I have eaten here many times. The menu is very large and varied and the portions are very generous.
The staff are always very kind at it can get busy, although I have always managed to find a table. The food is very nice and is not expensive, the deserts are very nice and the it has a nice large area for seating outside with swings and play area for children.

I have not eaten here. I haven’t even had a drink here. But… in desperation to find a loo in a hurry, we pulled in for a bathroom break. While I just ran in and ran out, it was THE cleanest ladies restroom I’ve ever been in since spending a portion of every year in the UK for the last 6 years. And for that, I give them 4 stars. O, yes.

This pub is a chain of the Hungry Horse, The food and drinks are cheap but sometimes the quality of the food can reflect the price. They have recently gone under a much needed refurbishment and when i visited the other day the quality of food was much better. The staff in here are always generally nice and chatty although i did have an experience with a waiter who smelt very unhygienic which is not something you want to experience while eating. They have a play area outside in the garden for the children in the summer months so sometimes its nice just to go down and have a drink in the garden.

The Spotted Cow is one of the Hungry Horse chain of pubs and the food is much as you would expect from any Hungry Horse pub. It’s cheap and cheerful and you get lots of it, but it’s not exactly haut cuisine! When I go there I do like to have one of their sharing ice creams. Lots of ice cream full of chocolate. Yum yum! It’s quite near Coate Water and also close to the main hospital in Swindon — the Great Western Hospital, so it’s a good place to stop off if you visit either of these places and what somewhere to grab a quick bite to eat. There’s a childrens play area in the garden to keep the kids amused in the summer months. There’s plenty of car parking space.
