SATS

tl;dr — Nice idea with the dark, loungey vibe but it doesn’t really work in practice.
The entire chain of SATS gyms suffer from one major flaw — there is no subscription model that doesn’t include classes. So for people like me that don’t do classes but exclusively lift weights it is automatically a seriously overpriced chain of gyms. They are among the best in the city though.
This SATS has a unique selling point in that the gym area is dimly lit to the point where it’s like a night club. It’s supposed to be a good thing and a niche for this particular SATS. It is cosy and has relaxing features but it does come with flaws. A major one of course is that it’s harder to see when you’re ‘mirin yourself in the mirror. But that’s not the main problem. Once I was walking from the squat rack to the free weights and it was fairly crowded in the already small weight area. I took a little short cut between a pole holding the wall and a machine. Out of nowhere (because it was dark af) I bumped in to a full olympic size barbell that apparently was laying on the machine I was passing — BAM! The barbell fell on the floor hitting stuff and everyone was looking at me in the gym. Good thing it was so dark because noone probably saw who I was so that’s a pro.
Locker room is ok but small so it easily gets too busy. I also used some kind of stretching room that was very small and this entire gym feels tiny and utilizes small spaces.
Staff is super friendly & helpful as always.
In sum, not a favorite & will probably not go here again.

Great SATS club, located beside Metro Rådmansgatan. Minisats for you who have kidz. Cool interior, especially the gym — feels like a nightclub. Dark and few lights. You will find everything for your cardio, weight lifting, classes (lots of Yoga and hot studio). You can also buy NIKE clothes there. Friendly staff that always gives you an hi and hallo at your visit there. Minus for small changing room. Plus for a large sauna. I really love SATS and can recomend it if you want high quality at a fitness chain. They are truly the best in Stockholm.

The newest member of the SATS family in Stockholm located in the middle of Sveavägen. A smaller differentingly designed gym renovated with some new interesting features. The gym is spaced between three floor, which basically comprehends cardio, machines and free weights.
The lightning here is very different, much darker and cozier than other SATS gyms. Downstairs you only get the lightning from a couple of spotlights along the sides which provides some cool lightning effects. This also takes the tension away from the show off factor at the gym with a more calm atmosphere.
You dont have to worry about the equipment, they have more or less everything you need to get your workout going. So if you are up for a more laidback atmo when working out today, go for the shadows in the cellar at this place.
