Just ok vegetarian buffet. Bread and salads were tasty but the warm dishes we sampled were so salty they were almost inedible and otherwise forgettable. 189 SEK (includes buffet and coffee/​tea from a machine, no dessert) is too much for basically cafeteria food, but they do have student discounts. Surprisingly crowdy even on a Monday night in January, so reservations probably recommended.
I’m guessing most of the good reviews are for the view. Would not come back for the food.

Damit ist schon fast alles gesagt! Die Suche nach einem vegetarischen Restaurant in Stockholm ist gar nicht so einfach und umso glücklicher kann man sich schätzen, wenn man das Hermans in seinen Urlaub integrieren kann ! :)
Das Hermans liegt im jungen Bezirk Södermalm mit allerbestem Blick auf die Hafeneinfahrt Stockholms.
Man kann sowohl drinnen als auch draußen sitzen. Beides lohnt sich.
Anfangs zahlt man an der Kasse den Buffetpreis von ca. 12 € sowie je nach Wahl ein Getränk. hier bekommt man dann seinen Teller um das Buffet zu erobern.
Auf dem Buffet warten zahlreiche vegane und vegetarische Gerichte. Warme und kalte Gerichte … Sie sind alle unglaublich lecker und man sollte nichts auslassen. Egal wie wenig Platz im Magen am ende noch ist. Vor allem vom Hummus hätte ich die Schüssel am liebsten direkt mit zum Platz genommen! ;)
Leitungswasser, Tee und Kaffee stehen zur Selbstbedienung bereit.
In der Mittagszeit ist es relativ voll. aber was soll ich sagen, es war so toll dass wir die Zeit einfach vergessen und sogar unsere Bootstour verpasst haben ;-)

All-​you-​can-​eat vegetarisches Buffet klingt für Fleischliebhaber wie ein kleiner Alptraum, aber wir wurden positiv überrascht. Die Gerichte sind sehr lecker und werden laufend frisch zubereitet. Draußen wird frisches Gemüse gegrillt und eine große Auswahl an Tee ist auch noch im Preis inbegriffen. Der normale Preis liegt bei umgerechnet 25 € p.P. mit einem Studentenausweis zahlt man nur 50%, wenn man ein Getränk dazu holt. Der Laden ist anscheinend dauerhaft sehr gut besucht, weshalb man etwas Wartezeit in Kauf nehmen sollte. Bedienung am Tisch gibt es gar nicht, man bedient sich in jeder Hinsicht selbst. Der schöné Ausblick auf Stockholm entschädigt dafür umso mehr.

Compared to other vegetarian buffets in Stockholm, its pretty solid. Soup Plantation has more variety. Free dessert options need to be improved but overall it was good. The open air concept is also pretty interesting.
I like the beer selection and variety of teas offered. Good choice if you are near the photography museum!

Very good value for the money you spend. Cute outside garden with a view. The set up is kind of annoying– you seat yourself and pay for a plate inside. It’s not exactly a secure place to leave your stuff around, so it’s best to have someone wait at your table. If the line is long, you will have to awkwardly line up by the dish room/​stairs to the bathroom to pay.
The servers are aware of allergy stuff. Most of the food was gluten free on the evening that I went– curries, rice, salads, hummus, and grilled veggies. The only things I couldn’t eat were the lasagna (which was apparently mediocre), the pasta salad, and the crusty bread.
There is a student discount (50% off) if you purchase a beverage.
Free tea and coffee to finish off the meal. Overall, a very nice experience!

Maybe it was the reggae or the heat, but Hermans gave me a cosy festival feeling. Go on an empty stomach, preferably after shopping in crowds near t centralen, load your plate with food (balancing recommended) and take the stairs down to the garden area.
I loved having my vanilla chai in the hammocks, I’d also say it’s a nice place to dine alone or relax with a book if you’re taking late lunch (we went around 3pm). Disclaimer: you might eat far too much and wander around fotografiska in pain.

Personally I don’t understand the hype over Hermans. Firstly, it’s very overpriced, and despite the student discount mentioned everywhere, they refused to give us the discount because they «hadn’t gotten back into the habit again». So we paid around 180kr per person instead of 90kr (a big difference for poor students). The food was okay, good quality of ingredients and fresh tasting. But the options were limited, and the queue long. There was nothing amazing gastronomically speaking, the place was loud and crowded, and the refusal of our discounts left a sour taste in both mine and my boyfriend’s mouth. I doubt I will return anytime soon considering it’s the worst vegetarian restaurant I’ve been to in Stockholm.

