Not the worst hostel I’ve been at, not the best one either. It gets the job done. I don’t know how the staff is because I had no interaction with them at all. When we first arrived, we buzzed in and someone talked to us through the buzzer, giving us directions. The sheets and towel are not included in the price! Bed is pretty comfortable, though the rooms are petty small and there’s not a lot of room. They also keep the rooms quite (too) warm! I wouldn’t recommend staying here although if you like Old Town, I guess location is good.

I think Archipelago is great for being in the middle of old town and close to all the sights. I didn’t think noise was an issue, and I was there to run a marathon, which demands quality sleep. I was there in the summer, so the long day light hours were interesting, especially without dark curtains. The room and bathrooms were clean (shared bathroom for us). It’s exactly what you should expect for a hostel. I’d go back.

The rooms in this hostel look out over an incredibly noisy Irish bar which stays open into the late morning. When an (awful) live band was not playing, noisy drunks hung out outside our window shouting to each other until well past 1 am. We will not be coming back.
