Spycher is a very cute place from the outside but it is a fairly large location in reality. The service is timely and courteous if a bit short and Germanic from time to time. The food is good, not great but reliable. We had the duck and the venison. The sides are not great except the fries, which were perfectly cooked. It feels like the portions are larger, perhaps to justify the somewhat higher price tag compared to other grills.

I had the fillet beef flambé with a mug of glühwein. This was served with a delicious serving of vegetables with three different sauces of pepper sauce, herb butter, and bernaise sauce. The portion sizes was just perfect, not too much, not too little. I enjoyed the glühwein. It was warm, calming, fragrant, and delicious.