Hermans — I want to meet this ‘Hermans’ character. With a piece of prime real-​estate on the hillside overlooking Stockholm’s water front, the eatery is adjacent to the main tourist destination for photos of the city. Despite the signs many just wander by, as we did on the first pass, ensnared by our fist real view of the city.
So before wandering off — STOP! Look around for the sign and follow it jus a few feet to the entranceway. Move down the long walkway into the dinning area and make a right turn. Get in line and order the buffet. Pay your money. It is worth it. Stop worrying about how much. Just hand them your money.
I will admit that I had some reservations because I am usually turned off my any type of buffet. I decided to suck it up and try this place because it consistently came up on searches for vegetarian restaurants in Stockholm. This was nothing like the American buffets I have experiences — while we were there the staff was very attentive to the buffet area, and nearly empty dishes were replaced quickly.
Take your plates and make your way into the buffet area. Mind the line. Pick and choose what you want. Offerings change daily from what I understand, so there is no menu per say. It’s just whatever they make that day. On the day we were there some of the options were vegetarian lasagna, curry and rice, and at least 10 different salads. Be sure to get some of that great bread on your way out.
Find a seat, eat, drink, be merry, enjoy the view and than repeat. Be sure to use your dirty plate for the second pass. It is so easy to spot who does not use bread to mop up all that leftover good stuff.
My plate was spotless.

The food is absolutely delicious, although partly quite spicy, so maybe not for everyone. Free water, coffee & tea. Gorgeous location by the water with view over Stockholm.

All in all a high-​value and high-​quality all-​you-​can-​eat buffet, the helpful staff explained everything to us in a very friendly manner. Would definitely recommend.

I spent two weeks in Stockholm and ate here twice! This restaurant not only has the most gorgeous setting upon a cliff with a top notch view, but it had such a beautiful and creative buffet of delicious vegetarian dishes. I absolutely loved everything about this restaurant and wish I had one in Los Angeles to enjoy! I highly recommend eating here even if you are not a vegetarian when in Stockholm. Yum!

This place is a perfect combination of cheap prices, healthy and good food as well as great location with a stunning view over Gamla Stan and Gröna Lund. It is also possible to obtain consistent student discounts. Great for both lunch and dinner.
The menu offers a good variety of vegetarian food, both cold and warm. The best part is that everything is all-​you-​can-​eat.
It is usually crowded, and it happened that I had to wait one hour to get a seat. This might be the only negative aspect of this restaurant, that actually is not too big. Remember to reserve a table and enjoy!

Este café e restaurante fica em cima do morro de frente para o Fotografiska Museet e tem uma vista de tirar o fôlego. Se estiver um dia quente, não deixe de sentar do lado de fora, porque você vai ter o privilégio de ver o que Estocolmo é de verdade, uma cidade incrivelmente bonita.
Infelizmente o dia que eu fui estava um pouco frio e ventando bastante, então preferi ficar do lado de dentro, ao lado das janelas, só curtindo a vista e tomando meu café. A comida parecia deliciosa, e está servida como buffet a preço único, então você pode comer o quanto quiser.
Eles demoraram um pouco para servir meu cappuccino, mas nada terrível.
O lugar é muito agradável e os preços são bons. Achei que talvez fosse um «engana turista» mas me diverti muito e voltaria aqui mesmo que morasse na cidade, afinal de uma vista linda dessas você não pode se cansar.

On our recent trip to Stockholm, Sweden, my girlfriend and I asked quite a few locals where they might recommend for a great meal. Hermans vegetarian cuisine was the top spot of so many people that it was impossible not to give it a try. I’ll be honest, I was a skeptic at first since I normally need a healthy portion of meat with meals, but I was totally blown away with Hermans offerings.
As buffets go, Deb and I visited several, ranging from the bland and oily Asian kind to Herman’s, the very best vegetarian restaurant I’ve ever been to. Herman’s was actually a suggestion from our Airbnb host, who offered it as an option for special occasions. Their buffet line options change throughout the night but some of the memorable bites we enjoyed were the eggplant lasagna, spicy olive pizza, and their vegetarian Thai curries. What’s more, Herman’s is located practically on a cliff so you get a full panoramic view of the city from Gamla Stan to Djurgården.
Protip: Skip the Chinese buffets and grab a 2-​for-​1 coupon to Herman’s in the city’s Restaurant Guide. Not only will you score what might be the most affordable meal in town, but it will also be one of the highest quality and healthy bites in the city.
Seriously, some of the best food in Stockholm so run, don’t walk, and grab one of the shared tables for a fantastic meal!

