ordered several styles of chicken flavours which were all pretty good. The cold noodles and the fries are decent. The soju «cocktail» with lime which was served in a plastic bag was refreshing but slightly too strong and with too much ice at least for my taste. Is it a chilled place to have some chicken with beer and to watch people, especially in the summer!
The reason why I dont give 5 stars is because in my opinion, the dishes are overpriced and the waiting time is quite long. But I still enjoyed the chicken and would come for the chicken again!

Great food — I’ve been here twice; first time got the Menu 3 (Bibimbop and miso soup) and my friend got the Menu 2 (burger with pommes), and this last time I got the Menu 1 (chicken wings with pommes). The bibimbop was great — a lot of food, enough for a take away meal as well. I got the spicy chicken wings but they weren’t that spicy.
The place is always packed but would highly recommend.

I could not find any other Korean-​style fried chicken places here in Berlin. If you have tried Kyochon or Bonchon, this restaurant will be a just an OK one. The closest you can get here in Berlin for korean fried chicken. nothing special. always full every time I visited.

Sehr leckere Chicken Wings! Ich würde persönlich die mit der schärfsten Sauce abraten, die kann man nicht mehr genießen. Die Sußkartoffeln Chips waren viel zu dünn und hatten fast kein Geschmack.

Tbh this place is overhyped. Yes, you will get a lot of food at a fraction price but the chicken sauce was not even that good. I got chicken salad which was ok but I think it is something that I can make at home (aka vegetables on rice and fried chicken on top)
the fried chicken is something I would not be able to make but theirs were pretty mediocre if not subpar. The so so angry was nothing abt spiciness and the sweet cinnamon was a bit too rundown

I’m furiously pleased with what Angry Chicken had to offer. We were in the area looking to try not to spend too much € on some grub. Lo-​and-​behold as we crossed the street, I happened to see Angry Chicken’s sign. Intrigue took over and as we drew closer the smell coming from within was overwhelmingly good. Once inside, I opted for the Furious Chicken sauce (after a quick taste test offered up by the helpful cashier). Sweet, tangy and SPICY. I was in love. My lady opted for the Sexy Chicken (a garlic soy combination that could have used a little something extra) but she was pointed in the right direction of an additional sauce that’s a must-​try, Chili Mayonnaise. Fries and (large) sweet potato chips are also a solid little side additions. The chicken is perfectly fried and the sauces provided on the side for dipping. In the end, I combined the Furious sauce with the chili mayo and lit my mouth on fire as I demolished this greasy, delightful treat. Go.

In a word — it’s Korean, and it’s chicken, and it’s angry! :)

Longer version (for the brave) — we came in on a Friday night and we were the lucky last ones to get in!
The menu is not too diverse, but you really don’t need more than that — the menu offers are very worthy!
I ordered the furious chicken and it’s was great, but my friends took all the other chicken wings types and they are all really good!
So simple, yet so tasty — the chicken is juicy and the flavors are great.
The place is rather small but good music and good ambiance, great atmosphere for storming that chicken bowl
P.s — if you are not very tolerant to spicy, don’t order the furious, some people lost it over it ;)
After we were done we noticed the iPad on the wall so we took a souvenir photo to remind ourselves we totally must come back and try the rest of the menu.

In a city dominated by cheap and boring Vietnamese-​run sushi spots, even cheaper Döner Kepab shops, and Turkish-​owned burger joints (preferably with «meister» in the name), I want to applaud the owners of Angry Chicken.
It takes some courage to introduce new food and make a functioning business out of it. The location helps, yes, but you also have to deliver. And Angry Chicken does.
While not everything on their menu is great (the burger? the bun was way too dry), they offer plenty of positive surprises. The curly fries — crunchy and well done. The fried chicken — perfectly marinated and spicy. The soju pop in a bag — delightful as a ginger beer mix.
Small shop, funky colors, Korean-​style. 5 stars for the concept, the food, and the guts to do this.
The only thing that makes me angry is that there aren’t as many innovative and awesome places in Germany’s biggest city as this one. When you’re building a business, be smart, be brave and deliver excellent products. Your customers will thank you.

Es ist super lecker, so etwas habe ich bislang noch nicht gegessen! Ich gehe hier sehr gerne hin, werde höflich bedient und das Essen ist wie gesagt, super lecker!

