As any local young ‘un will tell you, Uxbridge ain’t no party town. Baroosh is a testament to that. Because, despite being one of the nicer bars in town, it’s still very mediocre. The cocktails are sugary and strong, the crowd is young and loud, the music is chart and banging. If you’re going to come here, start your night off here and go pub crawling. Or come for lunch when, strangely, it’s busier and the atmosphere happier.

Never been disappointed with the food, when I visited this place. Although the service can be a little slow, when busy and when it is not so busy.

I’ve only been to Baroosh a few times, but out of all the places you can visit in Uxbridge for a quick bite to eat and a decent selection of cocktails, beers, and wine, Baroosh hits the spot. Being a vegetarian in England is a wonderous thing. Coming from the midwestern United States(steak and potato-ville), vegetarian dishes that are worth spending money on are a fearsome thing to behold. I wasn’t hurting for choices and ended up with a balanced meal, a bowl of chips, and a quiet corner for conversation. Our server was bubbly, personable, friendly and attentive. She was courteous and patient as my Aunt and I had lunch and kept forgetting to read the menu amidst good conversation. When we finally ordered, our dishes arrived hot. I would go to Barroosh again, maybe for a group meal or a few drinks. My experiences have been limited, but it’s a nice place, a few steps away from the station, and isn’t painful on the wallet. I’d happily indulge here again the next time I have a few hours to spare in Uxbridge.

Nice clean friendly place, good selection of drinks and plenty of seating. Didn’t try the food but it looked good on other peoples tables.

Lovely bar that served food til late… it will always be the place that introduced me to the delicacy of yorkshire pudding. I went on a Sunday and had the Sunday roast… I think it was vennison, and it was gamey. I often wondered if things would have been different if I had tried the pork or chicken, but alas, this first meal didn’t give me enough for a good first impression to come back… but I would suggest this as a nice place to get a drink around these here parts in Uxbridge. The food just isn’t flavorful enough for me to keep coming back.

Upscale pub and eatery located right next to the Uxbridge tube station, Baroosh’s glass front is very appealing and modern. Sitting inside are the usual tables and a long bar facing a quite American style glass shelving of beers and wines. There are also some more laid-back seating with low tables. I was here with three of my customers for lunch, so no alcohol was consumed. A beefburger with cheese and bacon was both declared delicious, as was a Mexican Quesadilla(though the one of us with Mexican roots wasn’t impressed) and a pizza with large slices of portabella mushrooms and rocket. Service was good — the waitress engaged us in conversation and took care of our table. Prices were reasonable. I did see a good selection of bottled beers and wines on display — I didn’t manage to see what was on draft.

I think the other reviews are pretty accurate. Very attractive décor and we had comfy chairs near the window. Drinks rather expensive for the area. Food served is fairly trendy(all sandwiches are on ciabatta or soda bread or at least some upmarket form of bread). Mains between £7 and £9 at lunch(this may be an all day menu). My colleague had the rib eye sandwich which was good. My moules marinieres tasted ok but could have been warmer. Service was pretty fast– the manager told us they aim to serve within 15 minutes of ordering– though my colleague who has been before was sceptical about this). Anyway a very pleasant two hours in a congenial environment. Given that some of the other bars in Uxbridge are ropey it’s not a bad bet for Uxbridge.

Blending into the adjacent Chimes shopping centre and numerous coffee shop, this gem is nevertheless inviting with its tall glass front. Comfortable seats, calm atmosphere yet with a faint buzz. Come Monday evenings and the salsa upstairs is vibrant! Nice main dishes and desserts, also special theme menus on festival days from all over the world.

The best location, a few steps from the tube or bus. Very modern looking. I find quite a few companies book the place for their company parties and it is usually quite busy on any given day. Tried a quesadilla for lunch the other day and was not very impressed. The rest of the menu looks quite good.

Nicely styled bar. Right in city centre and metres from the tube and bus station. Always seems a bit too sophisticated for me! I find the drinks a bit pricey so i tend to only go here to meet up with friends, as it’s never that busy. It’s over 21’s i believe. They also serve food(day and eve), but i havent tried it so i wont pass judgement yet! x

This is a very good restaurant. You feel as though you are eating out in the City, and not in Uxbridge. The décor is modern, and the food is excellent. I have been there a couple of times for birthday celebrations, and leaving do’s. The prices are also reasonable. Their Xmas menu dish year is absolutely divine and only £19.95. The lunch-time menu is also very tasty.
