I found this place on one of my many rambling walks around my brand new place of residence.(American expat, flying blind over here. Hjälp!) Always a sucker for food, spice, and food… just food… I ventured in, and decided to have a meal and some drinks. As often as I meander about the globe, and eat at restaurants alone, I never stop feeling a LITTLE awkward when I walk in and announce«Just me. No really. One. Just one. Me.» But the Spice Corner made me feel welcome, and the server/bartender/manager???(one guy was running the show but doing great at it) seemed to sense my awkwardness and bad Swedish, and was kind enough… to be kind. The food was excellent — really. Fresh, flavorful, and with just the right amount of spice. Good sized portions as well. The prices for both food and drinks were very reasonable by Swedish standards, and the house wines were not just watery cheap crap sold at an insane mark-up. The wine was GOOD,(a robust Cabernet, this one) and priced rather fairly for a restaurant.(Beers are really well priced too, though I didn’t order any…) There’s always a mark-up, but this WASN’T a ridiculous one. Overall, a very nice experience! Recommended if you want a great dining experience at a lovely and relaxed place where you can actually get a table.(Just getting a table is a blessing in Stockholm, so if the food and drinks are good… it might be worth going off the beaten path a little. I recommend it!)

Curry is essentially the modern Brit’s favorite meal… I’m so pleased to have found this place since moving to Stockholm; a top Indian restaurant that isn’t in the heart of the city — it’s a bit nicer than a local suburban curry house in terms of décor and such, but the service and food are exactly what I want from somewhere like this. Top notch! What should you order? Talk to the staff and let them guide you — they know best! And go for something different each time. I’ve not eaten badly here, and can’t see why I would! This was also a perfect place for us to eat out when our son was first born. You won’t dine alone, but it’s not full to capacity like some of the Indian’s in town so you have space — we managed to park the buggy, and still not bang elbows with anyone!

Didnt know what to expect when the old venue closed out, cause it seemed to be hard to pull the business together here. In came an indian cuisine who spiced up the quarters of Fredhäll. When looking back, it seems to be the right thing. The place is perfect for lunch and have around 6 dishes a day to choose from. Prices are fair, food taste genuine and extra spicy on demand. They have quite a few tables inside and an outside patio when due. Dinner or lunch i bet you wont be dissapointed and i think they are here to stay. Veni, vici, vidi… Spice corner!

I thought the Spice Corner was great. Nice atmosphere, great chandelier, clean appearance. The server was very friendly and helpful with any questions we had. I was in the mood for some spice… In fact that’s why I chose the Spice Corner. So, I ordered the Chicken Vindaloo. «Chicken Vindaloo?! Do you know what that is?!» Exclaimed the server. He explained to me that is was extremely hot and that when he tried it, all he could feel was the heat and that it overpowered the dish so that he couldn’t taste the flavor. It was very nice of him to warn me and he also suggested a dish that he really liked which wasn’t quite as hot. So, I ordered both of them. They were both very good. The chicken vindaloo definitely had some spice. It was the perfect amount. Enough to give it a kick, but not so much that it detracted from the flavor. The chicken was also nice and tender. I would recommend picking up some spice at the corner.
