This is not a bad pub at all; it’s not the place to go if you want a kicking night out or pull — but great for being able to catch up with old friends. Quite large too, but small enough to be noticed as non-regulars as it it is about 5 minutes walk out from the lairy bars in the centre of town. A couple of unusual features include the mini screen built into the taps to watch if you’re finding the conversation with your drinking buddies hard going, and the old red telephone box towards the back. Not forgetting the dartboard for those that love to throw the arrows, this is the chosen warm up venue for those that intend to attend the nearby recommended Maharaj Curry house.
