Food is incredibly fresh and the service couldn’t be better. I recommend the breakfast spread(first item on the menu). They also make a great Americano.

This place is so amazing, so lovely, perfect for me when I traveling alone. The back patio is magical, with lots of plants and beautiful decorations. The food was the best I had in Istanbul and the best breakfast of my life, hands down. Fresh pastries, whole wheat bread, perfectly cooked eggs, excellent cheese. The menu was in English, which was nice, and all the people working there were very kind.

Good food! Somewhat pricey(6TL for a croissant, 6TL for a coffee, 5TL for a scone), but still decent if you’re a tourist and don’t mind spending a little more for some familiar food. The décor of the place was really fantastic, it was a great breakfast experience.

This place is fantastic — little hole in the wall serving food you can feel great about. Everything is perfect and made from scratch, especially loved their homemade croissants. We had them as a part of their full Turkish breakfast, which I could go back for every day if my waistline allowed it. Being from San Francisco, I also loved that this café prides themselves on good coffee and sustainability. You can get a Siphon pot!

This nice little café is a hidden treasure on a side street of Aga Hamami(where there also are nice shops, bakeries and cafes). They serve a nice breakfast for only 22TL with fresh orange juice, coffee or tea, cheeses, homemade marmelade, eggs as you want it, olives etc. We were also lucky that they had prepared some turkish spinach bread kind of thing for the whole café for free. The atmosphere is amazing and the service was perfect. They alao speak very good english and recommended a good hamam for us.

Delicious breakfast here on our last day in Turkey. Really neat place. We had the siphon coffee and it was delicious!!! A little on the expensive side but they support sustainable practices and local farms so it worth the couple extra $$.

Perhaps my favorite brunch spot. Heirloom café is a little bit hard to find and it makes it that much more special. The restaurant is very environmentally aware, the owner will Gladly fill you in on their accomplishments in that arena. The breakfast is far and away better then any turkish breakfast you will get in the area. Quality ingredients served on beautiful olive wood serving dishes.

Third time to Istanbul and I was reviewing some of my Unilocal favorites from last year(I often use my own Unilocal reveiws to remind myself where to go for good vegetarian food) and I came across this one that I hadn’t reviewed, A very savvy friend brought me here and I am so grateful! I had a massive salad and delightful coffee. Even though it was summer, it was pouring rain when I went so they turned on a little patio heater for me! Anyhow, it’s really healthy and affordable, and as the other reviewer said, an amazing and cute location. Precious garden, sweet details.

This is a really great place to escape the hectic streets of Istanbul, as the café is tucked away in a side street and then again the sitting area is situated in little courtyard… beautifully peaceful! The Heirloom Café is run by Dilek and her son Ahmed. Dilek is on of the most gracious and personable hostesses I’ve met in a long time. Since I’ve already stayed at the Heirloom Istanbul, — the adjoining apart hotel — before, Dilek knows me and my likes already and so every time I walk into the café she welcomes me with a big smile and when I sit down at the table in the little outside area, she soon brings over my Turkish coffee. Last time I was using the café as my office with my colleague and Dilek treated us with some little goodies from the kitchen: some beans, olives and freshly made bead. — She said that working brains need some substance. She also let us taste the muffins she had just made; they contained no refined sugar, but grape syrup instead. The breakfast at the Heirloom Café is also fantastic: freshly made croissants, cheeses, honey, jams, olives and eggs in any kind of variety.(I prefer the eggs Turkish style, with tomatoes, chilies and feta cheese.

This place is priceless. My husband and I were in Istanbul for our honeymoon and stayed here for 4 nights. The café is a huge plus– breakfast there was not just a meal, it was an event. A very delicious event. I still dream about those croissants and coffee. The suite was spacious, homey and well decorated– a bit more storage space would have been great, but other than that it had everything we needed. Biggest plus was the hospitality and helpfulness of Dilek, the owner. She walked us around the neighborhood and made us feel right at home. The area is really cool– as a tourist, I feel like we got a taste of a very cool, real area of Istanbul. Highly recommended for short or long stays.
