Amazing music, good atmosphere, the staff is awesome and super friendly. English speakers should feel super welcome. Really good bartenders, kinda pricy drinks though.

These guys are professional. Well crafted drinks and pleasant welcoming service makes this bar quite different than the rest of what you’ll find in town. No gimmicks, just music, booze and people. A dark bar atmosphere with lots of candles and a wide array of different types of people make it a friendly place. You know you’re in an international and cultured place when you see the Under Siege laserdisc and the Greek Cocktail poster.

Sometimes happenstance works pretty well. Missed my stop on the bus, and while walking to where I was going, heard one of my favorite mid-90’s RnB songs coming out of this bar. Popped my head in and the DJ turned out to be one of the owners filling in. Decided to grab a Falcon and talked with the staff, who were a group of brothers. They were very friendly and the place had a cool little vibe. I will totally go back and make it a planned place to visit.

Rare to find a place around with adequate seating in this area. That, paired with the always lovely staff and cheap beer– this place is one of my favorites.

Great place to hang out! Nice atmosphere and I love it that it’s not overly crowded and unbearable. Comfortable seating in the back and friendly staff. Cash only my dear friends… I Know, it’s odd, right?!

Bar Nada is a smallish bar somewhat central in Södermalm. When I was there before, it was just a good bar with convenient music. This time I went there for a gig and it was packed. I think it’s a good venue for small bands or solo artists and really enjoyed it there. For sure I will check out if something is on there when I am in Stockholm again!

I’ve gotten very lucky since I moved here. I know just enough people who know the city well enough and know me well enough to know the kinds of places I like. Bar Nada is totally my kind of bar. Södermalm is a popular district for going out in with a bit of a scene, so when I heard we were going, I kept a cautious eye. But the bar came highly recommended from my friend’s friend and she insisted we try it out. So I met up with her and her friends. Although it’s in Södermalm it’s just far enough away from the action to be awesome. Nada’s tucked away on a quiet street and just on the border of the commercial area and the residential part. So few are likely to know about it. In fact, when I was trying to find this place, I asked some bouncers and locals where it was and no one had a clue. So that’s a pretty good sign. When I arrived, the sign outside simply said ‘BAR’. Inside it was cozy and quaint. Really high ceilings, so you didn’t feel claustrophobic, but small nonetheless so you felt like you were at your neighborhood bar. The décor was great, minimalist, artsy, hip. I had a couple vodka tonics which were stiff and the bar staff was very friendly despite how crowded it got at points. The music was great, ranging from pop to lounge. The crowd was hip but unpretentious. It’s the kind of place you go with friends to stand around and shoot the shit, but it’s also the kind of place where I feel it would be conducive to meeting others later in the night in a casual laid back atmosphere. Could also see it as a place I’d start off the night. Really loved this place and definitely see myself going back.