Klein und lecker… Hat wirklich etwas von asiatischem Flair… Wer keine Platzangst besitzt kann sich gerne da reinsetzen und dinieren… Auf jeden Fall in den top 5 meiner lieblingsasiaten … Einziges Manko ist für mich Das 0815 Besteck… Ich hätte wenn ich vor Ort esse schon gerne richtiges Besteck und keines aus Holz… Aber das ist mein Empfinden… Ansonsten kann ich angry chicken wirklich empfehlen

Dieser Laden ist einfach Wahnsinn. Klein aber total Crazy. Man kommt sich vor wie in einer völlig anderen Welt… aber auf eine coole Art und weise. Das Essen ist außergewöhnlich und verdammt lecker. Für mich einer der besten Läden in Berlin!

Die leckersten Chicken Wings weit und breit. Vorsicht bei der Wahl der Schärfe, das kommt ganz auf die Tagesform des Kochs an. Manchmal geht die schärfste Soße ohne Probleme und manchmal brennt sie alles weg.

Vorweg: ich hab mir zwei portionen chicken wings und kimchi besorgen lassen (delivery) und bin eigentlich enttaeuscht
Das beste an der ganzen Besorgung war die schoene Tuete und Verpackung.
Kimchi war viel zu wenig fuer den Preis
Die chicken wings (sexy und furious) unterschieden sich nur im Preis, nicht im Geschmack. Sossen waren hinzugefuegt die durchaus auf sexy/​furious zutreffen, aber eine unterschiedliche Sosse rechtfertigt keinen solchen Aufpreis (6, — vs 4,50)

Hands down, one of my favourite places to eat in Berlin. I would only suggest not ordering the sweet potato chips instead of French Fries!

I discovered this place last weekend and I loved it so much that I went twice that weekend and I think I got a canker sore because of it, but it was so worth it.
I haven’t had korean fried chicken before, so I’m not sure if I may be over hyping this place, but it’s really just delicious. The chicken is perfectly crisp on the outside and juicy on the inside.
I wouldn’t recommend getting anything other than the So So Angry chicken. The sauce is just the right amount of spicy and wonderfully sweet.
We also had the ramyun (mediocre) and Soju in a bag (great for a little kick in the middle of the day!)
Definitely come here.

Excellent joint for Korean fried chicken and bibimbap. Fun, cartoony interior although it gets crowded. Outdoor seating is hard to snag so have your wits about you as inside gets near sweltering in the heat

I liked the 7 € deal for wings, fries, and a drink. They give a GENEROUS helping of good fries; the wings are average sized, although delicious. The «sexy» chicken is garlic based which I loved, if you like spicy you can go for the «angry» or «furious» chicken, or even a cinnamon variety.
Large selection of drinks, I was happy to get my favorite drink: Milkis (must try if you’ve never had, don’t think of it as milk soda)

i dont know why this place doesnt have at least 4 stars. THIS PLACE IS SO CUTE AND HIP! And the guy taking my order was very nice. I got the bibimbap and 12 wings. The rice was pretty good, but i asked for more hot sauce. the chicken wings were to die for. Crispy but tender on the inside? yummmm and the spicy sauce was gooood. my friend got soju in a bag which was pretty neatt. the drink was refreshing and clean

War neulich mit ner Freundin hier, es ist schon schwer einen Sitzplatz zu bekommen, da es nur ganz wenige Plätze gibt, es ist halt ein Imbiss. Wir hatten uns ein Sortiment verschiedener Chickenwings bestellt, mit Süßkartoffelchips und Chilimayo. Nun die Mayo war nicht wirklich scharf, doch man bekommt die Wings mit einer Auswahl an Soßen, je nachdem für welche man sich entschieden hat werden die Wings drin geschwenkt. Wir waren mit dem Geschmack zufrieden und das Menü hat auch vollkommen gereicht. Kommen gerne wieder.

Organic Chicken tiefgefroren wegen mangelnder Nachfrage?! Nachdem ich wissen wollte wie lange die Wings denn eingefroren seien, gabs nur ein schulterzucken. Liebes Angry Chicken Team, wenn ihr eure Wings schon einfriert, dann solltet ihr diese auch beschriften! Danke für die Salmonellen, dann doch lieber KFC.

Very good bulgogi burgers! And nice freshly fried chips made from sweet potatoes. Nice staff. Very small place, but adds to the experience, a little bit like street food.

This review is based solely off of the chicken wings I had. I ordered 6 pieces of the Angry Chicken, which has a cinnamon spicy sauce. I don’t really eat a lot of spicy food, and was reluctant to try it at first. These were hands down the best wings I’ve ever had. It’s too bad that I live in California, or else I would come here all the time.

