This is an awesome place to meet friends, kick back and drink a beer. It is like a really cool dive bar, minus the dive part. The food was excellent and garlic beer was really good, something i have never experienced before, so I was really happy to have had the chance. we will be back!

Manqué de finesse et trop lourd. C’est ce qu’on peut dire de l’ambiance de l’établissement ainsi que de sa nourriture. Anormalement chargés en ail, les burgers sont rapidement écœurants. Les frites, les sauces, les fromages et même les bières sont agrémentés d’ail. Cet ingrédient peut très bien relevé certains plats, mais il reste un condiment. Né pas trop en abuser, me paraît évident.
Et pour ce qui est de l’ambiance, c’est très très bruyant.

Fun trendy restaurant on Söder — every dish has a touch (never overwhelming and barely noticeable) of garlic, including desserts. I enjoyed the Swedish meatballs with a glass of ginger ale (European brands so much tastier than USA) and my son found his meal of sausages delicious with a bottle of Shitting Monkey beer. Servers were very personable and décor unique; two I thought clever included the sign stating, ‘Tipping is not a city in China’ and the rear end of a Dala horse protruding from the wall. Good prices, too!

I went there with a friend who had told me about it so I wanted to try the beer and garlic thinguy.
The beer is tasteless so the garlic in it becomes even more tastefull, and it’s a great mix really ! I never would have thought of that.
But the glass of beer is really small, and the burger I had was not good, so it was a bit of a turn down.
Otherwise the place itself looks funny, and the staff is really nice and chatty, so good atmosphere overall!

The rumours about this place have been scattered all around Stockholm, or perhaps Sweden. When I finally managed to visit the place I was pretty sure that the ribs were going to be my choice. I tried a garlic beer and a Honey Garlic Brandy aswell.
The food was superb. I have nothing to complain about. The garlic beer was as expected, beer with garlic — i can’t say it was good but it surely was an interesting experience.
The service however made my rating go from 4 to a 3. This is mainly because I give the waitress the benefit of a doubt before lowering the rating way to much based on her service. She was first of all rude, very rude.
When the kitchen forgot the roasted garlic for my plate of ribs she made a condesending remark about my complain.
And she was drinking beer during her working hours. I can’t really support that.
So the waitress actually gets a pretty low review, but the restaurant all in all was really good.

I must say, when our host asked us to meet him here I was really expecting the worst. I mean, with a name like that?! Boy was I wrong. Cool ambience — think dive bar (but clean) and plenty to look at with stickers everywhere. And the food was awesome! I got the Caesar salad with grilled shrimp and it was some of the best shrimp I’ve ever had. The portions are enormous! I tried everyone else’s dishes and loved all of them.
My hubby also tried the beer with garlic which was pretty weird. I think it is more of a novelty than anything else… so he could say he tried it! Basically just regular beer with crushed up garlic in it. I wouldn’t have ordered it ;) But there is plenty on the menu that is not so crazy.
Oddly enough this ended up being our favorite spot in Stockholm. Affordable, great food, good service and unpretentious! Will definitely return!

Here’s the thing, my partner and I came here because we LOVE garlic so judging from the name Garlic and Shots, we are assuming we will be sucking on garlic pieces for dessert.
We ordered Texas Chili for appetizer, BrO’s Texas Chili Burger, and Garlic Honey Roasted Baby Back Ribs.
The Texas Chili was good, but rather small. It came with a piece of naan bread (or some sort of flat bread, I am no expert). Was it memorable? If you are a chili lover, you probably had some better than this. If you are not a chili lover, you probably wouldn’t like it. If you are neither and you just like garlic, you’ll be disappointed as it had NO garlic taste to it. If you are me, you’ll be satisfied since one, you are expecting the main course to be garlicky-​er, and two, you are not a chili expert anyway.
The BrO’s Texas Chili Burger was H-​U-​G-​E. It came with a side of potatoes and salad and the burger is lying on a bed of lettuce and tomatoes and then topped with some Texas Chili (see appetizer review for reference). All this in between two soft slices of hamburger bun. It sounds oh so good but the reality is, the patty itself was very dry. My partner said he had better hamburgers from kiosks. That’s a bit alarming, eh?
I had the Garlic Honey Baby Back Ribs and others were right about it, it was full of flavor! Unfortunately, none of those flavors is garlic. Yep, the one thing I am really looking forward to. Don’t get me wrong, it was good and it was succulent. It was served with a head of roasted garlic which I finished since, if you still haven’t noticed, I love garlic. However, the ribs by itself would have been too sweet for me. It came with crisp potato peels under (yes, under the ribs) and salad and salsa on the side. Again, it was a huge serving and I barely even finished it.
The wait staff were very nice and friendly! We came at 11pm and the restaurant was still full, mostly with people speaking English!
Are we coming back? Probably not. We are here for the garlic but we have more of it at home.

Everything garlic! I loved the veggie garlic burger. So good! The garlic fries are also amazing. I wish they were open for lunch though.

My review is also based entirely on the honey garlic ribs. AND the garlic bread. AND the garlic house beer. AND the shots. While the idea of a garlic restaurant can seem gimicky… these are all strong options that I would order again and again and again. And I have.

My rating is based completely on the ribs!
I am a big fan of baby back ribs, and the best I’ve had in Stockholm are the honey and garlic ribs at this place.
The honey marinade is delicious! With everything! The ribs were served with fries, salsa, coleslaw and some salad. I guess pretty much everything had garlic in it. I would choose this place every day of the week when feeling like eating ribs!
The restaurant itself is pretty cool, kind of casual and located in a nice neighborhood. The service was standard. Next time I will definitely try some of their garlic drinks and cocktails!

Attention garlic lovers! You have to check this place out. Had an interesting rum, honey and garlic shot at the bar which was quite nice. Main course of ribs and garlic bread was excellent. All in all, a cool bar/​restaurant in the trendy SoFo area of Södermalm (south island in Stockholm). Not surprisingly, you will reek of garlic for a few days!

If there were 10 stars, Garlic and Shots would get it. I’ve traveled to nearly 40 countries and this remains one of my all-​time favorite restaurants in the world (I lived in Stockholm for four years). Okay, so you gotta be a garlic fan, but this place is truly one of a kind. They have the best garlic bread I’ve ever tasted in my life and the garlic beer? Well, if you love garlic and love beer, you should try it. Truly a unique experience if you are in Stockholm!

Here is the thing. If you like garlic, you will love this place. coz pretty much everything served here will have garlic in it including the Beer. YES!!! Freshly minced garlic in Beer… now, how does it taste? guess you have to try it out for yourself.
Food is pretty good with a good variety of meat and veggie dishes. Weekends tend to get crowded and there is usually a wait for the table. You do have an option to wait at the bar and enjoy some garlic Beer :-)
BEWARE! In case you plan to go to a nice Lounge /​Club after… you will be smelling of Garlic.
