Fantastic service, fantastic food. Albeit, we have only ever had Yakimono with meat and vegetables, and it is great. Our server was very attentive and did a great job making sure we were happy. Great place and a favourite in Swedens beautiful capital…

Don’t confuse Murasaki with a regular Japanese sushi joint. It clearly states that it’s for teppanyaki and sukiyaki and they do have some sashimi, but listen to the sign, come here for what they’re opened for. Man, I wished they had sukiyaki restaurants in places I live. I have yet to seen the words sukiyaki in Toronto, and the restaurants that do serve sukiyaki in paris all seem to be an afterthought. But maybe I should just look harder. We tried coming here one Wednesday evening, and we were told politely by the server that the food will be a one hour wait. The restaurant was barely half full(admittedly the restaurant itself is huge). We asked if the appetisers would take that long since we were all really hungry and they said no. But after we sat down for over 10 minutes, we didn’t have a server in sight to take our orders. Everyone else around us are also just drinking and there isn’t any food. At some point, we just kinda got fed up and left. On Friday at noon, I popped back to the restaurant for a nice bowl of soup udon and when it came I was delighted. Have you ever made noodles in a sukiyaki hot pot? Or any other hot pot? So delicious! The soup was amazing and not too salty and the beef was perfect — thinly sliced beef with perfectly marbled fat. My only complaint about the dish is that they used lettuce instead of napa. I had to pick it out so it doesnt contaminate the flavour of the soup. The service was fantastic. The price was on the expensive side. I had my noodle and a coffe and it worked out to be about $ 30, or 25EUR ish. Pretty crazy.