What is there not to love about Angry Chicken? Delicious fried chicken, super crispy wafer thin sweet potato crisps (fries? crisps?) and friendly staff.
I really loved my soju slushy too! Which was a bit strange as I generally hate slushies (I didn’t know it was a slushy drink) — drinks in bags are definitely the way to go.
Only thing is that this place doesn’t have toilets. Fine if you are an adult but it kinda makes it awkward with kids (since they have tiny bladders– you’ve been warned!)

Für einen kleinen Snack sind Freundinnen und ich ins Angry Chicken gegangen. Ich kannte es bereits, als es noch am Kotti an der Skalitzer, in der Nähe von Miss Saigon war. Immer noch strahlend in neonfarben begrüßte uns die Bedienung mit einem strahlendem Lächeln an. Da mein Hunger nicht ganz so groß war, habe ich nur die Süßkartoffelchips bestellt. Ansonsten gab es noch Hühnerteile in diversen Sorten und Burger zur Auswahl. Doch auch das klassisch koreanische Bibimbap war im Angebot.
Eine Freundin bestellte sich den Happy Vegan Burger, der statt einem Fleischpattie mit einer Scheibe Süßkartoffel belegt war. Die Chips waren superlecker. Mal was anderes als normale Kartoffelchips. Auch ohne Dip richtig gut als kleinen Snack. Die Chicken Angebote von Sexy bis So so Angry werde ich wohl erst beim nächsten Mal probieren, die für mich dann doch sehr außergewöhnlich und interessant erscheinen.
Als Snack ist Angry Chicen schon leicht teuer, aber für das etwas Andere sicherlich ein Versuch wert.

Der kleine Bruder von Kimchi Princess, direkt um die Ecke an der Oranienstr/​Mariannenstr bietet Koreanisch-​kreatives Fast-​Food der gehobenen Klasse an. Klassiker sind die Chickenwings in verschiedenen Marinaden (mein Favorit ist die mit Zimt). Seitdem Umzug ist die Anzahl der Gerichte noch deutlich erhoeht worden, es gibt nun Burger, Bulgogi-​Ramen oder den Potatoe-​Dog, eine Wiener paniert mit Kartoffelstuecken und frittiert, mit einer scharfen Mayo — schmeckt super und ist wirklich was einmaliges.

TASTY TASTY TASTY!!! $:&2 $ 492 so good. Wish I could have ordered more food but my stomach can’t handle it. Seriously everything is delicious. I got the bibimbap not fleisch and the sweet potato chips (ugh so good) and then had some of the angry chicken (could have gotten my own one instead of a bite of a friends) and an apfel schorle. Friend got the kimchi and the chicken and the bibimbap too and we were both in Korean heaven. Can’t emphasize enough how good this place is! Put it higher on your list than waiting at mustafas cuz this place is a big deal!

Sehr kleiner Laden. Chicken Wings waren heiß und sehr lecker! Bisschen teuer für die Gegend! Trotzdem sollte man es mal probieren! Nette Jungs die das Essen zubereiten. Im Sommer kann man auch vor dem Laden sitzen.

Ich bin durch einen TV-​Bericht auf den Laden aufmerksam geworden.
Der Laden ist überschaubar klein, aber abgefahren gestaltet.
Die Auswahl ist sehr gering gehalten, was ich jedoch sehr gut fand.
Es gibt Chickenwings, mit 3 (ich glaube es waren 3) verschiedene Soße — von süß bis sehr scharf.
Die Hähnchenteile kann man auch als Menü ordern, mit Getränk und Pommes oder Süßkartoffelchips.
Dann gibt es verschiedene Burger, auch vegetarisch
Jedenfalls ein sehr abgefahrener Laden und mal was andres. Ich werde auf jedenfall nochmal hin und den Burger probieren, der sah nämlich super aus.

Cooler kleiner Imbiss im koreanischen Fast Food Format mit ein paar Sitzgelegenheiten im Inneren am Heinrichplatz gelegen. Die Chickenwings gibt es in verschiedenen Schärfegraden und unterschiedlichen Soßen (Angry, So So Angry, Sexy). Der Beefburger war sehr saftig und geschmacklich zu empfehlen. Originell dazu sind die Kartoffelchips aus Süßkartoffeln. Für einen Imbiss in Kreuzberg nicht ganz billig, aber gut.

