Casual, family run place. Definitely a place to go with family and/​or good friends for a great meal at a leisurely pace in a relaxed atmosphere! I absolutely love it!

I have just read another review on another site and they described this place as rustic heaven and I totally agree. When you turn down Pound Lane in Bishops Lydeard you think you have taken a wrong turn then you come to what looks like a disused barn with a light on. You park, walk through an overgrown courtyard and open the door of the barn and you are absolutely astounded and delighted. It is what you think a converted barn should look like, oak beams, white walls, clocks — go and you will understand! The tables dont match which is great nor do the chairs but they all look fantastic and adds to the character of the place.
Now the food! Fantastic, delicious a problem when you are full and want to eat more but cant. You honestly savour every mouthfull. If I could afford it I would go once a week, it is a bit pricey but great for a special occasion. One of the things I love is you can turn up in wellies or diamonds and not feel out of place. Opens evenings and lunch times. Visit!!!