Hermans ist ein rein vegetarisches und organisches Restaurant in Södermalm. Sie haben ein ‘All you can eat” –Buffet. Das Essen für die Buffet jeden Tag anders ist, eines Tages indisches Essen, eines Tages mediterrane Speisen und so weiter. Unter jedem Thema auf jeden Tag gibt es eine große Auswahl an Gerichten ist, kann man wählen Sie aus. Der Preis für ‘all you can eat’ Frühstücksbuffet bescheiden für Stockholm’s Essen Preise ist das Essen ist zwar sehr gut. Ich würde das Buffet empfehlen, obwohl es auch andere Optionen wie Suppe sind, hat Kuchen etc. Das Restaurant einen schönen Blick über Stockholm und das Meer. Kinder sind sehr willkommen hier –wie üblich in Stockholm. Wegen des guten Essens und dem niedrigen Preis ist er zu voll wird, vor allem am Wochenende. Alles in allem eine sehr gute Wahl für Freunde des organischen und vegetarisches Essen.

Increíble buffet vegetariano, hasta para los que no adoramos la verdura demasiado puedes encontrar alguna pizza vegetal que te hará la boca agua.
Los lunes, con la tarjeta de estudiante (cualquier Student Union) obtienes descuento en el precio.
Las vistas son increíbles, merece la pena acercarse.

Endlich war ich auch mal im Hermans! Jahrelang hab ich mir das vorgenommen und nu war es soweit!
Erstmal Schlange stehen war angesagt, als wir gegen 18h hier eintrafen. Bezahlt werden muss vorher. Wir haben das Abendbüfett (Middagsbüfett) bestellt und zwei Peach-​Pomme Granate-​Tee-​Getränke. Das Büfett kostet abends 179 SEK und für Studenten sogar nur 90 SEK (mit meinem HU-​Ausweis ging das auch, vielleicht war es von Vorteil, dass ich Schwedisch studiere — ich weiß nicht), dafür musste man aber auch ein Getränk dazu bestellen.
Das Büfett war schon gut und hatte eine ziemlich gute Auswahl an vegetarischen Speisen und Rawfood (mir fällt der deutsche Ausdruck dafür grad nicht ein). Geschmeckt hat alles, wir probierten uns komplett einmal durch. Zweimal kam es vor, das wir beim Auftun auf den Teller etwas anderes gedacht haben, als es tatsächlich war, so stellte sich der Fetasalat beim essen als Blumenkohl heraus und der Gurkensalat als Zucchini. :)
Egal, definitiv ein Restaurant, dass ich wieder besuchen werde, wenn ich lecker und all-​you-​can-​eat essen gehen möchte.
Und über den wunderbaren Blick auf das sagenhaft schöné Stockholm wurde ja schon alles gesagt! :)

Hermans has one of the best views in Stockholm and their kitchen is pretty good serving vegetarian food.
— You go inside and pay for your plate in advance. Coffee, Tea and Water is included in the price. Any kind of soda drinks are extra.
— After paying for your plate, you get in the line to get your food. Don’t worry. Your stomach will not eat itself. You do not wait that long!
— It is a buffet. So, if you finish your first plate and still have some place in your stomach, you can go for a second round or you can use that space for their amazing desserts!!!
I highly recommend Hermans if you would like to eat vegetarian food.

I have been to this place so many times now and I bring friends and family too! Being from California, I have had amazing vegan and veggie restaurants in my life. I have to say that this place serves a variety of delicious vegetarian dishes. It’s one of the best in Stockholm for sure! FYI: Make sure to make a reservation for the weekends, tables go fast.

