Three Frogs

British pubs aren’t really known for their food quality. Three Frogs is no exception. It’s a sleepy place that serves the typical fare. Their hours are weak — twice I’ve walked in before official closing time but they’ve essentially already shut down. And there are never more than 5 people in the place.
They are about the only place in town for meals later in the evening. That’s their saving grace.

Now to completely confuse this review when I went to the Three Frogs, I didn’t have a drink…

I know, take a deep breath. Relax it’s ok, sometimes I don’t drink Ale, It’s still Toby I haven’t been abducted.
This removes my usual major review point so I’ll have to focus on the other bits.
The Food, really nice. starters we had the mini burgers sample jobby, and a sampler platter type thing which had nachos, chicken, garlic bread etc on its. Starters all ticked boxes of tastyness, infact if I go back I’d be tempted to have the burger sampler as a Main course it was guuuurd.
Main I had a gourmet burger, hand pressed patties, bacon, cheese, deliciouness… It was vaaary tasty.
All in all the food was very filling and tasty, which is good as when you go out for food I’m fairly sure those are two of the primary things you look for.
The staff were initially attentive, though as the meal went on and the place got a little busier we did find it a little difficult to get hold of anyone, especially at bill paying time where we ended up going to the bar to pay which seemed to confuse the staff.
I would definitely go again, just on the food, and hopefully next time I’ll see if the beer meets the same level

It is a while since we came to this pub restaurant and made a special day to come again since we have a few days off work.
The welcome was good and we were served quickly with our drinks which we took into the restaurant.
They had a special offer of two Premium Meals at £9.95 (for 2 persons !!!)and we decided on the Ham and Eggs and a large glass of wine each (one white one red).
The portions were huge and very tasty with a nice selection of sides
Follow up was good and we thoroughly enjoyed lunch.
We will return
There is also a Quiz night on Wednesdays starting at 9pm with Cash Prizes…
Lots of room for parking.
