One of my absolute favorite bar’s in Stockholm. Located in the city center, near to the«hot spot» Stureplan, the adress couldn’t be much better. It’s a beer bar and you get a lot of beer, and I mean a lot. It’s pricey as hell but you know, you get what you pay for and you pay for excellent beer and that’s exactly what you get.

I liked the one beer that the bartender gave me. I couldn’t remember what it was called. But it was citrusy and sweet, which was a perfect fit with a bowl of vinegar tasting chips. It was too bad that they only have around 30 different selections, and there were no chocolate flavor. The location itself was close by a metro station. Just as the Mikkeller bar located in Copenhagen, this one was small in space. Though at the time, their music selection, that was playing on the background was good choice, and my companion enjoyed it. We did get disturbed by lots of noisy and misbehaved guests.

Hyped & overrated but not bad! The venue is very different from what you’d expect from a beer bar considering interior design. It’s stylish and not like a classic pub. The smell of old spilled beer and lack of AC reminds you that you’re in a pub though. IMO not a venue you want to stay in for longer than necessary. The beer selection is great and it’s awesome that the come in small sizes for tasting — something all bars should start with now! Worth a visit but focus on the beer and forget about the venue.

If you enjoy beer, this is the place to go! The variety is immense and the staff will gladly guide you to the beer you want to have. The atmosphere is noisy and very social. There are around 20 small tables but you might have to wait at the bar to eventually sit down, especially if you are a group with more than 4 people. Perfect for afterwork with friends.

Mikkeller is a microbrewery from Copenhagen Denmark. Here in their Stockholm bar you can try 20 different taps from Mikkeller and other brilliant breweries all over the world! I’ve tried Mikkeller’s Peter Pale & Mary APA full glass. Suggest you to order the small glass if you want to try a few more.

So after visiting Mikkeller and Mikkeller and Friends in Copenhagen we had to visit their Stockholm outpost while we were in the city. Like their other locations, the bar has a clean and fresh design and plenty of beers to choose from. The atmosphere is very welcoming and although the patrons were mainly Swedes, I don’t think we were the only Brits in there. As well as seating in the main bar, there’s a small side room which looks a lot bigger than it is because of the use of mirrors. The beer options available mean there really is something for everyone. A lot of the choices were sour beers which I’m just not in to. We visited twice during our five days in Stockholm and became big Mikkeller fans so now I’m hoping they’ll open up in the UK!

I loved this location. I loved it as much as I loved the Copenhagen location. This space is definitely roommier, but with less outdoor seating options. The beer is amazing. My last day in town I spent going on a beerventure, trying to hit as many local beer recommendations as possible, but Mikkeller was at the top of my list. I tried their Texas Ranger chipotle porter as well as their Amass Red amber lager. The Texas Ranger had surprising depth and a slight bitterness. The Amass Red was something I coulda drank all evening if I didn’t have a list of other places to hit. I couldn’t leave without some of their beer glasses and a tshirt to bring back to the states.

After attending the Mikkeller Copenhagen Beer Celebration, i went on to Stockholm. Well lo and behold Mikkeller Bar just opened here too. Dropped in on a late weeknight to find myself being the only customer. Tried a few sours when a ton of Brits decided to show up. Guess i brought the party. The lady who was running the place that night is into ska and we talked beer and bourbon as the Brits raged on. Too bad i didnt have any more nights to hang there as it’s more mellow than the two CPH and SF counterparts.

Mikkeller have finally opened in Stockholm and is adding to the ever improving beer scene in Stockholm. The small space holds an impressive number of seats without feeling crowded and the light décor and mirrors adds to the feeling of space. Staff are super-friendly and more than happy to discuss beer and give recommendations. They are also generous with offering tasters of the different beers so no problem to taste before ordering. The friendliness of staff appear to rub off on the guests as the atmosphere is relaxed and friendly. All beers on tap(around 20) can be ordered in small(around 0,2l) and large(looked like 0,4 or possibly 0,5l) so possible to taste several different which is nice. The board behind the bar lists the different beer and these tend to change fairly often. Information on price, alcohol level and flavor is listed there as well. Appreciate that they also include numerous beers from other breweries and have a decent range of bottled beers as well. The prices range(or at least when i was there) from 40 – 55 for the small and 75 – 100 for the large ones. Perhaps not expensive to be Stockholm and not bad value but it is easy to rack up a bill of a few hundred without even eating anything. The food menu looked limited and i did actually mot even try anything off it but does not appear to be the place to come if hungry.