BEST-​VEGETARIAN RESTAURANT-​EVER!
They offer a hudge (!) choice of tasty vegetarian dishes, salats and breads with clear oriental or asian influence in form of a wonderful all-​you-​can-​eat buffet.
It is so yummy you can’t help yourself but go back to the buffet again, and again!
And even for the non vegetarians: it tastes so delicious you’ll forget about meat…

Hermans is awesome.
The first day we stopped in, we were looking for some hot chocolate. When we went to the counter, there were all sorts of great looking treats and desserts. We ordered hot chocolate, some chocolate cake, and a raw pumpkin cupcake.
The hot chocolate was served in a glass with whipped cream and sprinkled with cocoa powder. The chocolate was just warm, but the whipped cream was very good. I would rank the hot chocolate 10^th place on my hot chocolate tour of Europe list.
The raw pumpkin cupcake was very good. It was different from any cupcake or pumpkin muffin I have ever had. It had a cool temperature and was more refreshing than a typical baked muffin or cupcake. It had a little bit of a vegetable crunch from the raw pumpkin slivers. It had a cream cheese like frosting on the top.
I am generally not a fan of chocolate cake. However the first bite of Hermans’ chocolate cake was incredible! It was very warm and extremely moist. The consistency was great and it was covered in a ton of that awesome whipped cream. I might have to say that was the best chocolate cake I have ever eaten in a restaurant.
We didn’t eat a meal the first time we went to Hermans, but the buffet style dinner that was set up that night looked excellent, so we decided to come back a couple of days later. They had an Asian theme the night we were there for dinner. It was all you can eat and boy there was a lot of food. I tried a tiny bit of everything and it took me 3 large plates of food to even taste everything. They used all vegetarian ingredients with a selection of sauces to accompany the meal. There was a chili paste that was very flavorful and had a good amount of heat to it. The dinner also came with a large selection of tea flavors, coffee, and water.
Even though I was stuffed, we decided to go with some dessert. Unfortunately, they were sold out of the awesome chocolate cake, so we decided to try something new. We went with the raspberry pie crumble heated and covered in cream sauce. It was very good.
I was full for the remainder of the night.

The view from Hermans was by far the best view of any restaurant I have visited in Stockholm. It is located high up on a cliff above Lake Mälaren and overlooks the lake and a lot of the city. I could have sat there for hours drinking in the view of beautiful architecture, shimmering lights, and passing cruise ships.

Der Fußweg von der U-​Bahn bis zum Restaurant bietet einen tollen Ausblick vom Rand einer Klippe über die Innenstadt (bes. abends zu empfehlen!)
Das Ambiente im Hermans ist wirklich sehr gemütlich, wenn auch etwas beengt. Das Personal war sehr nett und immer sehr bemüht! Wirklich ein guter Tipp aus der Unilocal-​Community.

Essen war super lecker. Absolut zu empfehlen! Nicht nur die Aussicht über Stockholm ist grandios, die Vielfalt der vegetarischen Gerichte ist sein Preis absolut wert.

I can recommend this place to every vegetarian who visits Stockholm. I was there last weekend and can’t tell you how good the food was.
I am not sure about the price because my bf paid but I am just saying with any other buffet TAKE IT EASY. Don’t fill your first plate like me because it was impossible for me to eat a second plate. I was simply full. I will go again but eat very very slow ;)

Eines der besten vegetarischen Restaurants, welches ich kenne. Es gibt ein leckeres Buffet und ein BBQ, für welches man nur einmal zahlen muss. Das BBQ alleine ist schon unschlagbar.
Hinzu kommt noch die tolle Aussicht über die Bucht von Stockholm.
Man kann auf verschiedenen Ebenen drinnen oder draußen sitzen, wobei draußen sogar Hängematten angeboten werden.
Für Stockholm Urlauber ein muss, ob nun Vegetarier oder nicht!

To bad you can’t give a place zero stars, one star is way to much.
This must be the most overpriced piece of s**t in all of Stockholm, and thinking about the quality in general on Stockholm restaurants it is a tough competition.
Basically their angle is «we are vegetarian» and it stops there.
So damn uninspired and crappy food. Tasteless, expensive and boring as hell.
When I go to a vegetarian restaurant I expect to be blown away by the texture and taste of the things I eat. I do not expect a tasteless pesto, boring hummus and generally boring salads.
And then on top of all this junk they have some idea about «raw food». Well, raw food can also be really really nice and exciting. But t this was just normal vegetarian food but it was not cooked at all.
Avoid this place at all costs, just because you are vegetarian and believe it yourself don’t make you good. I get more vibrant and exciting food at the pick it yourself sallad bar at ica.
I wish this place would go bankrupt so someone that knows something about food can start something at this superb location.

