it’s a cute place, and the presentation is nice but the portions are small, it is not an exclusively vegetarian place and the cheese i did not like…
they give you a lot of bread to fill up with which apparently is the norm here… another norm is to bring you water and charge for it (although their charge was reasonable)… in another restaurant by Taksim i was charged 3.5 TL for a small bottle of water… that’s something that sells for 0.5−0.75TL at supermarkets.
i wish i had looked at the photos here… the breakfast plate had a photo and apparently they have hellim (halloumi in greek) and i could have asked them to substitute or gotten that dish…

Had a wonderful traditional breakfast here for two (27 TL) and tried sahlep here for the first time. It was delicious! We also got menemen with sausage, which was great. The service was friendly and fast.

We had a fantastic kahvalti here on Sunday morning. I had the Gunaydin, #3, I think, with tea. Beautiful outdoor shaded dining area along the street. If any Americans are shy about trying a local restaurant, this is a good place to come. Language was a little bit of a barrier but our waiter and the staff did everything they could to please us, and even anticipated the shade moving and moved us to another table. A great experience in a very local spot.

During our stay we went there a couple of times, because we really enjoyed the breakfast served there. The food and the drinks are delicious, and better still: you can have breakfast almost all day long, which is great after a long night There are only few tourists, and when the weather is nice you can sit outside but it is not always easy to get a table!
