Nosh and Chow

Lovely chic place with wonderful drinks.

Nosh & Chow wowed me. At first. Here’s the thing: the first hour was «GET THE F%€# OUT!» Good. But somewhere after the appetizers, it fell apart. Which was a terrible shame, because up to that point, it was my new favourite place in Stockholm.
Sweetie & arrived a little before our reservation time, and were quickly made comfortable at the bar. Belvedere Martini, three olives. All good. As soon as the drink was gone, we were taken to our table. The restaurant is really very beautiful, with a creative warm flair that invites both a lively time, but makes you feel that its warm & cosy at the same time. The menu is VERY creative: interesting plates, exciting ingredients, a good spread of things. I ordered the Ox Cheek Buns & Entrecôte, & Sweetie had the Flank Steak menu, with charcuterie board, Korean BBQ flank steak, and crème brûlée (highly recommend this!). We ordered the Scaia from the very decent wine list.
My Ox Cheek Buns were divine! And this was the inflection point: we were so wowed, that we could barely contain ourselves for what would come next. And it came… over an hour later. At that point, we were starving, slightly drunk, and irritated. Irritated, because the place wasn’t full. In fact, by then — 10:00pm — it was barely half full. And we noticed that the only people serving were our waitress, and… the host? The bar had three bartenders. Sure, the steaks were heavenly (especially the flank!). Sure, the crème brûlée was great (this arrived shortly before 11:00pm). But the time lag in serving was just… execrable. To add insult to injury, the bill was brought and it was SEK1,100 too high. To his credit, the host noticed it right away, but it still took almost 15mins to sort that out.
I’m giving Nosh & Chow 4 stars, because its a great p, ace with great food. When they get another server to help, & sort out kitchen snafus, it will be 5 stars. Go, but bring a book to read. Just in case.

Great drinks! A very good place if you want to go somewhere and have fun. The food has been good, maybe not consistent every time but you would still like the experience

Wonderful place– BEAUTIFUL décor and location. FOod was delicious and staff was friendly amazing and service was superb. Wine selection is not great.

I was there yesterday evening for a group diner. Despite the size of our team (at. 12 people) the restaurant has accepted to let us free choice on the menu. It was great and has allow us to taste many items. The place is design, well decorated — have a look to the loo they were really funny in my opinion… One point on the bad side is the noise: the place is popular and crowded. Therefore noise is high — avoid romantic diner there ;)

Great place to stop for a drink while strolling through one of the more fancy and high end parts of Stockholm. They had a great selection of wine and beer when I was there. Only 2 beers on tap but they were all local and wonderful to drink. Also only 2 red wines by the glass but a good Zin from Sonoma and an organic Cab from Chile. Beers were ~50 SEK and wine was 100 – 115 SEK. Good value considering the area.
Even though I didn’t try the food, I really love the concept of a diverse menu that highlights food from 4 different corners of the world. Everything sounded amazing and probably worth a try if you have the chance to come here.
The vibe was very elegant with a touch of eccentric. Dark wood panels with touches of gold and faded black and white photos documenting how to lift weights. Fun place.

Went here for dinner last night and really enjoyed it. It was quite busy for a Tuesday night, but the service was still good. Atmosphere is really nice. I started with some grilled Spanish peppers… so good. For my main I had the beef salad which was lovely. It was packed with lots of vegetables and the beef was cooked perfect. Will come back again and would recommend it to my friends.

Lobster soup is good. Portions are not as big as reviews elsewhere would have you believe. Pricey but what isn’t in Stockholm.

I had the entrecôte and it was superb. Awesome vibe and great décor, but the main course was really splendid. I highly recommend this restaurant for those traveling to Stockholm.

The Old Fashioned was good!
