Now called The Oaken Arms Not too keen on this place as it’s too close to the road to sit outside comfortably and the prices are quite steep for both ale and food. Still it looks lovely as you drive past and looks great inside too. Oh and judging from the cars in the car park you need to drive a merc, audi or BMW to drink or eat here! As a minimum.

The Foaming Jug on the A41 is a great place to have a quite drink with friends. The food is okay and priced reasonably. Inside the atmosphere is always pleasant and the décor pleasing. Here I always find the staff helpful and maybe short staffed at times but friendly.

I normally visit this pub to eat. I’ve only ever had a drink here once or twice. It’s not the ideal place for a drink with a couple of mates(more so with a girlfriend/boyfriend, but there’s still better places) unless you’re sitting outside in the sun. Great food here, though. I’ve been far more than satisfied by every meal I’ve ate here, and the service is great too.

The Foaming Jug is a busy pub, but me and my family weren’t hugely impressed with the food on offer. The menu is extensive and the specials tempting, however, we were all quite disappointed on tasting our dishes. We did all enjoy our desserts, though! As a pub it is very pleasant, with lots of character, and a charming outside garden area at the front. It is family friendly and offers colouring in and games to keep smaller children occupied. Reasonably priced, and they offer special seasonal alcoholic and non-alcoholic cocktails which are delicious. Shame that the food isn’t up to the standard as everything else.
