I stayed here for a few weeks on a business trip recently and I was very happy overall. Breakfasts were good, the pub had some decent fair(try the salmon), and the dinners there were outstanding. It seems that weddings are their forte, so expect the occasional wedding party in the bar, or out in the garden taking photos. The free wifi was fast, there was tea and biscuits refreshed daily in the room, and the service was always friendly and attentive. The grounds are really quite pretty, and there is a small pond hidden away from view. The pond was a nice place for a cup of morning tea and a pipe of strong English tobacco. Wilmslow is full of mansions that have been converted into hotels. This one is certainly not expensive when compared to some of the others, and offers top notch service and food to boot. It is a short walk(about a mile) to Wilmslow center passing by many gorgeous houses on the way. There’s a wine shop right down the road, and a pretty decent pub as well(Bull’s Head at the Premier Inn). I’ve been told by friends that you want to be sure to stay in the«new addition». I’m not sure exactly what that means, as I was placed there, and have not seen the older rooms.
