The Tower Brasserie

Service both slow and disinterested. It literally took 40 minutes for them to bring a cheese sandwich (which was grossly thick with butter, btw). Food was mediocre to awful for our party of 4.

The views are good, but go there when it is quiet to get the service. A little on the pricey side.

Fantastic soup starter but felt the main course selection was poor. Had a leaking roof while we were there, staff were friendly but did not have first choice selection on the menu (which I’ve read a number of other customers have complained about).
Atmosphere was very nice with a nice live sax player.
Made a huge faux pas by presenting my main course 10 minutes before my partners was even ready… had to send it back to the kitchen.
It’s overpriced from what we experienced. I was quite offended by the enforced 10% service charge too — I would not have tipped that much given the option. We paid £70 in total for two starters, two mains and a bottle of wine (£20).

The Tower Brasserie is the restaurant of the newly refurbished Harte & Garter hotel. The location in Windsor is perfect, right opposite the Castle. The restaurant serves good traditional British cuisine. The restaurant has been refurbished very well in keeping with the Georgian features. My only negative would be that the restaurant can be quiet at times and therefore lacking in atmosphere. They do have booths for parties of 4 — 6 and if you can get one of these — they have greta views of the Castle.
If you are looking for somewhere to stay — woudl definitely also recommend the hotel — the bedrooms are of a great size and the décor is lovely. Vey well refurbished — just what Windsor needed!

Great locationopposite Windsor Castle so great views out of the window. The seating’s really comfy and it looks very classy inside.
The food is delicious but it is expensive.
Staff are very friendly and ready to cater for your every whim, I’ve only been for lunch but I really enjoyed it and they do make you feel like a valued customer.
