Starbucks

Went here with my new loyalty card, only to be told I have to load £5 to at least use it but not today as it takes 24 hours to load onto the card to use to buy future coffee. In my opinion that’s not a loyalty card but a pay as you go card, sorry Starbucks but back to Costa coffee for me.

You don’t have to go too far to come across Starbucks haters. On the whole it’s just trendy to hate Starbucks and tell everyone about it. Well, that’s what I thought until I came across this truely nasty little excuse for a Starbucks in a pokey backwater of a place called Taunton.
Queue out of the door, tables in a state and the 3 girls ‘running’ (iPhone corrected that to ‘ruining’ it who am I to argue with Steve Jobs!) it working in slow motion with a couldn’t give a sh1t attitude. Where does Starbucks find these muppets? But more importantly why do they employ them?
As I said AVOID!

This Starbucks is always a favorite place to stop for coffee when we visit Taunton to pick up groceries and/​or supplies. It’s extremely well located (near the center of town) and the coffee, food and ambiance is always consistently good.
Admittedly, there are other decent coffee places nearby– it can be difficult to choose at times! But we always seem to visit this particular Starbucks to get things we know and really like (e.g. one of those delicious sandwiches that they feature in their showcase). The chairs are comfortable, the music is often great and the wi-​fi is really appreciated — it’s a good place to visit if you’re in town! If the weather is good, the outside seating is also appreciated.

Starbucks in Taunton. We went in because it was raining. The queue moved quite quickly, despite us being undecided and getting in the way. I always have a cappucino in places like this, because the amount of choice is too much. The drinks are always too big, and because I dont like drinking hot drinks until they are nearly cold, I always get caught out by everyone else finishing first, and being ready to go. It is a large coffeehouse with lots of seating at different heights. Staff were friendly despite our lack of decision.

Nice place to unwind in town. Huge coffes, teas and hot chocolates. Nice cakes and friendly staff.

You know the drill with Starbucks by now. Coffee and other hot drinks to drink in or take away.
This store is a nice size, with sofas and armchairs abound. Interestingly though, drinks are cheaper if you takeaway, about 20p more if you drink in.
