My husband took me here for my birthday as something unique and out of the norm. The food was very good but soooooo small! I wanted more of each dish as we both had a bite and it was over after that. Perfect for a romantic date as you’ll probably drink a lot of french wine, feel tipsy and have a flat sexy stomach as you won’t have eat really eaten very much at all by the end of the night!

Wanted to get a different dining experience and found this place right off Birger jarlsgatan. Made a reservation for Tuesday night which was fortunate since the place was packed at 8pm when we arrived. Concept is that the chief make around 15 – 20 small dishes every night that is offered one-by-one to the table. Each person then choose whether they want it or send it all the way back to the kitchen. The waiter keep count by throwing a glass marble into a bowl on the table when you pick one. Sounds complicated? Well it isnt very hard, you eat and pay for what you pick. Most dishes are great composed with a lot of changeful flavors entering your mouth. There is everything from fish to meat so there is something for everyone, although sometimes you can feel a bit forced to pick a dish when you denied three in a row. But please dont, you are here to enjoy the food you want, so take your time, and remember that you wont please the waiter just because you pick something random. And dishes will be flying in no matter what! Plates are small and cost 55SEK/each so an estimated guess would be that around 5 – 6 each will get you settled. A good thing to have in mind is that you most certainly wont be stuffed leaving this restaurant, but you will be pleased in a more flavorable way. This is a fine casual and different dining which will give you a fun experience. And you should go here those days you are more into quality than quantity.

A good idea, but… meh Nice comfortable space, brightly lit, friendly service. Waitresses come round offering you small dishes and you select what you like off their platters… a little like appys at a cocktail party, except that you are seated at a table and the portions are larger than bite size… but only just. With each selection a marble is dropped into a cup on your table and at the end of the meal you cash in your marbles and pay the total. So far so good. The problem is the food is decidedly patchy… tuna tartare with carrot purée tasted of nothing, cod in lobster sauce was way too salty, as were a couple of other dishes. Chicken soup velouté was probably the best dish offered, but the ratio of hit to miss was about 1 to 3. On the plus side, the desserts(which you have to order in the traditional manner) were very good. Crème brûlée was particular good. No word on what happens if you eat your marbles.

Fancy looking dishes. But not the place to come if you are hungry or if you are vegetarian.
