Delicious food and huge portions. Found this place half empty on a Saturday night which was surprising considering the quality of the food and service. Would go again!

Was keen to try this place after being told about it by a colleague. After reserving a table we were seated with a delay as there were vacant tables waiting to be cleared. Once seated a cursory glance at the menu appeared promising and a two course dinner with wine was ordered. The service was slow and the food over seasoned with salt. Staff appeared stressed and the place really lacked character and had a generally bad atmosphere.

We went for a meal on Monday night to take a few girls in my team out for a meal. I knew that Silvanos original restaurant didnt have a very good reputation, but things change and therefore we wanted to try it as the menu looked pretty cheap. Unfortunately nothing has changed and although the staff were friendly the food was horrendous. I would rather pay a little bit more for good quality food. I understand that its all new, but they certainly need to be more organised. Paper napkins are never a good look and the counter looks like its a scene from the 80s.

We went to Silvanos a few weeks ago but sadly never got to taste the food as the service was so slow it was non-existant! Admittedly we were quite a large group, however I had booked the table a few weeks prior to our visit, so they new how many they would have to cater for; they were more than happy to take our large deposit. The staff were not particularly helpful or polite, manners go along way! It was so unorganised, no one seemed to know what to do. We had waited for so long that we decided to leave and eat else where. I would not go here again.

We had read these great reviews on and decided to book. We were not happy with the less that great food. We were served sliced bread + melted butter,(this was supposed to wet our appetites.) The service was quick and freindly, it was a shame our Pizza’s were cold and bland(just containing cheese, thin cut ham and white onions) Its a real shame because the staff were great. just heating the plates would have helped our disappointing experience.

Silvanos is a lovely restaurant and it’s a real treat to go. The last time I went was for my partners birthday and we had a wonderful time — I brought a birthday cake for my partner and the staff were more than happy to take into the kitchen and serve it with sparklers after our meal. The food was delicous, as we were pushing the boat out I opted for a duck dish, I would usualy choose pizza as it is a slightly cheaper option — but no, I’d never eaten duck at an Italian restaurant and I wasn’t disapointed, it was beautifully tender, moist and suculent.(my mouths watering just thinking about it).
