We had strolled around Gamla Stan and it kept getting snowier and colder. At the end(or I suppose the start depending on your direction) of the super tourist trap avenue in Gamla Stan is this place with its red and white tablecloths and welcoming staff. This is NOT a tourist trap restaurant it is absolutely a stand on its own great place to eat! The staff is great and speaks a multitude of languages. They are incredibly knowledgeable about their food as well as their extensive and well curated wine list. During the lunch time you get a pasta dish together with a small salad buffet included. I went with the Rigatoni ala Norma and it was everything I needed it to be. The pasta was the most proper al dente I have had at a casual restaurant just perfectly lightly tossed with delicious small pieces of fried eggplant and cherry tomatoes. Such a simple delight! Matched this with a glass of incredibly affordable Nebbiolo/Shiraz blend while the snow fell just outside our window — a delight! And for under 400SEK?! Tremendous. Really I don’t think you can go wrong with this spot and I will definitely return.

My wife and I had one of the best metals ever. I had a juicy oxe file and she had röding fish. Appetizer was also really good. Pino noir wine was excellent and above all was friendly and polite servitors. There, I will go again.

5 stars… PERIOD! We started with a very nice and fresh salad bar, with a few nice specialties I never had before. Then my wife had a daily special for 100SEK which was a bargain, and fantastic«entrecôte» with mushroom risotto and glazed red beets. Red vine and Skåné Akvavit. I had fabulous moose meatballs, chanterelle gravy and real mashed potatoes. Also had custom setup pickled herring and two small boiled potatoes, with a Skåné Akvavit snaps as appetizer. Beer to the main course. Black coffee at the end. Atmosphere is very cozy, and very busy at lunchtime. Excellent service at the table, our servant, Julius, did a real good job serving what we needed… Overall one of the best lunch experiences I had in a long time. Price range from 100SEK to 400SEK, on a wide variety of dishes

We only had the pizzas and basic pastas which were good but not great. It looked like the seafood dishes were their specialties. The wine list is very good, and the glasses by the bottle were solid Italian wines rather than typical plonk. The service was friendly and very attentive. And they were very accommodating with my kids. I didn’t like being charged for a bottle I water when I ordered tap.

Happened on this place after a long series of boat rides. We were hot and thirsty. What a find and so sorry we Are leaving in the morning, we would have loved to spend an evening sampling the wonderful menu. We had Italian lemonade for our thirst, and I the perfectly prepared Jerusalem artichoke soup, my husband the personal pizza of figs, red wine, chèvre and artichoke. Perfect setting and perfectly prepared food and service.

Cute place in Old Town! Open windows in the summertime and the throng of people dining inside convinced us to give it a try. Their pastas seemed affordable and quite moderate for Stockholm(150 – 200SEK). They also had some Nordic specialties in the 230 – 300SEK range. The bruschetta at 110SEK was super fresh and delicious, but it was one medium size piece of bread, so, rather small. I enjoyed the perch from Lake Malaren, cooked in a fragrant wine and tomato sauce(270SEK). I tried my friend’s reindeer steak and it was perfectly tender and well-seasoned. All in all, it was a really nice restaurant I would be happy to go back to… not that Stockholm is lacking at all in the food scene! Buono appetito!

Scrumptious Italian fare in quaint Old Stockholm! Service was a bit slow but no complaints when one gets to guzzle Peronis and people watch whilst munching on garlic bread.

Sehr gemütliches Lokal in der tollen Altstadt von Stockholm. Am besten sind die Tische am Fenster, wo man wunderbar die Leute vorbeiziehen sieht. Die Gerichte bewegen sich zwischen 180SEK und 350SEK. Wir haben für 2 Gerichte(Rentiergulasch und Pfeffersteak) sowie ein Glas Wein und einen Saft 550SEK bezahlt. Das war das tolle Essen und die Atmosphäre aber auch wert. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Insgesamt ist das Paganini zu empfehlen.

Great place on the main tourist street in Gamla Stan. I had the Moose meatballs and my wife had the beef tenderloin, both were excellent. Not bad price wise for Stockholm. I highly recommend.
