Divan Pub

Hard to understand this place. Quality of the food and service change time to time. For example, today, they totally forgot the starters. Disappointed!

Since there isn’t any review in English, I decided to write my review on Divan Pub in English for the people who are visiting Istanbul. Divan Pub is one of the oldest and qualified place in Istanbul. I have been going there since I was a student at Istanbul Technical University. However it is rather expensive for a student budget but at that times I was saving money to have its legendary rococo desert which is absolutely delicious with the warm chocolate sauce. I still love the desert but nowadays i mostly try to have salad or vegetable when I go there.
The place welcomes you with its recently designed nice interior environment and its outdoor patio facing Gezi Park where peaceful protests have been going on since June 2013. I highly recommend Divan Pub for a lunch or dinner with its qualified Turkish and international cuisine.
I drop one star because of the service when I was there for a quick lunch last time. Nevertheless, it is still one of my favorite place around my workplace.