Angry Beef Burger /​5,50 Euro (Bio 7,50)
Bei Angry Chicken bekommt man einen soliden Korean Burger mit einem leckeren und gut gewürzten 180g-​Patty. Das Kimchi verleiht dem Gesamtgeschmack eine leicht säuerliche Note. Allerdings fehlt es dem Burger an Frische. Mehr Salat würde den dominierenden Patty sicherlich etwas ausgleichen.

Fast Food auf koreanisch: Das ist das angry chicken. Schrille Neonfarben, eng gestellte Tische und dekorative koreanische Schriftzeichen an der Wand ließen mich wundern, in welcher futuristischen Gastronomie ich gelandet bin. Als Vorspeise bestellte ich 6 Hähnchenteile mit «so so angry» Soße. Die Soße war wirklich scharf, also ganz nach meinem Geschmack. An frittierten Hähnchenteilen kann man wenig falsch machen. Für 4,50 € preislich ok, aber in der Gegend von Kreuzberg kann man durchaus günstiger essen. Ausschlaggebend für die Bewertung mit 3 Sternen war letztdlich der Angry Beef Burger. Ein großer und würziger Fleischpatty (selbstgemacht) zwischen zwei alten Brötchen. Tut mir leid, aber krümeliges, trockenes Brötchen kann nicht verkauft werden, schon gar nicht in Kombination mit zu wenig Soße. Zudem wurde der Burger auf einem Tablett mit großer Papierserviette gereicht, sodass am Ende durch den Saft des Fleisches eine große Papiersauerei entstand. Die Holzgabel war bereits nach dem ersten Sttück um einen Gabelpieker erleichtert. Diesen fand ich dann im Burger beim draufbeißen.

Wer auf Hähnchenteile steht, sollte diesen Laden mal ausprobieren. Ich steh da nicht so drauf und finde, sechs Knochen mit etwas Fleisch für 4 – 5,50 Euro nicht unbedingt günstig. Die Soßen sind aber sehr gut. Außerdem ein origineller, wenn auch sehr kleiner Laden.

Da die Lust auf Koreanisch groß war und der Internetauftritt des Angry Chicken mir mit leckeren Mittagsmenüs und Beilagen wie Süßkartoffelpommes bereits das Wasser im Munde zusammenlaufen ließ, machte ich mich trotz mittelmäßiger Bewertungen auf, um nun endlich selbst herauszufinden, wie es hier schmeckt.
Das Bibimbap stellte sich als lediglich durchschnittlich heraus, leider fehlten die besondere Würze und der authentisch koreanische Geschmack, der sich aus Gesamtzusammenstellung der Zutaten und Sauce ergibt. Die bestellten Süßkartoffelchips konnten an der Hand abgezählt werden und waren kalt– also unbedingt die normalen Pommes bestellen. Der Burger ist zu empfehlen (gutes mariniertes Fleisch), allerdings war das Burgerbrötchen durchweicht und matschig.
Vor Ort überzeugen die übersichtliche Karte, die moderne, farbige Inneneinrichtung (ein bisschen Hipster) sowie die Präsentation der Speisen. Man fühlt sich sofort wohl und kann außerdem in Ruhe das Kreuzberger Treiben beobachten. Für einen kleinen Snack ganz ok, für koreanisches Essen eher abzuraten.

Hatte den Angryburger mit den Süsskartoffelchips. Die Chips sind wirklich Chips und keine «fries». Sehr lecker. Der Burger hat leider zu weiche buns, sodass diese mehr den Eindruck von älteren Schrippen hinterlassen. Das Fleisch ist gut gewürzt und die asiatische Komposition passt. Sehr lecker ist der Babyspinat auf dem Burger. Eigentlich knapp 3,5 Sterne. Kann man durchaus machen!

What is better than fried chicken? An angry chicken! Ok maybe not literally but you get what mean.
I’ve been here with two friends and ordered me the vegan «happy» burger. It’s a burger with a tofu-​polenta-​kimchee patty with spinach some sesame mayonnaise between two lovely buns. It took quite a while because the waitress got my order wrong but the guys in the kitchen were super nice and corrected it immediately. The burger was a ish! Super juicy and filled with magic. I LOVE IT.
The interior is just amazing. There is that food stall right in the middle of the room used as an table. The walls are covered with doodle-​like figures and here and there you have a bit of neon colour. It’s loud, cocky and you kind of love it.
We chit chatted with one of the waiters and ended up with getting a free refill of our soju pop (slushy with soju, lime and ginger in a sexy plastic bag… I know but it’s actually great!). I will definitely come back to this place!
