Yes, it hit the spot! Their Fish & Chips are the best I have ever had!
Highlights: Food was delicious, cooked to perfection and ample quantity, Location was easy to find with tons of parking, Staff was friendly with good décor and a huge indoor and outdoor sitting area.
Can improve: Provide outdoor service. During these great summer days I want to enjoy the outdoor seating and not run around for food.
Benchmark: They set the standard for pub food in my book and I have dined in many pubs in London.
Dined in June 2015 and will definitely return.

Excellent food and friendly atmosphere in this village pub. Fish and chips in particular were outstanding.

We came here after the Dorney Lake half marathon on Sunday. We were starving so maybe the food tasted a bit better than it would under normal circumstances, but it was genuinely fantastic food and really reasonably priced. I had a beef stir fry, others had a roast, others macaroni cheese, and such variety can sometimes mean the quality of everything suffers as they are not focusing on one style of cooking, but that was definitely not the case here.
The locals all seem to know how good it is as well, it was lucky we’d booked a table. If you ever need to take some old people for a Sunday lunch near Windsor this is the place.

One of the top two or three overall pubs in the greater Windsor area. Other pubs may beat it on individual aspects like ye olde worlde charm or maybe the wine lust but it is so consistantly good we take work colleagues there weekly now and leave the other pubs off the list. Try the fish and chips, its one of the best I’ve had in ages.

The Palners Arms is in the beautiful village of Dorneynot far from the Pineapple pub! This is more of a gastro pub than a traditional puband the prices reflect this. However the food and service is excellent.
They have a great website and look out for their offers. The garden is beautiful with decking and parasols and ideal for those balmy summer days, having a long lunch or early dinner with a glass of pimms or champagne! They also have jazz bands playing in the summer sometimes outside in the garden and this can really make the day/​evening a special occasion.

The Palmer Arms is a nice Gastro Pub located in the village of Dorney on the B3026 between Taplow and Eton, just 5 minutes from the M4 Junction 7. There is a large car park to the side and a pleasant Beer Garden to the rear.
There is a large sign proclaiming Best Dining Pub in Buckinghamshire an accolade it received from The Good Pub Guide ²⁰⁰⁶⁄₀₇. There is a small bar area near the road, but the rear of the building is dedicated to the celebrated restaurant.
Starters range £4−7 including: Parma Ham, Vine Tomatoes, Feta Cheese and Baby Spinach Salad; Asparagus wrapped in Palma ham: Saddle of Rabbit with sweet potato; Smoked Duck & Mango with Rocket & Sweet Mustard Dressing; mushroom risotto.
Mains were £10−18 including: Red onion, feta & butter nut Tarte Tatin; Classic Caesar salad with chicken, garlic croutons; pan fried Swordfish steak with roasted Mediterranean Vegetables, Buttered spinach & lemon sauce;
I went for Cream of Tomato & Basil soup with Rustic Breads: a nice bowl of soup swirled with cream and served with a single thick slice crisp white bread. The only snag is when I read rustic breads I expected more than one type, and the dish had presumably sat under the heated lights on the pass for too long because the obviously fresh bread was going a bit dry and hard on the outside.
I followed this with Medallions of pork, mustard grain mash & wild mushroom sauce and added a side order of buttered spinach with nutmeg (£2.50). This was very tasty and unusually the pork was served a little pink.
The whole meal was well prepared, the glass of house wine was good, the staff were friendly and helpful: recommended.