Das Hermans in Stockholm ist ein Veggie-​Restaurant mit Blick über die Bucht von Stockholm, wir waren dort zum Buffet-​Mittagessen. Alles war ganz frisch und lecker angerichtet, alles vegetarisch. Es hat wirklich sehr gut geschmeckt und ich kann das Restaurant nur empfehlen. Es ist wie alle Restaurants in Stockholm ein wenig teuer, aber dafür dass man so qualitativ hochwertiges Essen bekommt, ist es wirklich in Ordnung. Wir konnten sogar draußen auf der Terrasse sitzen (im Juni) und hatten schönes Wetter. Von mir gibt es 5 Sterne für dieses kulinarische Highlight in Stockholm.

We had an early dinner at Herman’s tonight and it was a real treat! The food (vegetarian) was *delicious* and varied (many different types of salad items and several hot food items). Coffee and tea are included. There were many tempting-​looking dessert items (not included in the cost of the buffet), but we were too full.
The dinner buffet cost 165 SEK (*very* reasonable for such a costly city) and it’s an additional 10 SEK on Friday nights. The lunch buffet costs 100 SEK.
The restaurant is very high up on a hill and the view is *lovely*. There’s outdoor seating, but it was a little too cool for us to sit outdoors. Herman’s is VERY popular and I recommend making a reservation (we didn’t, but we arrived at 5:00 p.m. and managed to get a table).

Das Essen im Hermans war super! Ich war wirklich sehr, sehr begeistert von der Auswahl und besonders den Gewürzen. Montags bekommt man das Buffet für 90 SEK und an den Anderen Tagen zwei Personen für 165 SEK. Preislich geht das also allemal, besonders bei der Qualität!
Ich kann es nur wärmstens empfehlen.
Tipp 1: Man sollte sich einen Tisch reservieren.
Tipp 2: Die Kuchen sind lecker. Habe ein Stück Mango-​Torte gegessen, das war einer der besten Kuchen, die ich je gegessen habe! FMit 68 SEK nicht gerade billig, aber das kann man schon mal machen.

Im Hermans kann man wirklich gut und günstig essen. Am Buffet gibt es ausschließlich vegetarische Speisen, Salate, Brot etc. Alles sehr schmackhaft und die Auswahl ist auch völlig ausreichend. Als Student bekommt man sogar noch mal Rabatt. Im Sommer kann man bestimmt sehr schön auf der Terrasse sitzen und aufs Wasser schauen. Wirklich top!

Hier stimmt einfach alles. Wir waren in den letzten beiden Jahren 3x dort und wurden nie enttäuscht. Das Essen schmeckt super, wird sehr appetitlich angeboten und ist stets frisch. Für einen Pauschalpreis von zur Zeit 100 SEK (August 2012) gibt es eine große Auswahl an Salaten und warmen Speisen, dazu frisches Brot und wie in Schweden üblich Kaffee soviel man mag. Im Sommer kann man auf der Terasse speisen und den wundervollen Blick auf die Stadt geniessen. Das Hermans ist unser absoluter Favorit in Stockholm.

Ich kann Hermans auch nur empfehlen. Ein super Buffet, für Studenten kostet es montags nur 80 Kronen, was für Stockholm generell sehr günstig ist und es zur beliebten Location für Austauschstudenten macht. Ich bin kein Vegetarier, habe aber nichts vermisst. Und oben drauf gibt es noch einen phänomenalen Ausblick. Freue mich schon darauf, dass es wärmer wird. Sicher ist es dann ein noch größeres Vergnügen draußen zu essen.

Sehr Leckeres Essen mit einen wunderbaren, vielleicht die Beste, Ausblick in ganz Stockholm.
Von der Terrasse kann man die Stadt sehr gut bewundern und die Schifffe fahren vorbei. Das Essen hat immer ein sehr hohes qualität und es ist auf keinen fall eine Turismusfalle.
Sehr empfehlenswert, egal ob Sie normalerweisse Fleisch essen oder nicht. Hier wird jeder satt.

