Went yesterday to eat while I was waiting for my Odean Movie to start. Great place to spend your time before or after Cinema Odeon. They had live music while we were there. Gives a vibrant energy to the pub. Great food and drinks at affordable prices.

The Slug and Lettuce is a great place to enjoy British food. I stopped by this restaurant while on vacation and ordered the fish and chips. The fish and chips itself were really great. The portions were HUGE and satisfying. The fish was battered perfectly tasted great. The chips were delicious as well. I found the tartar sauce to be strange as it tasted more like salad cream. It was overly sweet and way too creamy. The restaurant itself looks great but it can get very busy during lunchtime. We dropped by around 1ish and were seated in the oddest way. One member of our party was very far away– the seating was totally inappropriate. Our waiter moved us later but they should not seat people in this fashion. It’s is very unprofessional. Our waiter was nice but was very rushed all the time. It was hard to get his attention. it was obvious the restaurant was understaffed. Overall, I give Slug and Lettuce a 3.5. The food is great but the service and seating needs to change.

Not so bad place to grab some food in uxbridge. It is not fine dining, but it is honest pub food. Very handy for the Odeon Cinema

I’m not usually a sucker for chain restaurants, but in the UK, with the amazing quality of dishes and selections for every diet(vegetarian, please!), it’s hard not to give The Slug and Lettuce a shout out. Okay, maybe I have lots of great memories of this place because during a very lengthy stay in the UK, I spent lots of time on the Uxbridge High Street with family, my BF and friends and the Slug and Lettuce was one of our favorite haunts. The Slug & Lettuce is good for a quick lunch, a glass of wine after work(it’s close to the station if you want to grab a drink before headed home), or dinner. It’s family friendly, has plenty of vegetarian options(the lasagna is my favorite) and a reasonable selection of cocktails, beers and wines to choose from. The prices are fair, the portions are plentiful and you’re not bothered with annoying service and constant check-ups from the staff. You’re left to your own devices and if you’d like a drink or a plate of chips, it’s no problem. This is the only location I’ve ever been to and for sentimental reasons(and a satisfied appetite), I know I’ll be back.

Nice place for a lunchtime meal, affordable and comfy chairs. Staff are good. They don’t skimp on portions either. The posh fish fingers are delish!

Eaten here on two occassions and both times the food has been absolutely awfull. The only redeeming factor was the 50% off the meal voucher that we had for the second meal(we had to go back twice because we didn’t think a place could be so bad twice — we were very wrong). I think they produce these % off vouchers just to cut down on customer complaints. The food is expensive, very poor and the second time I visited they ran out of steak(how can a pub restaurant run out of steak at lunch time — very poor stock management). I ordered a rare steak and it was delivered very well done(almost cremated), when I stated that I ordered a rare steak they replied by saying there was no more steak available and would I like an alternative(no offer of price reduction or any other compensatory measure such as a free drink), however by this time they had already delivered my wifes meal which was either to go cold whilst waiting for my replacement or we would both have to eat our meal on our own. The waiter was very apologetic(not his fault), but it was apparent that the chef couldn’t have given a s**t. Customer service leaves ALOT to be desired, its almost as bad as the very expensive tasteless food. If you go to this place AVOIDBUYINGFOOD. On the one occassion I went here just for drinks it was actually quite enjoyable.

Wow that was an expensive burger. No wonder they can do 50% off on a Monday the prices are really high to start with.

A very good offer on modays when you get half price! I like the location and its a great place to sit down and chat with friends. Forms a nice trio along with the Auberge and the Pizza Express. Makes Uxbridge feel upmarket, while keeping your feet on the ground.

The slug and lettuce is a great little bar and restaurant located next to the Chimes shopping centre in Uxbridge. This is a great place that is often busy in the evening; it is a great place to catch a quick pint before heading home after a days work. The décor is what you would expect from any bar and is rather comfortable; there are tables and eating and also sofas for those who just need a place to relax. The slug and lettuce also have a great food menu. I am particularly a fan of their crispy duck, which tastes just as good as any Chinese restaurant. This is made even better with their 50% off food on Mondays!
