Comfort Hotel Stockholm

Loved this hotel. Can’t beat a free breakfast. Good value. Fancy for a comfort inn. What makes it the best is the location. Around the corner from the central station is so convenient in the city center. I would stay here again. The room was very clean and quiet. Could not hear neighbors at all. Bed was too soft and my back hurt.

Stay in this hotel only if you are in Stockholm on transit for less than 24 hours and need a quick access to centralen. So many other better options available otherwise, this should really not be the option for Stockholm!

Cons:
–Weird area, very commercial with nothing around though a 10 min stroll will get you to Drottninggatan the main shopping street
–Rooms are extremely small. They are well renovated but the designer who has gone did urban cool must be crazy painting the walls of the small rooms black /​black patterned wall paper. Nightmare for clotrophobes.
–the one window of our room looked out to the inside of the World Trade Center, I.e. escalators. 0 sunlight or sky access. Nordics are already dark but this is literally like living in a drawer.
–some random person barged into our room while we were still in bed, said sorry and ran out. This was before check out time. Still unsure if this was a hotel person or rando.
–scary lobby décor. Urban cool gone extremely wrong.
–untrained staff who didn’t inform about checkout time or breakfast. We had to call down and ask about it.
–no options for printing out boarding cards if need be.

Great hotel! Located just next to the train station (2 minutes walk, or even less, if you are fast), very easy to find. Staff is very friendly, they gave us a room at 10 am even if the official check in time is 3 pm. They serve free coffee and tea at the reception. The breakfast is great, wide selection, tasty food, and relaxing atmosphere.
Prices are quite high, but that’s the usual thing for Stockholm. We ordered a double room with window (had to pay extra for the window) and, when we complained about the heating in the room, which was not working, we were on the spot offered a different room.
I however forgot my hat at the reception and was not able to find it afterwards, but that’s not the fault of the hotel.
