Carluccios, located on the street level floor of Kanyon Mall, boasts a decent menu with well made food. Italian is hit or miss in Istanbul. Actually outside of Italy it seems to be hit or miss in most cities I go to. Carluccios isn’t bad, but it isn’t amazing. Decent prices(app and entrée and two waters) are about 50TL. I had the spinach and Gorgonzola gnocchi which was tasty but lacked flavor. I had their new vegetable bruchetta which was sub par. The veggies were great on top but the bread had no crunch. On tow of the four pieces, they half grilled, but it was like eating veggies on a piece of fresh bread. Sorry Carluccio’s, I need the crunch in my bruchetta! Only getting 3 stars out of me today. Until next time!

If you arrive at Kanyon from main street entrance it’s just on your right side. Since I always come from underground parking I was keep missing this place. And all this time I was complaining how awful all franchise bistros in Kanyon. Such a waste… They have a better kitchen and service than any other restaurant in Kanyon. It’s large, has it’s own restrooms, offer different types of sitting areas both indoor and outdoor, and feel more spacious. Especially good for business meetings.

Carluccio’s is a wonderful chain-Restaurant inside the shopping mall Kanyon. When I first heard of its opening I was very excited, as the Restaurant has great praise in London. The location inside the mall was picked very cleverly, in my opinion: right at the entrance, stretching out over half of the entrance floor. It adds class to the place, as it serves a different clientele than the more fast-food and moderately priced equivalents on the Restaurant floor of the mall. The Restaurant also sells some Italian goods such as pasta and sauces. The most important asset of this Restaurant however really is its food. It is real Italian Food, the type of comforting Italian cuisine that your Italian grandmother would cook in her kitchen. Despite being a chain, it gives you THAT feeling, which is spectacular! The breads are yummy but the pasta is de-liiiishhh! The penne with Zucchini and Spinach balls is the best pasta dish I have ever had!!! When I am in the area and want to spoil myself to some real Italian food, Carluccio is definitely at the top of my list.
