I overlooked the fact that this was a food truck, and one Friday night in bad weather, my husband and I trekked out here for dinner. Since there was nowhere sheltered to eat, we had to take our food all the way back home before our first bite!
We got the jerk chicken and some sweet potato fries, and while tasty, the flavors weren’t quite right. We’re spoiled, as we’ve had jerk chicken at the Boston Jerk Centre, supposedly the birthplace of jerk seasoning, and I can imagine that it’s tough to get the same ingredients in Sweden, but it just wasn’t quite the right spicy flavor. The rice and beans and the festival were just a bit off as well.
It’s a mountain of food for an exceptional price, and it was tasty, so I’d love to go back when the Jamaican craving hits me again, but with the expectation that it’s not quite the real thing.

When you walk over the tram lines at Gullmarsplan you can be forgiven for thinking that you have taken a wrong turn. However this food truck serves up amazing food.
I ordered the jerk chicken wrap and all I can say is WOW.
The chicken is so juicy, succulent and the spices the right hotness! In the wrap with the chicken goes rice, salad and homemade coleslaw which takes some the hot spicy taste down. The guy who serves you looks like he loves what he is doing and is singing along to the dancehall music which is playing over the radio.
Do not miss this hidden gem of place, it would be a crime to do so!

The fried chicken is always done to perfection! And just the perfect ratio flavors for a truly amazing Jamaican experience.

I love Yardie! I have eaten here twice and highly recommend others go try it out. Their Jerk chicken is so tender and falls off the bone. The staff are friendly and welcoming.
