Miss Clara Hotel

I was disappointed in this hotel. It is not cheap, but it is by no means a five or even four star hotel. The location is great, close to the subway, and central to everything. The room is a bit worn. Burned out light bulbs, chipped paint. All info about services at the hotel must be viewed via a pdf on the TV, no paper directory in the room. Europeans will probably love the breakfast, but it is on par with a Holiday Inn Express in the States, down to the horribly clogged self serve waffle maker. Front desk is polite.
My major beef is the total lack of privacy. The layout of our room was split bath, and both the shower/​bath and commode room had glass doors. The do not disturb light on the electronic door was non functional, and we had no do not disturb sign to hang on the doorknob. After walking the city all day, we always returned to a dirty room. Housekeeping did not clean until after 4 PM, which really did not allow for a nap or comfortable use of our room. The last straw came for us when housekeeping came to check if our room was properly cleaned at 5 PM, while my wife was in the shower, with its lovely glass walls and door.
Housekeeping in general was a disappointment. One day, they were in our room for over an hour. You could hear talking on her cellphone much of the time. We had trouble sleeping that night, and I realized the room was quite warm. Housekeeping had turned the heat up to max. I suspect the maid was detoxing or something and feeling shivery.
If privacy is not your thing, or if you never are in your room in late afternoon, this place might be OK. Not for me.

Just spent a week in Stockholm at Miss Clara and could not be more pleased.
The hotel is extremely clean, modern, and chic.
The customer service at the front desk is one of the best I’ve ever experienced. The team is extremely knowledgable in recommendations for tourists regarding restaurants, neighborhoods, transportation, etc. Their attention to detail is exquisite and they were very pleasant and personable to deal with.
The breakfasts included in the hotel stay were great, highly recommend going with this option.
Overall, great hotel in a good location, with excellent customer service.

Terrific hotel with welcoming staff in a great location. Can’t beat the high quality with the reasonably priced rooms. Hotel breakfast is the best I’ve had with many healthy options. Hotel is charming yet modern. 10 minute walk from train station and 5 – 10 minute walk from hundreds of shops and cafes. Neighborhood is commercial, yet quiet at night.

Miss Clara is without doubt one of the most beautiful and unique hotels I have stayed at. The beautiful building stands in all its glory on Sveavägen, which is full of life.
The location is perfect and as Stockholm is pretty small, you are close to everything.
The interior is just as beautiful and unique as the outside. You will be greeted by friendly receptionists, in a reception including iMacs and beautiful lamps.
The room is just as beautiful, with nice big windows that opens out onto Sveavägen. Here you can sit and enjoy a drink, read one of the good magazines (Acne Paper, Design Hotels’ Direction etc.) that is in your room, or go online on the flat screen TV.
The bed is amazing and the materials are top quality. The bathroom is very beautiful too, and includes toiletries from the British designer, Orla Kiely. From the bath there is a clear view of the remaining part of the room.
Breakfast is served in a beautiful room with large open windows and with views over the busy street.
Here you can feast on delicious bread, Swedish specialties (cheese and cold cuts), croissants, cakes, yogurt, cereals, omelets, lamb sausages, fresh fruit, smoothies and juices. Freshly brewed coffee is served, and why not finish your breakfast with freshly made waffles with one of their homemade jams? The possibility is there anyway. The breakfast contains everything you can imagine and worth the money.
