Me and my wife went to Torquay for a short weekend break just to relax and chill out after a long week. I went there compelled by all the positive reviews (i love italian food) and I have to say we spent a remarkable night.
The food was very nice I had tagliatelle with walnut sauce (lovely just creamy as I like it!) and trio of game meat. No dessert for me (i don’t like them, what a shame) but my wife had a tiramisu and confirmed the goodness of it almost licking the empty plate! :)
We drank a bottle of Chardonnay good balanced white from Italy, good value for money. We’ve been offered a glass of lemoncello at the end of the meal.
The service was quick, considering that Eva (the chef’s wife) was serving alone a fully booked restaurant! The chef spent a couple of minutes with us after the service (as he did with all the other tables) to check if everything has been perfect. And it was!
We’ll be back, hopefully before the next summer!