Sehr leckeres Essen wo wir in Stockholm wohnenden auch gerne zur Besuch kommen. Das Essen ist immer gut wie auch die Bedienung und beim schönen Wetter ist es perfekt im Garten zu sitzen und die wunderschöné Aussicht nach Djurgården und das Meer zu geniessen.

Das Essen hier ist wirklich lecker, auch für mich als nicht-​Vegetarier!
Der Preis für das Buffet ist für schwedische Verhältnisse ok, aber nichts für den ganz schmalen Geldbeutel.
Bei unserem Besuch im November gab es ein Winter-​Weihnachtsbuffet mit Rotkohl, Gewürzbrot, Glögg usw.
Das dürfte nichtunbedingt repräsentativ für das ganze Jahr sein, war aber auf jeden Fall sehr schmackhaft.
Zu dem Buffet gab es ein Getränk dazu, welches ich nicht kannte und auch nicht identifizieren konnte. Evtl etwas typisch schwedisches (?) war auf jeden Fall sehr süß, und vom Geschmack her Richtung Cola oder Malzbier mit leicht fruchtigem Touch angesiedelt. — Beim nächsten Mal dann doch lieber Wasser g, aber probieren war ja mal interessant.
Das Publikum ist international, bunt gemischt und relativ jung.
Der Platz im Wintergarten war, trotz der guten Aussicht bei Minusgraden draußen nicht unbedingt optimal, weil trotz doppelter Hinweisschilder, bitte den Haupteingang zu benutzen, laufend Gäste durch die Wintergarten-​Glasschiebetür reingestiefelt kamen und jedel mal einen schwall –6 Grad kalter Luft mitgebracht haben.
Die Toiletten zum Restaurant befinden sich eine Stock höher. Hier könnte mal renoviert werden.
Fazit: Kein Nobelrestaurant, aber gemütlich und mit leckerem Essen. Durchaus empfehlenswert

Das Hermans haben wir an unserem ersten Tag in Stockholm nach Empfehlung eines Freundes besucht und das war es wirklich wert! Obwohl es schon dunkel und recht diesig war, hat dieses Lokal mit einem alten Bauernhaus-​Charme in seinem Wintergarten den schönsten Blick über Stockholm. Für Kälteunempfindliche gibt es — weil immer sehr voll — auch ein an den Wintergarten angeschlossenes Zelt. Dem Urteil zum Essen kann ich mich nur anschließen

Das Hermans ist absolut einen Besuch wert. Ich bin zwar kein Vegetarier aber das Essen dort ist wirklich schwer zu empfehlen.
Super ist auch das All you can eat Format. Da kann man von allem ein wenig kosten und muss sich aus der guten Auswahl nicht für ein Essen entscheiden.
Fast am Besten hat mir aber das Brot geschmeckt. Die Schweden verstehen es wirklich gutes Brot zu machen.
Die Preise im Hermans sind für schwedische Verhältnisse recht günstig. 140 SEK für Essen (all you can eat) mit Wasser und Tee finde ich sehr gut. Sonst haben wir bei unserem Kurztrip nach Stockholm meist ein weniger gutes Preis-​Leistungsverhältnis gehabt.
Das Hermans ist aber auch wegen seiner super Aussicht auf Stockholm einen Besuch wert.

Ein absolutes Highlight in der Stockholmer Restaurant-​Szene! Studenten speisen hier Montags für 70SEK inklusive Kaffee oder Tee und Leitungswasser vom üppigen, vegetarisch-​veganen Buffet. Alle anderen zahlen wie an den übrigen Tagen zwischen 135 und 175 SEK (Nachtisch kostet etwas mehr). Im Sommer bietet die Terrasse viel Platz, um den Blick über Stockholm schweifen zu lassen.

Montags bekommt man als Student ein wahnsinns Angebot: All-​you-​can-​eat Buffet inkl. Tee oder Kaffee für 70 SEK. Das ist ein Angebot, was man nicht ablehnen kann!
Die Aussicht ist toll, man sollte allerdings nicht zu spät kommen, wenn man drinnen und damit im Warmen sitzen möchte. Sonst gibt es aber auch draußen Platz, das ist aber nur im Sommer gut.
Auf jeden Fall mehr als einen Besuch wert!
